I just read we are losing the v8 supercar round http://www.themercury.com.au/article/2011/06/23/239811_motorsports.html pretty gay as it's the main race event for the year. Even gayer that Lara just spent 18x the cost of the v8's on sponsering the hawks!

We'll try again now that we have been given the go ahead from the admins I've been thinking about logo's and shit for SAU Tas. I thought the best way to do it would be for a heap of people to submit designes, then in say a months time open a poll with all the submitted logo's and decide a winner as a group. I have attached logos for all the clubs (I couldn't find any for NT or ACT). They are there so we don't end up copying any of them. Probably will be best if each logo has a version to work on light backgrounds, and a version to work on dark backgrounds. I know there is a few graphic designers in the community, start posting your designs in this thread.

Where abouts are you in Tassie? Personlly i'd go for a 95 tune. United doesn't cover the state very well, so you could find yourself stranded. 95 and 98 are the only two 'premuim' fules that you'll be able to find statewide.

If full ground effects were allowed back (sliding skirts, tunnes... etc) the cars would have tiny wings anyway, regardless of rules. I think the old 1.5 turbo or 3.5 na is the way to go, but leave the piston count and layout free. The turbo tech that would come out of low capasity engines would be great

That sounds awsome, will the entry fee be more since it's a 3 day event? Is the 3 day event just a one off.

I think it's harmonics it puts through the engine, it's only an issue if you hammer the limiter though.

Change your limiter to ignition cut, then you'll know when you hit it.

You should probably put a stiky up so people know that you are organising it all the admins.

I think the drivers need to man up and race in the rain. They are the best in the world (and paid that way too), i'm pretty sure the throttle goes both ways, if you're too scared (that's you vetool) you can always pull into the pits and retire. The dumb thing is that the track get worse when the cars arn't circulating at speed
