I just had a look at my datalogs from targa. top of mount claude i changed to 5th 7500rpm 216kmh. i know at symmons 8500rpm gets the car to 230-235. big whales need big tall gears does the vbox have multible audio tracks? eg one with, and one without comms

italian gearbox? vids look good, didn't realise how low geared the gtst's are till i saw the speed.

why hasn't anyone tried a 350z or 370z. I recon one of them in the right hands would be in contention for outright.

also safer if you go in backwoulds Porsche style and your seat mounts brake. Less room for the harness to get slack.

i think if you have to take action to miss the exiting car (eg swerve). thats when you get a panalty. maybe heinfeild was just smart and swerved to get an easy position

have a look at marks targa gtr that rolled down the 50m cliff in targa 07, and comparte it to that supra. the supra cage might have saved his life, but if that happened to me, i wouldn't race it with-out redesigning the front legs. good thing he didn't have a bendy jap cage though. our targa car has a dody bolt-in, with front section almost identicle to the supra. dad dosn't want to put a proper cage in it.....one of the reasons i'm building my own car. maybe a thread needs to be started to just discuss cage design, so this one dosn't get ruend.

as far as i knew LWR built and prepared the VIP evo's. At Rally Tas LWR was even looking after the R35. I just looked up some photo's from this years event and saw the TMR stickers on the car. For the record I have nothing against Les or his team (as i know there are some people that do), if i knew TMR built the car, I would have said TMR.
