The guy on the call was rather understanding, he was looking at carsales himself noting the average around 30k. I asked for 40k hoping to settle around 35 ideally or 30 at the minimum... Mines pretty standard too with a few bolt ons and exterior bits and bobs -

That's a good result mate. I was asking for at least 30k agreed which seems logical given the prices you see these days but I guess I just got an underwriter that was too business minded lol -

Opinions On Buying This R33 Skyline
okooko replied to Blakeo's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Dark looking photos, front bar looks a bit scratched up, rims are a bit questionable, no engine shots... Probably worth deciding what you want the car for; 1. retain value = which means doing 0 mods after purchase or 2. modify to some extent = which you should find another one that's already got stuff done... -

Aww yea, split dumps, front pipe, etc Even the tip sticks out a bit like mine haha I'm used to it now, actually kinda like it -
Mine did, I wasn't certain if they knew what they were looking at but did provide a list of parts that have gone on and the costs. I think they were just making sure it wasn't some clapped out crapbox that wasn't worth what they were signing up for. I should up it to $40k given that it won't replace it but get much closer than the current $25k

exhaust looks identical to mine! -
The underwriter just glanced over mine briefly when I had in at the shop. Mines still running stock motor but I gave him a list of items I've got on it totaling more than what they're covering me minus the vehicle cost. the difference in premium from 20k to 25k was about 120 bucks over the year. If i'm paying around 2k anyway, another 6% is worth the 5k extra coverage.
-
Mine is with Shannon's for $25k started last year. They started at $20k and told me to bring it in to see if it's doable for $25k. Easily done. If I were you I'd be pushing $30k. My premiums are pretty high though

on 8.5's I'd say 235's would be a good choice for something relatively square. If you're worried, then go down to the next appropriate size. Mind you some manufacturers will have slight variations in their sizing

Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
okooko replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking and tyres
10.5's are pretty ambitious on a 32 gtr -
I run 9.5's so 10.5 = 267 and I've got 265/35/18's and they sit pretty square. lower for stretch and higher for muffin
-
I just take the rim width in inches and +1 then convert to mm. Round that to the closes tire size and you'll be sitting square-ish so if you're running 8.5 that means 9.5 = 241 so 235/245 will do fine unless you're wanting something differen.t

Nice work. 300 is a nice number. Should bring her out to a meet, love seeing more bnr32's in SA -
There's a black 2012 GTR on carsales in NSW. 22,500kms and $125k, seems to be good value.
