  1. Isofix is the standard everyone manufactures seats to except stupid Australia. They have done for many years now; but ADR refused to validate the safety of the seats or the fixture points. All European cars sold in Australia have been fitted with ISOFIX mounts for years now ADR have been protecting our lazy, stupid, backward child restraint manufacturing industry because they refused to adopt the global standard, as it would open them up to competition from far better quality equipment. Due to the death of our Motor industry; ADR was forced to accept international standards which far outstrip any local testing, as legal, and this has opened the way for ISOFIX seats.
  2. I've seen the ones fatz has for sale; they're spot on.
  3. Are you 100% sure that the gasket is in place, and the intake is sealed against the comp cover? The gasket is tricky to get in the right spot; and can swing down on the stud. What about the sealing face of the intake itself; definitely flat? It has the hallmarks of an unmetered air leak.
  4. Given the sealing arrangement used by the AM Performance intake between the two sections; bet my life that the miss is unmetered air getting in through the slip joint. It's a silly idea, and unless it was an o-rings joint; it will always leak a little, if not a lot.
  5. In other news; No other car ever built in the history of motoring has ever had any kind of reliability issue. So probably just go & buy one of those. Maybe a Jeep; they seem quite good.
  6. Either black out, or nip out the centre support in the meshed area (below the numberplate); it really cleans the bar up IMO. The mesh and undertray are more than enough to support the opening without that spar.

Go Nissan; buy through amayama .
  8. All good Terry, hope you can get it sorted.
  9. I'm not available tomorrow, but happy to help on Friday if that works at all Terry?
  10. They don't always fail with the characteristic mil light and no idle, I've had one that would only fail when the intake temp went over 37 degrees, and it would only make the car stall at idle. Everything else was fine. The current issue doesn't seem like the typical AFM symptoms; but checking all coil plugs and AFM plug is seated properly would be a good start, and making sure all the small vac hoses are connected in the plenum and valley area. Maybe check all cooler piping for loose clamps and possible split joiners.
  11. Hi mate, it sounds like your AFM has failed. Do you have a light on the dash?
  12. I think Damian is running a 15 or 20mm spacer, which works out about right against offsets that we know work.
  13. Can you pull in staged; one, then the other? It's the huge load pulling both in at once that does it.
  14. Part number is; 54613AL520 You can see it below in the exploded diagram. You can also see it in EPCdata, and even order online. The link rods are there too; there are 3 different pieces, left and right had arms, and a universal base piece that bolts into the lower arm. Their prices are significantly cheaper for genuine parts than Nissan Australia. http://nissan.epc-data.com/stagea/nm35/6835-vq25dd/trans/401/54613/
  15. Definitely; start with the cheapest option first.
  16. It actually has; not a fan, but it wasn't as awful as the GTR front.
  17. Sounds more likely to be sway bar end links. 2 tiny ball joints on easy side, and they make a racket once they start to fail.
  18. I'll see if I can find a listing; but when I did the custom sway bar group buy years ago, I had to have them custom made.
  19. There's no way to seal the leaking spark plug tubes without new rocker covers. They're unique to the engine, and quite expensive. That's probably the reason for the silastic. Used sparingly on scrupulously clean rocker covers; I don't see a huge issue. That said; when I changed my first set of plugs, the rear plug was absolutely swimming in oil, and the car ran perfectly. Not saying it's not the issue with yours, but it may not be the "magic bullet" you're looking for. I wasn't aware that yellow jackets had been made to suit the VQ25Det; and VQ35De yellow jackets are not compatible as far as I know. OEM coilpacks are the best choice hands down, and at around $100-$120 per coil brand new it isn't the end of the world. 2nd hand, they can be found much cheaper.
  20. The bar is 29mm. OEM rubber are fine, and only cost around $30 from Nissan. I've been using a set of these for years on uprated Swaybars for years with no issues. Whiteline don't do a replacement in OEM size, but pretty sure nolathane do. They also use the PTFE impregnated polyurethane which is awesome, and completely maintenance free. They require no greasing or external lubrication.
  21. What did you do to the NM35 rails?
