I didn't have a very good experience dealing with GCG, I thought it was just me being a low dollar value customer; but a mate had a very poor experience, and he was looking at spending tens of thousands on his $300k show car. Others speak highly of them; but I'm not convinced, and the OP's turbo was incredibly noisy, right from the start, just as Jetwreck said.

Same, years ago, my car had paintshop overspray (primer) all down one side; even weeks after; it came straight off with a claybar. Felt like sandpaper before I started.

Mate, I use Bowdens Own microfibre chamois; they make a bunch of different sizes, and the big one is farkin' huge! They glide really smoothly on my paint; no grabing, which means it can't be doing damage. I also have a Black car; and the NM/V series Nissans have notoriously soft paint. I reckon the bigger the better as you have to do less wipes. It's not cheap at $44 but it's more than twice the size of the Meguiars ones. You can see the rack; it sits behind the diff, and is attached to the rear lower control arms. It has a motor, & wires coming out. Without; it just has a silver aluminium subframe.

Powdercoating is generally done in the low 200 degree range; so it shouldn't be an issue.

Mark, try a claybar and some super soapy water before the paint fully hardens mate. Good luck.

Got to agree there! Honestly, I don't even notice it now; it was noticeable with shit standard rubber, but with decent tyres it's just in the background.
