  1. I hate those stupid things; it's a carry over from a bygone era. Don't use tap water in radiators, change the coolant regularly; there will be no particulate matter to block up a stupid filter.
  2. SHUT UP flamin mongrel: COME FIGHT ME.
  3. Hahahaha! Always welcome Terry; it's there any time.
  4. I'll behave if Blake does...
  5. I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER ALL THIS ZUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTU. Now with added crack addiction.
  6. A reliable Paint thickness gauge can be had for around $260; a very useful tool to have.
  7. I seem to remember the NM35 guys using a 5ohm resistor on the seat airbags, and that is also what the r35 guys were using. Not sure it will help, but it might be a ballpark to start in.
  8. I had a look online last night; as Nathan said, the green spring is stock. The lighter spring is painted pink, and there is also a heavier blue painted spring. All of the literature online; lists them based on vacuum, that is the critical issue to solve. Boost pressure should hold the BOV closed anyway; the spring weight just allows more sensitivity on throttle closure.
  9. Yellow C34 on the M7 this arvo; was in the Stagea for once, gave a late flash.
  10. I fitted a turbosmart compact to mine today; no shudder, no pigeons, but it is a bit louder than a stocker. What pressure is the stock spring, and what colour would it be?
  11. Some people have half of that value tied up in just a turbo changeover... It's all relative. Good on you Beau; go your own way mate, I bet it's going to be awesome.
  12. This kit contains everything you need. The bracket for the rear calipers is the critical part of the kit. https://www.z1motorsports.com/z1-products/z1-motorsports/z1-motorsports-14-akebono-big-brake-kit-350zg35-front-and-rear-p-4626.html
  13. And the bigger you buy; The longer they last.
  14. Fark, no good; hopefully it's fallen against a closed valve, otherwise you're in trouble. I'm assuming this happened with the upper plenum removed? If you know which port it went down, and you still can't reach it; removing the lower plenum may allow you better access.
  15. Silly question; given the belts have been replaced, have they been grossly overtightened? Check belt deflection, and see what you end up with.
  16. This is what I have; http://www.mishimoto.com/infiniti-g35-performance-aluminum-radiator-03.html For the current best deal; and suppliers you'd be best to speak with Scotty, as he used to bring in a few at a time to minimise shipping cost.
  17. Spot on Kiwi; and in conditions below mid 30's; my car runs cooler across the board. The most beneficial move you can make with the NM35 is to fit an efficient, high capacity radiator. Look for one that retains the A/T heat exchanger in the bottom tank. With the OEM radiator; my car never ran below around 92 deg; now my car rarely goes over that in any conditions, and if it does it is a brief spike, then back down again.
  18. Not true actually. OEM opens at 86deg, so you'll never see it colder than that in normal running. Nismo opens at 74deg, so my car routinely runs around 80 deg; except in very hot weather. OEM does keep temps more stable, but only when using an OEM radiator.
  19. Roof does have an odd slant to it; even covered in snow...
  20. Try Amayama.com , or partsouq.com ; much cheaper.
  21. No, the balljoint in the compression rod is not replaceable. Just buy the correct AWD part; you can source a G35X (AWD) component out of the US for the same price as the 350Z arm anyway
  22. My bad, entirely missed the C34 s2 part; my post is only relevant for nm35... Carry on; I'll be in the corner eating paste.
  23. Jetwreck no longer does conversions, and from what he told me; whoever does them now charges an arm & a leg. It's really nothing but novelty value; you won't even look at it in 6 months. Fwiw, band expanders are a pita; the numbers on the screen don't reflect the actual station, and it drove me mad in about a week. Pull out the Jap head unit and replace it with something that does the job properly with stations you can actually tune.
  24. Spot on Cam, the only instance you could have an issue is when using external coolers exclusively. If still using the bottom tanks heat exchanger; the worst thing you'll do is strip even more heat out of the radiator water and improve the cooling system even further.
  25. The bolts do bed into the powdercoat; I always go back over everything after a few hundred kays, not worth the risk of something coming loose.
