  1. Yep, exactly my point... What business did henbane sniffing up my arse, he wasn't justified to be angry at me at all, was doing 70 in a 70 zone... Farking wanker.
  2. THIS. I can't understand why people have those two stage boost controllers. i.e. 12psi low boost, 20psi high boost. Pointless, if you want less boost, lift your foot a little??
  3. Finding a Z specialist without driving >100kms - engine out.
  4. Nah no realy benefit, remote turbo set-ups are usually done due to spacing constraints. Ends up being pretty laggy, but makes similar powar. Also they dont usually need intercoolers cos the piping is soo long, the air looses all its heat on the way back to the motor. That is a f**king sick car. Sounds porn, looks amazing.
  5. Fark yeah, thanks bros!
  6. Hey guys, noob alert first of all! I'm looking to get into come fabrication work, my skills and experience are fairly limited, I've done some MIG welding at school and uni, and I've managed to fab up some intercooler piping for my set-up atm, but its a pretty shite job, it works and holds boost (just), but it's definitely nothing on a pro job. Welds look like bubblegum, uneven etc... What's the going rate for a welder (MIG or TIG, I'd be more inclined to learn TIG, as it seems a heap easier and better for things like cooler piping and small brackets etc..) and associated ancillaries to be able to start fabing up some things? How much would I be looking at? I'm just looking at doing some better cooler piping (ally, so TIG is probs needed there) and small things like that, nothing huge. Any advice would be cool. Cam.
  7. Nothing wrong with being proud of a new car dude! Congrats! f**k 'em all, let's start our own cruise Rowan... 'non-skylines' only...
  8. no. Shit's the same, who ever sells it. 98 is 98
  9. Andrew @ Hyperdrive. They specialize in Autronic. He's the only person I let touch my car, have had 12 months great dealings, he's tuned my NA-turbo build that's done 20,000 kms and 12 months of no problems at all... 92093100
  10. MoTeC? They're that browne sorta colour too right?
  11. Really? My bad I thought they were underrated. But that's my point, given any amount of money, you could fix said oiling problems, and anything else, then you'd have a great motor you know?
  12. -3S-G(T)E: Stupidly underrated I reckon, though they lack the applications (only come in celica, MR2 in performance guise) so this is why they never get/got as much attention as say, an SR or 4G63... -SR20VE(T): The top of the range SRs are guns... SR20VET only uses SEVEN psi and makes 206kw, and they are typically bulletproof when taken care of... At the end of the day, when talking about performance motors, comparing factory specs is a little silly, cos the manufacturers had limitations when designing them (emissions, applicationas, 'gentleman's agreements'). The true test of a motor is when used in motorsport IMO, so that's when the likes of Cosworths and Alfa GTV motors shine. I reckon most popular 2Ls are only as good as the work done to them, i.e. spend enough money on anything, and you could have the 'best' 2L...
  13. This car is perfect...
  14. Yeah no problem, just swap shit over including ECUs and wiring... For it to be legal it'd need to be mod plated/engineered, cos it'll have a different engine in it, and the car will be registered as an auto, non-turbo still.
  15. That hybrid 35r would prob make better powar than a 3076r, purely because it's got the larger rear, and less exhaust restriction. I'd say response would be the same, the comp. wheel's inertia is the same, and the hot side is unchanged. However you'd probably make more/better power at lower boost levels, and I'd imagine less power at higher boost levels. i.e. it would move the efficiency range of the turbo down a tad. think of it like installing a smaller profile camshaft, just makes different power at different revs. that's my $0.02...
  16. Exactly 12 months ago, I started my car up with a turbo on, for the first time. Have had an entire year of not a peep of complaint from the motor or gearbox Also, freeky coincidence, but this is my 1,000th post. woahhhh! Anyhoo. How long has it been since you've had a (major) problem with your car?
  17. I've got an AFM that used to be on my car (2002 x-trail), don't use as my car is map sensored. sell for $50... PM if you want it!
  18. Sure it's not just induction noise? Post a video of it? Doesn't sound like anything to worry about, just you can hear it now cos these turbos are bigger than the stockies.
  19. Stock injectors will max out before 228awkw dude. With bigger squirters you should make power like that... Good luck!
  20. I'd love to come, but apparently I can't. Cos I don't have a skyline...
  21. maybe you're getting confused between a GTT and a GTV?
  22. Would like to see pics of this R34 "series 2" that you speak of. Pretty sure they don't exist. Car sales link?
  23. haha dam didn't think someone would point that out lol
  24. Momentous occasion, I've learnt to embed YouTube vids
