  1. I assume you have tried a new CAS by now, after my suggestion of it on the first page?
  2. I can help if you are in Melbourne, but without a location it makes it very hard to suggest a good fabricator...
  3. Oil viscosity is critical to camshaft actuation, and changing the grade will mean the ecu needs to re-learn the camshaft PWM input figure for a particular advance target. This should happen eventually over time, or it may need to be done via the Nissan consult software. Probably easier for you to dump the 5w30 and put some 10w40 in there, it should feel a lot better. You may have also dislodged some burnt oil varnish with the flush, which has partially blocked the little filter in the actuator solenoid. In a nutshell, run a 5w40/10w40 and stick to it, and change your oil every 5k.
  4. Sticky injectors could easily cause similar. You could get them cleaned and tested for around $25-$30, or just drop in some new ones... Have you tried dropping the boost to 9 or 10 with some new plugs?
  5. Great result there Josh on a budget build. If it weren't for the dip as the gate opens you would have hit the magical 200kw by 4k. I bet it feels great on the road... When is the ethanol tune?
  6. With an ebc you can route boost to the top port to help hold the gate shut.
  7. 6k for an M35... Fark they have devalued. Buy it Aaron. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/442809-m35-stagea-7500-need-it-gone/#entry7279112
  8. A 5 bar sensor is cheap as chips. Ditch the T51 and get a decent turbo? But then no spooool sound I guess.
  9. Why 22psi? Keep it under 1psi, that way it will never even wear out.
  10. Wanker comment was directed at the bloke suggesting it. Cyclists aren't allowed on the footpath, and quite often are clipped into their pedals. Magical button? It's for pedestrians. Yet again, there are no facilities for cyclists in most cases. These would need to be included in any bike rego process.
  11. I have no idea, can't Nissan tell you? There are no differences between the engines as far as I know.
  12. Did you see the main point in there? Bicycles don't trigger the light circuit, so the lights will never change. I am sure many of the motorcyclists amongst us have blown a red for that very reason. I know I have had to many times over the years. Does this make me a criminal worthy of being stoned with spark plugs? Farkin wanker...
  13. lol. All hail Rajab, king of the RB's. I have about 100 spanners of different sizes and shapes. Some I have modified for particular tasks and some just work perfectly from the shop. The long double ended offset ring spanners are one of my favorite sets, I bought the Snap-on kit after I worked out the KC set was so good. This is the best part of keeping the stock manifold. Nothing beats the stock heatshield, and it is so tight against the engine that i can fabricate dumps and screamer pipes with ease, mount wastegates and still get my hand down there to tighten loose bolts. I fitted all the water and oil lines/drains after fitting the turbo and exhaust on the 34. I wish all cars had that much room.
  14. Yes disco, even the later M35 Stagea ran that surge groove in line with the top blade tips. Must have worked well for Garrett to continue using it. It isn't hard to machine in either, but I am not sure it will combat full throttle surge.
  15. Pretty sure they are all the same, perhaps there was a slight design change though? I am sure the old part will work, perhaps they just bought the later parts from a different supplier? Anything after June 04 required OBD2 protocol in Japan, which our engines never had. For that reason they were discontinued. Australia never allowed imported 04 non compliant cars as our OBD2 laws changed at the start of 2004. You don't really need the sprockets, they should have been replaced with the chain anyway. (You should always change chains and sprockets together.)
  16. Solder the AFM connections inside. There is a 'how-to' on here somewhere.
  17. All betterera now mate. Stopped twitching when you got out of the car.
  18. With a 3/8 short extension on a long socket, the stock manifold I did the other day was on in about 5 minutes. There is only one nut under the flange I couldn't quite tighten, one turn with the spanner it was done. I don't understand what you mean about it being hard... The manifold I removed to re-fit the stock one required me to take the rocker cover off, and cut down a spanner, took me over 2 hours to just remove it. It had taken all day to fit, cutting down studs etc, and left bugger all room for a dump and screamer. The 34 has a fair amount of crap in the way compared to a track 32 with no heater of course.
  19. I think I see a swirl.
  20. Good to hear. I have asked my injector specialist for some heated e85 specific injectors for this very reason, should fix all our cold start issues... If they can get us some, or get them designed and built. I can see the fuel gauge dropping on cold start as I drive up the street. If these injectors fall through I may have to swap back to pootrol this winter.
  21. L2S is what you want.
  22. Don't say my name Josh, I have too many to make as it is.
  23. It's also getting colder, turbo cars love ze cold. You also had your tongue hanging out the left side of your mouth, and now you know how to launch an M35.
  24. I understand your point entirely. My point is, I make manifolds, dumps and exhausts for a living, and I would simply use the stock manifold for the power you are chasing. If you wanted 400+ I would be steering you towards a HKS or steampipe. Take my advice or not, it won't be keeping me awake at night. There are always gains to be made, I agree, but it comes down to cost per KW, and manifolds usually add so much cost, not just in buying the manifold, but fitting challenges with highmount setups, compromised angles on the dump bends, wastegate challenges... Remember, I have fitted all types of manifolds before, including twin gate split 6Boost setups, they never install as easily as you would expect. Here is my favorite RB setup which had it's own challenges. Wasn't cheap either, but the results were great. If you plan to head down that path, find a decent fabricator first, then speak to a few manifold suppliers. Some are more approachable than others.
  25. If only it wasn't on that particular site, the amount of brainless retards replying gave me a headache. Hehe.
