Won't it be too similar to basically all volvo estates ? LOL -
Lol cheers, I couldn't remember who ran what but I know Cossie built a 4 banger and thought better of it unfortunately these awesome seasons proceed my birth ! Agree with no high volume manufacturer input, this covers the Ferrari angle and teams can get back to being proper race teams rather then deal will all the bullshit baggage that comes with being a cog in a major corporation. Engine makers, definitely allow the major manufacturers, the engine was and still is the heart of the car, they can gay up everything with all the KERS they want in this way and it's a much more sensible way of pitting manufacturers against each other, engine versus engine especially considering the chassis of a grand prix car has even less to do with a road car then the engine does ! yeah, saw the new PMI deal, when you think about it, it's probably increasing in value as the places where Cigarette manufacturers can advertise is getting squeezed every year, and no I do not agree with all the bans and horror relating the sale of cigarettes. You should have health warnings at the point of sale where it is clearly visible, and they should be taxed to compensate for the burden smokers put on the health system and then leave it alone. Agree about the Stewart grand prix and the whole lotus saga, sad to see such a historic name dragged through the dirt, not to mention raping the companies image. Porsche could come back with TAG I suppose and hookup with McLaren just like Olden times for when the Merc engine deal expires. Williams needs a manufacturer, it's a bit shitty to see Frank and co have to sell part of the team and float it. It's all stupidity, bring back tobacco advertising and leave the sport to what it actually is, a sport.

This thread is actually quite good, all good advice really, Birds is right, they say generally if you do something one month it starts to become a habit and you find that consistent motivation. Terry would probably know alot more about this than me though. The first run back isn't the bad one, its the one you do the day after that really hurts. I also am an exclusively night runner, banged out a 10km started at 11:34 pm last night reiterate what everyone has said, running shoes ultra important, they say you should change shoes after ever 650KM. you can probably stretch this to 1000km. I have 3 or so sets of Keyanos (the only runner I will use) that have more then 4000KM on them each. If you can't find grass or dirt to run on( tough in the city sometimes) run on bitumen, it is many times more compliant then concrete, it will also use it slightly more energy for the same distance etc. Oh yeah and whoever asked about the stretching way back Yeah Lol, I don't really stretch ever only if I ever feel tightness or injury coming on, otherwise if i stretch I feel more vulnerable to injury.

Pretty normal thing to happen when your getting back into running. What type of runners do you have and what condition are they in ? This is VERY important, I only ever buy 1 shoe for my running and it's worth it trust me. get your step analysed to see if you have any major problems in your step, You sound like you have done considerable running before anyway so that is probably not the the issue. Find a brick ledge or something around the house, put the balls of your feet on the elevated ledge and lever your heels towards the ground whilst leaning forward slightly, you should feel a nice stretch in the back of your calves, do these whenever you can think to do it, I found it help release tension that builds up and causes the pain your talking about. if your having issues with your shins ie both front and back of your lower leg are binding up, push your big toe into the ground and lean your leg forward so the face of your foot is pointing toward the ground at a 45 degree angle and push slightly and you should feel the stretch in your foot and shin area. these are just things I have used to alleviate tightness in the legs, not an expert or a doctor so use this advice at your own risk !

Hey guys, If any of you are like me, you will hoard photographs like bower bird. In particular I'm looking for any pics people have and would be willing to share (Just post them in the thread) of the Group A GT-R's from here and Japan. Particularly interested in the interior. Cheers, Mitch.

The real barrier to competing in formula 1 goes beyond the cover charge. You cannot come in and automatically be upto speed with the competition unless you buy into an already currently winning team, note how I said currently, because past wins mean nothing in the most dynamic engineering industry in the world. Not only do you have to have all resources in place, namely people, and facilities, you have to spend money to not only develop and manufacture a car in time, but also spend MORE to catch the opposition over a preplanned period. Toyota understood this, spent upwards of 500 Million per year over a roughly 8 year period, and did not win a single race. This is why most "new teams" are window dressing and nothing else.

Fj20, awesome engine. Sadly you talked me out of it Disco

good man A decent stack lid is something you never regret.

F1 bears no resemblance to road cars, and it is a competition, not a technological state of the union, poser companies need to roll off the environmental bandwagon and f**k off out of the sport. Bring back the cancer stick paintjobs.

Talking to a couple guys who are in the MX5 scene it seems as if the KU36 is alot easier to get temperature into then the 595 RS-R. My housemate who has a turbo NA really did not like the 595 RS-R and says it was some of the worst understeer he's ever had. We put it down to the weight of the cars is too low to properly work the front tyres into that optimum window of operating temperature .
-
Yeah, almost definitely a V configuration. 2.4 Litre V 6 twin turbo would be great. It would be a real laugh at all the moron as well, who automatically think that because a car is a V8 it's a so called "gas guzzler", even though the F1 V8's are some 20% more efficient at turning fuel into movement then even the most efficient domestic engine.

I bet you somewhere they do. and what is your definition of near ? also, what kind of lion ?

it very well might though, given the way additives work and the fact that you are more then likely cleaning off the nice layer of protection the fluid gives you when you drop it. You probably aren't allowing the transmission fluid to do its job properly with such frequent change intervals. -

Dad bought a prado recently, I think it was a 2009. Having driven it, its quite a nice car, and being a 4.0 L petrol is goes hard enough for a big four wheel drive, probably not as hard as some of the stuff Beer Baron mentioned though. I couldn't really fault it and think it would be a nice car to do long trips in. Dual fuel tanks, nice trim etc etc etc. Don't bother importing. PS EPS likes dick. -
In the turbo era, Most of the cars were 6 cylinders anyway, only one or two engine manufacturers ran 4 cylinders. I think it is a good move. 1.6 litres is too small though. anything between 2 and 3 litre 6 cylinder turbo and I will shut my complaining mouth. However the FIA will find some way of keeping them slow.

If you still haven't heard back from Ian, Pm me your phone number stephen and I will make sure Ian gets it. Cheers, Mitch.

Your head is the one place where it is worth spending the coin. even if you use it once a year, not all helmets are created equal.

There should be some sort of procedure whereby if officers are continually having their tickets or charges overturned it should give some sort of avenue of recourse either internally from the police or for the public to exploit. make it reasonable. This way I can guarantee you that a police officer will never again issue a bullshit ticket.

Holy shit Terry, you didn't half have a go ! Will be using this method when my next love session comes up

I had it explained to me that you would probably be changing gearbox before you change the fluid.
