because helical gears have a larger and more continuous meshing surfacing meaning they are actually better (in the sense that the stress concentration is less). Straight cuts are good if you are increasing the actual gear dimension but that is something you can also do to helical gear types aswell.

They all say that in the beginning, but when the money dries up and they can't get gigs, they end up begging on their knees for 24" LOL

Intake manifold is totally unnecessary. Keep the duration as short as possible as from the sound of it you aren't going to lift your rev limit to take advantage of longer duration camshafts. I'm going to assume your engine is not built and your just dropping some cam in the head while it is apart. Look to get a set of camshafts with the biggest possible lift without requiring machining of the head (Do a forum search) something in 272 degrees of advertised duration would give you the sound your after without destroying drive-ability excessively. I would not go over 272 degrees for a lightly modified engine and in your case 264's would probably be a better match whilst not sounding as good. Whatever way you go, definitely get adjustable cam gears.

agreed, I could never do this to a car then sell it. -
How High Can A Stock R33 Rb25De Rev?
Nee-san replied to TurboDoseBro's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
http://www.allpar.co...-vs-torque.html Please read this. It's not all about torque. -
I will say that Dual Entry is Better. Necessary, I can't say but I'm certainly doing it with mine, HKS rail, fed from both ends with the FPR in the centre mount point. When I referenced E85 I did so because generally the flow required for this type of fuel is far greater then in petrol applications generally ~30% more. think about it, Fuel comes in one end at pressure, but is being drawn out by 6 Injectors one after the other, by the time the fuel reaches the other end, you can see how there would be a pressure drop. As for what pressure you should run, talk to your tuner.
-
In high flow applications IE E85 + big horsepower using big injectors etc, it's pretty easy to see how there would be a substantially pressure drop over the length of the rail. especially since our engines are long (comparatively)

stuff idiots say about skylines
Nee-san replied to pentae's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
It will get to the point where the posers and f**kwits of the skyline scene can no longer afford/ have the skills to maintain one in good condition and hence it will return to the state of an predominantly enthusiast scene as with the Datsun guys, this also happens as cars get older as can be seen in the evo crowd, 90% of which people drive them because they are a newer sports car. -

Want to know about the twins ! -
What I can take away from this is OP wants 19 inchers and he wants them now !

You know that power to weight limit P platers have, well that should extend to all women, for life.

Having a Calibra is like having George Michael follow you around intermittently licking your earlobe. really frustrating and ultimately f**king gay.

Hey mate, generally most of the front pipes will bolt up-to the standard turbocharger arrangement. You will find if it doesn't it will list this. should you be unsure just be sure to check with the person you a purchasing it from or do a forum search. For what it's worth, I had a HKS front pipe behind my R33 N1's it it bolted up perfectly. You might be thinking of the Kakimoto Regu I think it is called, very nice sounding exhaust. How far you go with the exhaust will depend basically on what turbos the car has/ will have. If your mate will want more power in the future (he will) don't get a restrictive system, you will end up changing it down the track anyway. As has already been stated R34 GT-R dump pipes are very good and you won't need improved ones until you add another 150kw to the standard figure (just as an arbitrary base) I would go, HKS front Pipe + VENOM high flow cat (google search like $230 delivered and they are about as high flow as you can get with still having the mesh inside it) + HKS HI-POWER silent.

Sau Dyno Database
Nee-san replied to islade's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
Its a really good idea. possibly have someone screen results before they are approved such as they have in the buildups and projects section. IE No dyno sheet and no information = f**k off. Could work easy. -
there are alot of flamin mongrelstables on our streets now.
-
forget titanium, Get a full turbo back exhaust, there is f**k all to be gained in a catback on a stock front system. Kakimoto full mega n1 whatever it is is two twin pipes that never meet and run parallel down the length of the car, probably not what you want (LOUD). Just get a nice catback of whatever brand he likes and add the biggest highflow cat you can afford. once you have this, find a frontpipe, there are alot of copies available now but honestly just grab a HKS one from Nengun or something for 600 or so bucks.

The idea of RP is that you can prototype anything!!!! I guess someone finally decided to make a bike ? Lol. stereolithography is probably the one people find most impressive, prototyping like single piece join-less manifolds without any conventional machining, or a a hollow cube wit ha ball inside that can never be opened
-
I think we can say these facilities weren't exactly on the cutting edge of asset management. even minuscule probabilities such as the ones that caused this sort of outcome should have been addressed after a proper risk assesment.
-
Ok cool dudes, Need new bike, Old ones are shit. Doing alot of riding now. say 150km a week. Want a roadie, IE skinny wheels/tyres ? Budget, 1K but can go higher if necessary without any worry ?> Ideas ? Cheers, Mitch.

Lol 3D printing and that sort of rapid prototyping/manufacturing has been around for ages.

Nismo Coppermix Twinplate Clutch
Nee-san replied to Brandon's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Fair comment, the OS admittedly bites very very hard, that redline to 2nd gear snap where you can just hear the "thunk, chirp" sounds brutal. but honestly I never had any issues even in bumper to bumper traffic, well maybe it was a bit jerky (the higher revs you talked about) but overall I really like my clutch and did not like the nismo at all ! it had a super high friction point eugh. Also probably should be noted I have a Nismo master cylinder on mine (bigger one) so that makes it more comfortable on the foot, although I don;t really get the people who whinge about having a heavy clutch, unless of course you have a leg injury/sore foot etc.
