  1. the words the the senior seargent used was 'just dont all stand there with your bonnets up when we walk past"
  2. Hi. thanks for your interest. I'm speaking with Ryan Brown, Fundraising Officer. [email protected] thanks for you help. They said they had heaps of demand for shakers this month.
  3. Due to various reasons, Commodore Cruise Club and Skylines Australia must change the nature of the Charity Event being held on the 13th of February 2005. We are unable to run a mass cruise as such due to legal, liability and logistical reasons. There aren’t many places that hold 1000 cars at once! We will therefore be changing the event to a SHOW AND SHINE where everyone will be able to meet and greet and check out some serious metal. The Manhattan will still be the venue for this event and we will still be running a BBQ and having a great time. The Australian Red Cross will still be involved and all donations go straight to them. We will be at the Manhattan for a bit longer, probably until about 4pm which gives everyone more time to check out all the cars and bikes in attendance. Everything is the same as before, we will just not be able to go on a mass cruise. HOWEVER, each car club is encouraged to run their own cruise from the Manhattan leaving at about 4pm. As said above, we can still cruise, but just not as a huge mass. Commodore Cruise Club and Skylines Australia will be cruising on from this event on their own cruises to various locations. We still want this to be an event which will be a huge success for the Tsunami Appeal and during the next two weeks, we will be adding difference things to the day to make it just as much fun. We encourage each car club to cruise TO the Manhattan, so start organizing your “pre-meets” and cruises to the Show and Shine. Again, apologies for the change in event type but this will still be a huge event to don’t stop polishing those rides!! Cheers Demnvt and Bass Junky

  5. MCG and any car park in city now out. 1000 cars is too much to handle. What I need is somebody to loan us some speakers so a DJ can spin some tunes on the day at the Manhattan.
  6. We may be able to get the Lions club to help out. Olympic Park has fallen through. Anybody know of a big arse car park for the final location I'm thinking the Car Park under the bridge at Jeff's Shed or one of the Footy ovals near the Zoo??

  8. Hey ppls. This charity event is turning out great. Have donations of prizes from several high profile Automotive Based companies. BUT. We need a hand with a couple of things. BBQ We need the use of a great big BBQ. Big enough to feed a heap of people and be cooking a truck load of snags all at once. SNAGS We need a truck load of snags to go on that BBQ. Hopefully somebody knows a Butcher who can either donate 1000- 1500 or supply them to us at cost price to help out. I will update this thread if we require any thing else. Thanks in advance BASS OUT
  9. First of all I have the following to say. U suck balls. The options you give yourself are not only far too difficult, they make us drool and turn to mush just trying to weight up the options. Second. Eleanor. No question.
  10. I'm meeting a Serior Seargent tomorrow at 2pm to discuss the cruise and arrange their good graces on the day.
  11. Now, I know that this is offically the wron place to put this thread, but I think the cause is large enough to warrant a special exemption. In response to the recent disaster and the ongoing need for international support, the Victorian Car Enthusiasts community has expressed a desire to help out. Well, here it is. Skylines Australia, Commodore Cruise Club and (insert your club name here) would like to invite you to one of Victoria’s biggest cruise’s yet. Date: 13th February, 2005 Time: 11:30 am for a 1:30 departure Location: Manhattan Hotel Car park Crn Canterbury Road and Heatherdale Road Vermont. Enter from Heatherdale road. Destination: T.B.A on the day. Maps $10 with all monies going to the Red Cross On the day there will be BBQs and media coverage. This event is being supported by the Red Cross of Australia. Currently, almost every car club in Victoria has been contacted to support the cruise. THIS IS A DISPLAY CRUISE; ABSOLUTELY NO STUPID BEHAIVER WILL BE TOLERATED. 13. Good find Darrin. You can see why Apexi sell them for so much.
  14. SK you are a constant source of excellent information.
  15. Yeah, Shut me the hell up.
  16. OKAY. Over the last couple of days I have been thrashing out the details of the cruise with a Commodore person and we have had some great success. DATE : 13th February is Confirmed. Location : Manhattan Hotel, Vermont is confirmed. More details to come, but keep it free people, this one is going to be monumental..
  17. Oh dear. I feel a locally made group buy coming on.
  18. Yep. Depends on the road. I had an incident on Bell St in Melbourne one night. Warped a rim, bashed my front bar into the ground etc. Was a big pot hole from recent works. Sent letters to the local council, they said its a vic roads issue, sent letter to Vic Roads, and they blamed the people was did the work on the road. People who did the work on the road paid for the damage. That was a definent fault of the road and there was no way I could avoid it. What happened to you?
  19. Turbo Tits. Can't anodise an intercooler. I spoke to my aluminum guys about it. Too many fins and little nooks and crannys that the chemicals they use wouldn't be able to get in there properly. I just got a pressure pack and sprayed mine and it looke great, works great. Remember, on a road car an intercooler is just a heat sink anyway. BASS OUT
  20. Not exactly sure to tell you the truth.
  21. Yep, see even the son of rajab want's it on the 19th and 20th. BASS OUT
  22. Was going to cost me $1000 for a set, now about $480
  23. Two Reasons. One, to get the wing right up there in the air flow for Snowy so he can get some bonafide downforce from his standard GTR wing. Two, Looks. I like the aluminum uprights look. Three, Looks. I also like the look of the boot on a car who has removed the wing but still has the lower mount brackets in place. Looks 'race' BASS OUT Also, I need another Group buy to play with.
