Tsunami fundraiser Cruise VIC (Combined Clubs)
Bass Junky replied to inark's topic in Archived Events
I'm keen for this. Maybe we could contact HPI and a few others to get the imports photo graphed. Hot 4s will be there, etc. etc. etc. I'd like to support this cause with my car in some way. I was waiting for a big cruisee to be organised. With a whole bunch (even including the RAV4OZ club) in attendence the cruise would be huge! BASS OUT -
R32, R33 or R34. The Tomei Poncams are designed to work perfectly with the single stage VVT in the R33 and the constantly variable in the R34. The 260 degrees ones are often spoken about as the best to buy. That's what I have my eyes on to answer the question once and for all about the power gains on a stock turbo. BASS OUT

Will you seperate? I need two. No problem with gutter marks or crap tyres. -
Hey ppls. http://2style.net/r34sedan/hikaku/hikaku01.htm Just found thing in another thread somewhere. Have a look at the bonnet strips and you will see why we had some of the problems with the guides on cars with the Sports front bar. BASS OUT

Get an R34 GTT turbs. I'm making 200 rwkW with mine (in an R34 GTT) either that, or get your standard turbo highflowed. There's a turbo for sale on E-bay at the moment, standard RB20 ready for rebuilding. ie. Have it rebuilt while you still drive the car around.

The smaller the piping, the less the lag. Smaller amount of area to pressurize. It only needs to be as big as the smallest part of your inlet tract. If the throttle body is only 60mm then 2.5" would be perfect. BASS OUT

Yep. Do I need to coat the wooden part in deadener? The underside that is. I didn't last time..... BASS OUT

Somebody has been feeding you crap. the R34 is the more developed skyline to date, out powering the R32 by about 70odd kilowatts and having much more sorted suspension/body stiffness. Average R34 GTT price is between $35k and $40k Average R34 GTR price is between $90k and $110k

19th and 20th is perfect. Let's lock that date in!!! PLEASE LOCK THAT DATE IN.

CES Twin dump pipes, Options...
Bass Junky replied to Coupe-This's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
To answer your question. I'd say, go bigger. The bigger the pipe, the less resistance there is for the exhaust flow. And get it to merge as far from the turbo as possible. BASS OUT -
Thanks Badhabit. I have previously had the black deadening stuff in the front doors of a VS Calais and it made quite a difference. I guess it's not a hard job to put the deadening black stuff on the back steel shelf, but how do you put it on the parcel tray itself?? Cheers BASS OUT

I'm about to install speakers into my car. Do you have to remove the rear parcel shelf to do the rear speakers?? I want to fill the under side of the shelf with dacron at the same time, I'm wondering if this is going to be any good?? cheers BASS OUT

Hooly Dooly. I'll get the R32 and R33 ones done first, cos I have samples of both here with me now. Once I get them sorted, I'll get into the R34. Probably a couple of weeks away.

Oh yeah, This is another shout out to try to find an R34 GTT standard Rubber Duct. The doner will be supplied with a free steel duct and have the standard rubber duct freighted back and forth for free. I will need it for one week. BASS OUT (I'd use mine but my car is a daily driver and my missus uses her car most days)

Okay, I'm back at work, so I've downloaded the photos to my computer. Have a look at the fit of the pipe. It was spot on but the BOV and PCV returns were in just the wrong spot. I was hoping that I would only have to cut a little of the silicone back, but unfortunatly, it's imporrible to do what I'm trying to do. So, What I'm going to be doing is modifying the original Rubber Duct to include a section of aluminium pipe. Basically I will supply the aluminium pipe and hose clamps required, along with pretty detailed instructions on how to cut and shut the original duct. This will mean modifying the original pipe without the possibility of returning it to stock, but at the end of the day, the pipe isn't the big problem. Cutting the BOV and PCV return pipes would be more of a pain in the arse. Okay, so obviously this is going to be much cheaper than the original style I was planning on, as there is no silicon hoses, half the number of hose clamps, and the section of aluminum is much much smaller and easier to make. I'm not going to guesstimate a price at the moment, but it will be cheap as. Again, the kit will include all required parts to complete the mod, apart from a Stanley knife and the like. I apologise for the change of plans, and anybody who wants to pull out of the buy is quite welcome to, as I havn't spent all that much money yet. Cheers BASS OUT

R32 R33 R34 And OTHER CAR BITS
Bass Junky replied to GDTNO's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I'm looking for the intake duct from AFM to Turbo. Also a passenger side outer door seal. PM me with details. -
Sorry, I'm going to have to pull out. BASS OUT

I reckon it's exactly why that magazine did it that way

Hey ppls. Well, I just fitted the prototype pipe to my car and unfortunatly they way I have made it will not work. The BOV and PCV valve return hoses join the standard pipe too close to the turbo inlet snout and they would go through silicone joiner. I would be able to do it another way but it would mean cutting the standard BOV and PVC steel pipes and this would mean that returning the car to standard would not be possible and that's not what I want to do. So, I have decided to change the style of the duct from a full replacement to a small replacement section which get's splicted into the standard rubber duct. This will mean cutting the standard rubber duct and removing a section, but it will be much easier than cutting the steel pipes. The small section will be much like the one that a certain magazine made. It will be much cheaper than the original design and will also be almost invisible. I have to run now, but I will posts more details and pictures of way the original design would not work early next week when I'm back to work. Sorry guys, but sometimes things don't go to plan. Anyway, see some of you at the cruise tomorrow. BASS OUT

I'm in for both. Manual of course.

Yep, Martin from Speed Technology does good work. You should see the absolute variety of cars they get in there. From a Proton dealer who has one of those littel GTI things making 145kW at the wheels (I've been in that and it's scary) To a 5xx ci big block in a fully custom thing making 180 kw and 10,000nm of torque at like 2500rpm, before it almost spun the dyno over!! He's pretty good at what he does. BASS OUT

Jager. If you need it back I can send it right away. I'm about to trial fit the R34 version maybe this week or early next. I don't think I will need the R33 version after that. But if you need it, I will send it immediately. Cheers BASS OUT
