  1. Oh PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE the 19th and 20th
  2. Whale. disks are the same, they just add the drill holes.
  3. I actually just had a thought about the thing. I could somehow make up a mould of the underside of the wang, and then transfer that into a casting pattern and cast the top section in aluminum....... hmmmm
  4. Hey ppls. Some people may know about my plans, other probably not. I am looking at making up replacements for the standard R34 GTT wing mounts. hopefully these will be the same as the GTR so that I can make them for both. Anyway, I've finally got a sample to look at (Thanks to GTTR34) and I must say I'm both impressed and terrified. Impressed becuase they are sexy from an engineering point of view on the inside, but terrified at the work I have ahead of me to make the damn things. I've taken some pictures of the wang and it's mounts to show you the anatomy of it, both for wow factor and general interest. SO, check the photos. You can see that the mount is actually 2 pieces. The inside section has the studs which attach to the boot. This also is the strength of the thing. You can see the long barrels and webbing. This bolts in the boot and the underside of the wang. The outside section is almost purely cosmetic. It attaches to the wang via two screws in the top of it. There are no screws in the bottow. You can see in the underside of the wang that the bolts go in on two difference planes. I was hoping that it would be just one plane and easy to reproduce but boy was I wrong. What I was thinking was going to be an easy meausre up, model and produce is going to be a lesson in thinking that you can do it better than the manufacturor! Anyway, where theres a will, theres a wang and I will not give up. It just might take me a little while to come up with something. I hope this is interesting to all. BASS OUT
  5. Then have done everything to my car, bar the PowerFC tune. Good blokes.
  6. I work directly accross the road from Speed Tech. Good mates with Steve and Martin. they have lots of very nice cars in and out of there. Martin will do the work on your can and I have nothing but praise for his work. He is also somewhat of a Wold 3D guru. You'll see my Silver R34 GTT parked there. I'll see your Skylne all day out my window too.
  7. No Probs.
  8. Hi Robo. I apologise for the delay, I had an extremely busy end of year. R32 and R33 duct inserts are being prototyped either late this week or early next week. Once I have a prototype and a price I will be posting pictures and payment details. I am very close to getting it all finalised. Again, sorry for the delay but it's all coming together now. BASS OUT

  14. Send them the quote on how much it would cost to get them sent back to AMERICA to have the chrome properly applied and see how much they like it. American's do chrome the best.
  15. Hey ppls. I'm looking to install some speakers in my R34 GTT soonish, and I have been looking at the Alpine Type R I'm running an Alpine 9798 or something, about 2 years old with 3 preout and al the crap. Was the top of the line back then. Anyway, I want to run front splits and rear co-axials. The price on the Alpine speakers is about right, but is there anything else I should be looking at around that price range which is comparable or better. I'm not going to be running a sub but may install a 4 channel amp later down the track (or with the speakers). So, what do you think? BASS OUT
  16. I'm pushing at the Commodore organiser to get the details ironed out so I can post some more definent details so stay tuned. I've also e-mailed HPI to see if they are keen on doing a story on us Vic mob. Maybe we could even get our resident photo guru to come along and take some pics for our calender....... BAS OUT

  18. Go to Whitline.com.au Tech articles Installation instructions There is a PDF which explains it. Basically the way you orientate the diff, either inclined one way or the other or just locked up in standard effects the way it works. One way will induce squat (Drag for fast launches) and the other will work against squat to stifen up the rear end for drifting. BASS OUT
  19. who is the Golf's insurance company?
  20. OKay, so after going for an hour long drive and around some very nice corners and seeing the guys who installed the things, I am happy. The car just sticks now, the threshold of traction is higher. The sound I'm hearing also isn't a vibration as such, just that the back end is all solid now and a bt more sound comes through. I like em now.
  21. Computalign in Nunawading jsut installed mine yesterday. How much vibration did everyone get? I get an audible vibration when accelerating hard. Back end shudders and I don't really like it all that much. Vibraton is the enemy of everything.
  22. You are really limited by the size of your throttle body and turbo outlet. No point in going any bigger than those sizes and they are the bottle necks.
  23. I'm in Mitcham. Silver R34 GTT
