  1. Hey ppls. Well, I'm now starting my next project after the Radiator guides. I'm going to be making up a bunch of aluminium pipes from the Air Flow Meter to the mouth of the turbo. Reason? It is well documented that at boost levels of around 0.9 bar, the standard rubber pipe can suck closed, resulting in everything you would expect to happen with bugger all air getting into the engine. Also, in hot weather this phenomenon will happen easier as the pipe heats up and becomes softer. Solution? I'm making up a section of pipe that will 'splice' into the standard AFM to Turbo duct. You will simply cut the standard Rubber Duct and remove a small section of rib, then insert the section of pipe, then clamp up the pipe and reinstall the new duct. Construction? Mandrel bent pieces aluminium, in a raw finsih, TIG welded. No polishing will be done, but if you want to do it when you recieve your pipe, the aluminum is ready for it. There will be sufficient pipe at either end to give a good seal to to the air. The best finish will probably be either anodised or powder coated. I would recommend podwer coating personally. Currently the R32 and R33 rubber ducts are down at the fabricators being prototyped, and I expect a sample of each back early next week (24th - 26th January 2005) Not sure of the final price until I get the samples back. The standard duct will not be able to be returned to standard after fitting the new section of pipe, but the duct will be such that it will be virtually invisible to the untrained eye. They will fit in a TNT Airbag, so freight anywhere in the country will be $15. Maybe if somebody in each state wants to be a distributor the freight can be greatly reduced. So, who's interested?? 4. I'm bringing the completed Radiator Guides with me tonight too.......
  5. GroundRun. I'll be at the Skyline Club meeting at the pub in Hawthorn tonight from 8pm onwards, otherwise you can give me a call and pick it up between 5:30 and 7:30 from my work. Call me, 0419 101 639
  6. Okay guys. Good news. I just picked up the guide blanks from my subbie. They are getting bent as we speak. I will bring the appropriate amount to the Meeting tonight if anyone wants to pick them up then. Other people, I will send them off tomorrow arvo. Cheers BASS OUT
  7. Hi guys. I’m sorry to those who have those flaps of rubber that come off the bonnet. This is the exact reason that you are having trouble making the guides fit. I do not have those on my car, and it looks like they never have been there. They are in the same place that I put the foam to stop the bonnet rubbing on the panel. If you remove the rubber flaps, they should fit without a problem. Again, I’m sorry but it looks like you will need to remove the rubber flaps to make the guide fit. BASS OUT
  8. The gods of responsible Skyline driving realised you were being bad and decided to punish you and restrict your power until you get onto a racetrack
  9. Yep. It's called a "Not at Fault Claim" I have used it no less than 5 times over the course of my driving. You call your insurance company, they do what they are pad to do. That's handle your claim. If he is uninsured, then that's his own stupid fault. If you can't afford to insure you can, you can't afford to drive on our roads. I think it's stupid that the Aust Government doesn't make it compulsory like in the U.S xRhettx is correct. They will work out a payment plan for him, without any input from you. You will get your car fixed pretty quickly. BASS OUT
  10. Goddammit. Why couldn't Nissan just be consistant??
  11. That's pretty good, but god Kristian a call, maybe he can do better. Tell him I sent you
  12. How much??
  13. Has Kristian contacted you?
  14. Ah, right. Maybe they are factory attempts at the same idea?? If there are flaps there, it forces air to be pushed down underneath the radiator support..... I guess.
  15. SHIT. I did't realise that his was a four dorr, but I'm not sure there would be any difference. Having said that, I do remember a thread about ylwgtr's car and that he had a four door radiator support or something..... Maybe there is a little difference. Bugger.
  16. I get that too. Top arm bushes eh???? What sort of difference would that make on the road??
  17. Mine's a series one, 98 so I wouldn't think there would be any difference. And you explain what bits were there?
  18. Bob, Sorry for the inconveinience. What series is your car?
  19. Anything on the Group Buys not working??
  20. Serious? Can you take some photos of the bit that your bonnet has please? What little bits were stopping it going on?
  21. NJR I'm glad you like it. I think they all came up quite well. Especially since I trial fitted every single guide to my car. Anyway, take a photo for the guys and post it up. Also, could you please give me a trader rating. Thanks. And for those with Standard Bars and AFtermarket bars, here's the story. The subbie who are cutting the bars were going to do them Friday afternoon, but as Friday's go, they didn't end up doing them. They will be cut early Monday, and I expect to be able to ship them by Tuesday afternoon. Sorry to Matt who drove all the way out to collect them. Let you know Monday when they are going to be ready. BASS OUT NISMO BAR PEOPLE P.S. I will also be playing around with my nismo guide. You can see on the guides you have that there is a section which ic cut out but unbent. This is for later modification to force more air into the intake. I didn't want to mees around with yours as I have a lot of playing to do with mine before I can finish it. Also, there's a good chanch that when I try to bend mine it will kink somewhere and I didn't want to damage yours. When I do complete the mods, I will take heaps of photos for you all. BASS OUT
  22. OKAY. Anybody in Melbourne who really really needs their guides today, please call me. I have pulled a favour at the subbies and he's cutting the panels for me right now. Daz and Matt are coming to pick them up this arvo and if anybody needs one, for circuit racing or Auto Salon, please let me know ASAP so I can bend them up this arvo. 0419 101 639 Call me if you need to. BASS OUT
  23. Hey guys. See the attached picture for the location of the foam. Make sure to clean the area down with a little bit of thinners or something first, as the area will be well dirty and the foam may just fall off if you dont clean it first. PS. Don't forget the 10s on Aussiewheels
  24. That goes for everyone.
