  1. Thanks Wolverine. I will have prices up this evening.
  2. Get yourself a 1 Farad cap. The current draw from the Sub amp is sucking too much power and the amp is protective itself. Same thing happened in my Calais. The Cap gives the Amp the stored instant energy it needs. BASS OUT
  3. Goddamn I Hate Anchovies
  4. The CES ricing is about $630 but its a work of art. I think DAZ just bought one. Ask him about it. BASS OUT
  5. R34orce Do you have pics of your kit?
  6. People. I will soon require a GTR pump for my baby. R32, R33 GTR or Z32 pump. MUST be new, not second hand. Or equivalent BOLT IN replacement pump with enough balls to support about 250 kW Possible purchase of 2 or 3 also. BASS OUT
  7. I'll be there at 7
  8. skylinegeoff I'll be there for dinner. Lets say, 7pm. PM me your phone number.
  9. I'll be making the one with the extra valve. Price will be very very good. I'll cost it up tonight.
  10. knore. I'd be careful calling the Boxter S (made by the worlds most profitable car company) weak. It would probably eat most of the cars here around the twistes. I've been in plenty of them, and they may not be brutally fast in a straight line, but they are such a beautiful car you can forgive them that.
  11. So are we eating before the meeting or during the meeting? Skylinegeoff. How many people you eating with?
  12. Well, that's miles from me. I'd pick you up if you were closer. Anybody else?
  13. Hey ppls, I going to make up for myself this weekend an Autospeed DIY Boost Control Kit which controls boost level and wastegate creep via two knobs. I recieve very good prices from Pneumatics suppliers due to the industry I work in, so I'm wondering if anybody wants me to make them up a kit while I'm at it.... I wil figure out prices once I have price from my suppliers, and let you know, but right now I'm just feeling the water as to whether anybody would like one. It will be on an aluminium bracket, with all parts required for simply plugging into your car, you may just have to extend some boost pressure lines, depending on where you mount the system. You can read all about the system here http://autospeed.com/cms/A_0670/article.html and it will have the extra valve from the second article also. So, any takers? BASS OUT
  14. As long as they don't need to do the whole swideswipe thing from teh Addicted To Bass clip!!
  15. Bump. Just thought this might be nice for new people to read.
  16. Here's another question. I have a "Dr_Drift" bleed valve set to the right boost. Can I just include a new pressure reg before the bleed valve to achieve the same set-up? I'd also include the extra one way valve bit.... Or would it just be nicer to build the new system. BASS OUT
  17. GTST Problem being that each dyno is slightly different, sometimes significantly different. I clocked 155rwkw on one dyno, then 126 on another, then wound the boost up and made 162 on a dyno similar dyno to the 126 reading one. If you extrapolate the above figures you could come up with the following. 155/126 = 1.23 (different between dyno readings) then 162 x 1.23 =199.26 (taking modded car back to first dyno) So you could say that I have 199 rwkw if I went to the right dyno........ It's all reletive. Look at my sig and the quarter mile time, and that should give you a better idea as to the cars grunt. BASS OUT
  18. Where's Parkville?
  19. Regarding power curves. The majority of the shaping of the power curve is going to come from the engine pipes, not the exhaust itself. On an NA car, the exhaust plays more of a part, becuase you are talking abuot pulses etc. On a turbo car, the impeller gets rid of the pulses and turns them into spinning air. The best bet with a turbo car, is to get the biggest from the turbo back as possible. and especially right at the outlet of the turbo, because pressure differential between the sides of the impeller wheel plays a big part in boost response. On a turbo car, the less back pressure, the better. I'm not sure about the exhaust versus power equations, but I don't think I will ever be needing a bigger exhaust then the one I have (Fujistubo, Power Getter). I think its 3" or a little bit over. The ultimate front/dump would be the CES Racing one which is split for about 40cm until just before the cat Then a BATBML big arse cat Then a full exhaust then there on. Couldn't go too far wrong with most exhausts as they are all pretty much straight through anyway. Are you coming tonight?? You could have a good look and listen to mine if you want. BASS OUT.
  20. Bill. Don't be dissappointed. I made about the same with very similar mods. I had 162 with unshielded pod, bleed valve just before boost cut, full exhaust (excluding dump). I now have a big intercooler, but that big dip is exactly what I get too. It sucks. I'm about to get A PowerFC fitted thought, so happy days for me. The more mods you do, the worse the dip. Get it tuned out. BASS OUT
  21. I have a super heavy duty Exedy single plate mated to an Ogura light weight flywheel. It's great. Heaps of grip, progressive in its release and doesn't shudder or do anything anti-social. Fulcrum point is slightly modified also, so there not much difference in pedal feel, it's just a bit heavier.
  22. Fairynuff Thanks SK
  23. Excellent SK. how do you go about modifying it, and what sort of gains/losses have you seen from properly adjusted timing??? Does it come with mapping from the get go? Or, how long does it take to map, or should you justs leave it pretty much alone???
  24. I was waiting for a Rotational Mass comment from you rev210. I put the Ogura flywheel on. NICE
