  1. sweet, nice idea. will definantly look into that. Although will it pass a RWC been clear? (cos a cracked lense won't which i've got now)
  2. Got a vibration in car at momment (car just imported- rb20det ceffy), originally thought it was wheel alignment. But just yesterday, realised that the vibration also occurs while car is reved in neutral while stationary mostly around 3,000 revs. This although disapears when the clutch is pushed in. My mechanically minded mates believe it is either the front of the gearbox (selector gears) or most likely the spigot bearing. The car has had a auto to manual conversion in its past before i got the car so we believe it is most likely an auto spigot bearing causing the input shaft to vibrate all over the joint as the spigot bearing is wrong size. Does this sound correct? or what else could it be? We will be taking gearbox off next weekend to have a look but any other suggestions or help would be much appreaciated. Gearbox feels fine now when changing etc, so hopefully shouldn't be damaged?? Cheers Ben
  3. Anyone know of any other models that have the same cefiro idicators at the front (Pic attached)? or even any places that i can get just one front indicator lense for the A31? A wrecker quoted me 50 bucks for the whole idicator module.....wanna find a cheaper alternative if i can.
  4. yup well it all went well. all bolted up fine. and yup just took the banjo bolts down to ABS to get it cut, easier then me stuffing them up. got a feeling i might need to upgrade the brake booster some day to give a more firmer feeling, how many of you who have done this conversion have upgrading thier booster aswel? or did u just leave it? But other then that was a pretty easy job. Cheers Ben
  5. Kaaz 1.5way / 2 way LSD are available here: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...opic=76985&st=0
  6. Do R32GTST brake calipers, rotors and pads all fit straight up to a Cefiro?? or is modifications required to the brackets and brake lines? I recal reading that many ppl run this setup, although just want to confirm there isn't any stuffing around with adapter plates etc. I've already got the 5 stud hubs on the car...... I'm in a urgent need to know basis as i've been unable to source 5 stud rotors (or blanks) for the stock cefiro brake setup as seen HERE and am looking at resorting to upgrading the whole setup to R32 GTST brakes. Cheers Ben
  7. WTB: Ceffy indicator to go into the front bar...(or info of any other cars that have same size and shape one) Located in Melbourne [email protected]
  8. yeah mentioned to them that i thought s13 pads would fit, but according to them they dont, might wait till tomor and see whats the latest news from them. in regard to the AFM been different to the green one, thats quite interesting, is the capabilities the same from both or does the purple one have a lower voltage range? yeah noticed the front bar slides and stays on the pumper support by itself. but i just couldn't comprehend that only 2 small screws would hold the whole thing in place while the car is moving. oh well....was mainly trying to mount it better on the sides so it fits better rather like it is now ---> http://members.optusnet.com.au/beneale/ima...firo%20(25).jpg (yes car has since been cleaned and looking much nicer )
  9. Just in the process of doing a few things to my ceffy for RWC/compliece etc... 1. What brake pads do they use? I took my existing ones in but my spare parts place has sorced both front and rear rotors and only one end of the brake pads (believe its the rears) although i think they are stumped as to what front pads i need. 2. I've noticed that i've got a purple label AFM with my rb20det. My previous R32 had green labeled one, whats the difference? 3. What are the rest of you ceffy owners doing to mount your front bars? At the momment mine is only been held on by only 1 screw on either side. Got few more questions that i might post later when i get some pics of stuff. Cheers Ben
  10. Deleted..
  11. cheers dude. nice price too. although yesterday i just made aware of 2 rims for sale in melbourne that will match my odd set of current wheels. Good luck with your sale.
  12. Parts have been sourced and bought. Thread not needed anymore.
  13. if the tyres have enough tread to pass a rwc then whats the best you can do inc postage to melbourne? (need some 5 stud rims to go get my cefiro complied)
  14. might want to have a look at the sticky on rb30det at http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=15420 there is a good ol 59 pages there at the momment, i'm sure all your answers will be found in there. also give this thread a read http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=67624
  15. yup my white cefiro is on the Heroic Ace . Here 3rd of April yeah?
  16. Hmm very interesting Ash. I will have to ask a few questions with that workshop Don't think i will be taking the ceffy back to the same place, espec considering it will be up for a new cam belt when it gets here. Having the timing belt teeth out didn't cross my mind. And yeah i had actually tested the compression a few months before the problems started and amazingly did have a pretty even compression in all cylinders. Otherwise it Great to hear the car is now going well!! If your still using the same ECU you should be able to find someone in adelaide to do a new map for the FMIC, otherwise i'm sure sam(dr drift) will send u in the right direction.
  17. I'm glad to report that my Ceffy has made it onto the boat Heroic Ace which will be landing around the 3rd of April.
  18. they shouldn't be locking up........ABS should make it pulse to stop the car skidding to enable a shorter stopping distance with more grip.
  19. call up Autlec in clayton just off wellington road near scorptec computer store. i've used them before and was happy with the service. My mechanic also uses them for auto electrical issues. 20. yeah i'm pretty sure mine is also in tokyo, my car's missed the last few kiwi boats and i've been told by my broker that he is in the process of changing shipping companies due to the stuff around that kiwi has been giving him. From what i understand, alot of the other shipping companies are been more efficient and quicker to getting cars outa japan then kiwi is at the momment, again i think mainly to the high demand at the momment and with kiwi's main boat still out of service. For those who have had thier cars shipped in the last month or so, which shipping companies are you using to melbourne?
