sorry Resin. i would have no idea. i personally don't even know if there is much difference between the non turbo ceffy brake booster, the turbo one and the skyline turbo one. but as i said. i did a run down the dandynongs here in vic which has quite a bit of braking. and my original non turbo booster held up fine. still had alot of braking power left at the end :confused: it seems jaik might have an idea. lets hope he replies.

yeah i also did the r32gtst brake upgrade recently. my brake pedal also feels soft but still firms up after a couple pumps. i'm pretty sure ur right been the brake booster. i did a mt dandy run the other week and the brakes held up well. so shouldn't be too much issue using the non turbo ceffy brake booster for now although i will be looking at upgrading it soon. yeah i also got a cefiro stock with no bov. flutter's all the time with no issues.

bugger (i got ceffy, motor, ecu and loom)....don't have the capability meaning ecu won't support it or just that they don't have the plug? cos if the ecu supports it, then i'm sure hardwiring into the wires that are used for the plug normally can be done. correct me if i'm wrong.

I'm looking at purchasing one of Impak's NissDataScan Display units but have not been able to locate a consult plug in my car, has any other cefiro owners found one in there car or know if they exist in a ceffy?? on the other hand does anyone have the cefiro wiring diagram? Cheers Ben

do u know or heard if these work on the A31 cefiro's? i just had a quick look and can't seem to find the consult plug, dunno if it was just me, but any other ceffy owners found the consult plug in there car? on the other hand has anyone had hard wired it in manually?

i personally look at it this way. say u got a car worth 12-15k ish (r32 gtst, ceff, silvia etc) and are on 3rd party F+T paying bout 600 a year u put the difference of the 3400 aside each year that you would of paid for the full comp. within about 3.5-4.5 years you have saved the same value of the car that you would of paid to the insurance company not including depreciation and if the car is stolen u will still get a partial pay out from the fire and theft part of ur policy and have enough to go buy another car.

so you cover the whole seat belt from start to finish with this silicon grease? i'm not totally sure how this will work but i'm guessing it would just make the belt slide through the loops easier with less friction, is that right? i thought it was the actual retracting mechanism that would be playing up...hmm...

yeah my front seat belts also don't seem to wanna retract properly at times, althoug with a quick jab they normally work again, i'll prob get some new ones soon, thou also wanna know which ones fit, so can we confirm that only s13 ones fit, or also r32 ones?

cheers, yeah i was also thinking along the same lines as mine was also previously auto. although no power button on centre console :confused: , guessing that the centre console has been replaced with a proper manual one in my case. but in the middle of the dash where the old auto selector lights are it says O/D (overdrive), so basically they had an overdrive, hold and power function i'm guessing. and up also got that HICAS light coming on due to my lock bar. (although i've since put a piece of black electrical tape over it)

Just a quick quick question, my POWER dash light flashes on the for bout 5 seconds after i start the car most times although sometimes only for a few seconds. - btw A31 Cefiro Is it referring to power steering, electrical power or what?

^ yup thats basically exactly what i have mabru but in a much better worded way, inc the method of checking the timing. and yup i'd have to agree with you. really makes me nervous to say the least even though everything else seems fine. for some reason i really think its the ECU, but gotta just find some spare time inbetween my exams to go swap ecu's with a mate of mine to see if there is a difference. but i also been thinking, could the knock sensor cause such problems if it is faulty?!? have you checked this on urs?, or better still, what so far have u checked and canceled out? And duncan yup was checked with my timing light (cheaper one) first followed by the workshops better branded one which showed same results. So not sure on that one.

yeah idle is correct. i'll give the TPS and ACC valve a clean out and see how it goes.

yup valid point. i'll check this out.although doubtful, as the rubber on it looked fine under my quick observation last time i had a look btw i've added the power curve for anyone to see. doesn't seem too odd to me. also looking at the LAMBDA curve it seems like the air fuel ratio is healthy enough. running rich rather then lean.

cheers for the help. although all this was checked. and when the crank was on TDC the cams also were. all those little markings were lined up and all. that was the first thing the workshop checked and also showed me so i'd could also believe it with my own eyes. thats why its so wierd. seems as thou CPU or something is stuffing round with the timing while at idle but soon as the revs increase timing all returns to normal.......if the timing cam timing was as far out as expected i'm sure the car would have trouble even starting/running and sure as hell would not pull a stock power figure. i really gotta get my hands on another CPU when i get the chance......

sorry my typo (too late at night when i posted this)... was actually 30 degrees not 40. Cheers sydneykid, but yeah i know what each mark reads and it was deffinatly reading 30 degree's. And topkart R33, yup that sensor was also dissconected. The guys at workshop took care of that while i was watchin. Plus set the idle at were it should be 650 from memory.

This is from a rb20, but should be similar as urs. Its the one on the left the yellow one. generally u just replace them.
