  1. so you chose music over French in school then, Brendan? --------------------------------- oh and franky, what's involved in an on car injector service anyway?
  2. They are still all over 'lines in the city. I read another pusuit event following another ram-raid the other day. Both GTR's (R34 and R32). Both got away - real easy. Dissapeared off into Newtown from the city and stayed together the whole time. No split-ups, nothing. Just flogged the pants off of the SS pusuit car chasing them. <---- Not bad considering the Seargant and Snr Constable in the Highway car had combined driving experience of 28 years. Assholes giving us a bad name with the cops. Very very bad news. Adrian
  3. Oh man, i've got some huge aussie flags... im keen if you are brendanf..rofl. umm... i'll be cruising up to 6C. We'll be doing Nasho I assume... Canberra people, meet @ North Beach NORTHERN carpark that breaks off to the left as you drive over the speed humps. If you can find your way to the Novotel North Beach, you'll be right. Just go north a bit more and park... And if you dont have a 2 way, go get 60 bux and buy one for peats sake. Channel 33. I might even bring my Wiggles CD where they sing the national anthem... Adrian.
  4. yes yes yes... Sunday....definitely... not monday....monday bad.... schmeegal likes sunday's.
  5. depends what type of filter it is, mate. If it;s a K&N, you can buy a filter cleaning kit for about 25bux. Tells you how to clean it with the stuff included and gives you an aerosol of messy pink goop to re-oil it when your done. If it's something else then i'm not sure. Only ever owned K&N's. Someone will tell you though. Adrian

  10. ummm... wasn't he a famous hawaiian surfer? I think you mean cojones?!!?!? Anyway, don't "BIG HP" 'lines associate with us babies anymore? That's almost enough for me to sell the car and buy a 180! j/k Adrian

    4th Gear

Mine does it on 4th as well. I just figured the synchro was on it's way out and am living with it. If you're just cruising then try and match the revs to the gear when you're changing up into 4th. If you don't know what i mean, try pulling the shifter 'against' the gate into 4th when you change up with your foot on the clutch instead of just forcing it in. You'll find that as the revs of the engine match the revs of the flywheel, it will just go in by itself. I don't know if this makes any sense at all but I hope it helps. It's just like riding a motorbike. I hardly ever use the clutch on up-changes. All I do is put a little bit of pressure on the shifter with my toe and back off the revs slightly so it clicks into gear. Good Luck
  12. And that's a mechanical engineer 0wning us all !! ROFL
  13. on standard turbo? EBC or not, it's not likely to last long. Rice? Just cos it looks pretty? In that case, ALL gauges are rice. The hand controller can monitor all sorts of things that people go and buy million dollar gauges for. Water temp, Boost pressure, Oil temp and pressure (maybe only on newer models than mine, not too sure). It is also required if you ever want to TUNE THEM!!! Sure it's a Full Computer - i.e. a replacement and is totally turn key, but that doesnt mean you'll get the most out of it just by pluggin it in. Also, even some authorised Apex shops dont have controllers to tune them and rely on customers having them. So in short, I think its absolutely essential to have one. Back on topic though, get the front and dump pipe sorted then get a Power FC. Adrian
  14. Be aware of the NEWS post on the main page about cops and the stories flying around about jackings. And remember that COPS DRIVE EVERYTHING!!! Adrian
  15. [Q] ok, give me the easy directions to the car park, coming from south, up king georges road, over the freeway, turn left to the stadium???????? [/Q] Meet you at Northgate and we'll cruise up.

  17. How will I ever be able to get all the way to Wollongong?!?!? Looks like I'll miss out again...
  18. Had a great day on Saturday. Arrived with two mates at 8:15am after narrowly avoiding the defect station around lake george! My friend Andrew that was due to run his lj on the dyno at 10am got thrown on the thing at 8:30am so i was stoked for leaving as early as i did. He had some problems with the BOV opening when it shouldn't and leaking all manifold pressure after 15psi and peaking his power @ 448hp Not great considering his last years' performance of 484. As it turns out, he made the final 4 and upon running this morning, made 520hp and is stoked at being the 4th toughest pump fueled car there. Immediatley after him was a black VK (?) with plates RAPID8. It is a twin turbo v8 that looked reasonably unnassuming up till the point when it spun up 1206hp first go!!! ON PUMP FUEL!!! The crowd lost it and cheered till he ran it again and ran a 1097hp without revving it out!!! AWESOME! The Gold TT V8 VK won with 1300+ this morning after both cars were emptied of there fuel tanks, tilt trayed to the servo, filled from the same pump with optimax and tilt trayed back to the dyno cell! Intense. It almost came to fisty-cuffs when the suggestion was made that the Gold car was running the bottle but it was all sorted in the end. HEAPS of girls with their titties out, (Hey, it was pier pressure that made me cheer them on!) and loads of nice cars. Great day, Fridays must blow cos i had a fantastic time topped off with a trip to Fyshwick (sp) to top up the DVD pr0n supply )) Adrian
  19. yeah i'll be around... see yah in there.... channel 33 of course... 0417009831 when you're there,... cheers.. oh and i heard a song about your claims today...i think it goes something like, "Dre-e-e-e-eeeeammm, dream dream dre-eam.."
  20. Questions: Is the boost gauge backlit? If so, what colour? How much do they retail for? Cheers, Adrian
  21. I had the same problem with my Turbosmart Type III Supersonic. Tighten it to death will go some way to fixing the problem but the best way is to take it apart and make sure the valve isn't gunked up with crap, oil, etc... Some Graphite type spray lubricant helps. Then put it all back toegther and tighten it right up. What you're doing is making sure the valve (usually brass or similair), is closing before leaking all of your vacuum into the atmosphere and stalling the motor. This is why tightening the valve can help. In regards to the "do they help" question, it is a measurable FACT that they help in MOST circumstances in regards to keeping the spool up and being less likely to leak. Hope this helps. Best Regards, Adrian
