  1. From: Sport Compact Group [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, 13 May 2008 1:59 PM To: - YOU ([email protected]) Subject: Mackenzie's Motor Trimming Compak Attak Hi All, We are only days away from the event. With that we are trying to finalise the race schedule so I need a confirmation from each of you that you'll be racing this Sunday. We have 170 competitors so it's going to be a tight schedule to finish before the track gets to cold down there. If you are not going to make the event please let me know so we can adjust the schedule. We are planning to give everyone 3 qualifiers but as you know, breakages, oil downs, crashes etc will affect this. Over the next couple of days we'll have the schedule finalised and you'll be emailed a copy along with it being posted on our website. Attached is your competitor declaration form which must be filled in before you arrive and brought with you on Sunday but DO NOT sign it. Pit allocations will be made before the event so if you wish to be pitted with some specific let me know by Wednesday night at the latest. Best regards, Ray Box Sport Compact Group Pty Ltd P.O.Box 1080 Browns Plains, QLD, 4118 Tel/Fax: (07) 3200 1363 Mob: 0411 756 000 Web: www.sportcompact.net.au Email: [email protected]

  8. Spent a day in the workshop at Bezerkly today finishing up the oil pump mounting bracket (which had to be modified to accommodate the power steering bracket and pump) and fitting up the intake and exhaust side of the motor. I've posted some pics so you can see what we started with and how it ended up. This is what we started with this morning. The bracket had been made for the oil pump but it used the power steering pump holes instead of those once taken up by the air con pump. This photo shows the new location for the bracket and the holes (above) that it once occupied. The view from the front of the motor. This is the modified bracket with the new 'L' section connecting it to the block at the top of the bracket. This shows the pump mounted to the new bracket and the belt running to it. The long motor with the pump mounted to the newly modified bracket. Then things got a little more interesting. We started unpacking boxes of goodies that the car fairy had deposited at Bezerkly earlier on in the week. These goodies included the intake and exhaust sides of the motor. Tomorrow morning the car is leaving my shed and heading into the workshop on a tilt-tray to emerge soon as a running concern. Starting to get really exciting now!
