  1. Meeting was postponed to maybe this week sometime, hopefully this week
  2. Edited/Closed. This is clearly a business trader ad. If you wish to trade/promote your business, you are required to become a forum sponsor just like all other businesses. Information about it can be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/ Thanks.
  3. New thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/442636-become-a-member-of-sau-vic/
  4. Why would they know? Victoria Police are NOT responsible for the Demerit Point system. That is VicRoads responsibility... The penalties the Vic Police apply are pre-described so they are just following instruction essentially. The declaration, on the back of the fine, just fill that out and then it's not your friends problem anymore. It clearly stipulates that on the form. I think it's just a case of you don't know what you are talking about. I don't mean that in a bad way, just that all the information is out there and you just aren't taking any notice of it.
  5. You can't edit posts after an hour or so anyway But yeah, the actual App you can't edit - Not even I can do it
  6. I don't have an email from you guys about Kyle would be why. Just searched my entire email list (back to 2012) and there is nothing! So maybe an email got missed for other access too?
  7. Business interruption, as part of insurance, should cover losses no worries? Or at least the rental of temporary solution
  8. Thanks so far for confirming. This year Squires Loft Nunawading is looking after everyone at track days... So feeds for all at every track day this year
  9. Not normally, should be fine. Also please confirm your attendance, both spectator and/or entry. Just so I can sort out the catering for the day. There will be: Steak sandwiches (cheese and bacon) Eye Fillet beef skewers (marinated) Will be awesome again.
  10. That's why I've not entered TBH, 100+ cars... Not really great at all for track time given how far it is etc.
  11. Honestly what you've just said there is pretty much a total load of rubbish. It's all still happening, was and will. It was nothing to do with people, it was governments just securing the minority group vote due to sensationalist journalism creating a 'increasing problem' of 'hoons' when really nothing had changed... The news outlets were just capitalising on something that was obviously gaining them audience that would listen... Politics kicks in and the fat knees all jerk. Hell the most senior of Police I've argued with, and had them unable to respond. They lack the most BASIC concept of what might help to fix the problem and are just focussed on nothing more than a purely reactive type of behaviour. That's where the problem is coming from.
  12. That's amazing Who would've thought to check Vicroads for the information and get the factual story rather than someone who doesn't know (police).
  13. Pretty sure it's 7 days isn't it?
  14. Lol yeah. And then they just upped it to $700, the same cost as reg... So if you get away with a year you're still infront. Harder to do now with the number plate scanners, it just flashes up in the cop car for them now. All automatic and easy pickings
  15. It used to just be $100 back 10 years ago or something. The problem with it though, people drive high powered cars all the time without putting up "P" plates as that lovely plate just puts a target on you Hell I used to not have them up even driving a shitbox, just saved being pulled over "randomly" as well... Back when it was a $100 fine, who cars!
  16. Problem is - no TAC... What does that mean? http://www.advicelineinjurylawyers.com.au/tac-claims/tac-claims-faqs The key part is this: A person who was dependant on another person who dies as the result of a transport accident is also entitled to receive benefits from the TAC. It doesn't tell you what might happen, but yeah, could be pretty disastrous. Aside from that they are not really hurting anyone, other than not paying their way really. Problem is such behaviour is maaaaasively due to all these 63km/h in 60 zone bullshit type offences which really - are not affecting anyone. Get rid of those the worse problem rectifies itself somewhat without any intervention... But then of course the Gov't would lost 50million+ in revenue and we can't have that!
  17. Good to see things are being worked on. Thanks for the update, great info.
  18. There is already motorsport sponsors for the c/ship, so that should extent to anything further related to it as a value add rather than seeking additional. Indeed DECA is different, and maybe not discuss this week... But DECA is the 'gateway' to motorsport for SAU Vic and the broader community. Lots started at DECA and are now on the track so certainly needs to be a part of the overall motorsport agenda. There seems to be lots of rumours around about what is (or is not) happening to DECA itself... It would be good to see information surrounding that brought to members attention and also the sponsors. That comers back to the point around communication with member base, awareness and the feeling of involvement etc. Never know, someone might have a left field idea
  19. Good to meet a few new people and have a solid chat etc. Been way too long.
  20. I'll come down, just leaving the shop so will be 40mins or so
  21. haha yeah, and it was the first round of the 3, 75dB and they can't come. One of those just homo-spec type things, stupid restrictions like that ruining the fun... As if a screamer pipe isn't music to peoples ears. I know Andrew loves to tag people on FB, even in the SAU Thread putting it in super bold "It's a 95dB day". Small things, might help and cant hurt to do it
  22. No doubt at all, and if it's $200 and less than 30mins of track time (AKA, Sandown), then it's understandable. Everyone wants max value for money etc so that balance between the two is needed. Yep Squires will be sending stuff to each round. If I'm not there to cook it someone else will be to share around the load etc. Worked really bloody well @ Sandown, especially given it is FREE to club members on the day. Great idea from the Club that one was IMO.
