  7. Read on 100% agree. After I put the Nismo centre into mine... Holy feck, totally changed the car into a grip machine. You MUST have a rear diff done as well to compliment it though IMO. Especially if you have A-LSD, which the OP will have... The A-LSD firmly shits itself once you put a decent front diff in as there is so much grip forward it doesn't know what to do at the other end. Add 15+ years of wear, it's not pretty. So if you do one, you do both as a rule or at least get the rear done not long after as it's pretty shit to drive in a spirited fashion. Mechanical over electronic in terms of what you get more gains from for that type of stuff. Transfer case & Front/Rear diff combo will blow a controller outta the water, it'll also cost you about 4-6k more In basic terms the 4WD controllers are controlling the amount of power sent forward, sooner etc as XKLABA said. However if things are worn like the transfer case, diffs and so on, there is only 'so much' electronics can help with and this is where doing the mechanicals really makes the biggest difference.
  8. ^ exactly this. It's not something custom to China... It's China copying everyone else (well, taiwan in this case) Project Mu probably already have something on the shelf just like any other brand, no need to custom made this/that
  9. Concur... Most hillclimbs being lower speed (under 140km/h), -5 are not the right selection for such escapades. So if -5s are already there you want the max response you can, stock cams and some cam gears set to bring on boost early as possible without worrying about the peak figure as it's the middle area that's going to bring home the silveware
  10. Email vicroads, they will give you the info
  11. And that is exactly what it's about! Good work indeed
  12. I used the street pads, they were OK after 500-600kms, they did take a while to settle down, new rotor etc etc. I swapped out to DS2500 after that, of course they were better than the street but by no means were the street too 'bad' for a included pad. I was going to use the Pagid after the DS2500, but i sold the car... Pagid from what Snowman and others have said will last till the death where a DS2500 once it gets to around 30% left turns to rubbish. I didn't get to 30% to verify but I doubt they would be incorrect
  13. Public transport from Kew to southern cross station. Then just get on a tram, it's all clearly marked for the GP, what gates they go to etc. Forget trying to drive and park.
  14. And some Squires Loft love Had a ok time. Brakes, tyres good. Chopped 5 seconds off in the 9 laps I managed. Good enough. Oil temps of utter failure destroyed any further time improvements.
  15. Wouldn't be a waste, but you'd benefit more going wider, no doubt about that at all. Should not set you back anymore than $450, probably even less!
  16. Low traction actually increases the mph by 1-2mph at you level. Yeah you get a shit ET but it gives a good idea of what's capable and rough idea of power
  17. He had 4wd though, 6000 on problem
  18. Did you lift off before the end? 110mph is about 220rwkw, not 280, fairly big gap there!
  19. Built motor - 10k+ replacement 2nd hand - 4k (inc labour) so work it out off that. Power wise, read the FI section. Had all that info
