Corsair 8GB: 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 ($140 effective when you remove cooler cost) G.Skill 8GB: 1866MHz 9-10-9-28 ($90) Fair performance different between the two, and from what I've found digging around the Corsair will hit 1900Mhz @ the same timings which is quite impressive. I do a lot of Unzip/Zip which will see a good 15+ sec difference each time on large files (10gig+). Saving a good 15mins over a week is win for me Still digging around though with memory. Perhaps there is a cheaper option around the $110-$120 mark with awesome chips on it that a company has tried to fly under the radar (which often happens). Will peruse the XS forums more for that, those guys always know what's going on in that regard.

R34 Gtr Exhaust Into R33 Gtr - Issues?
R31Nismoid replied to WRRR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Should be bolt on/off for the most part. Depending on the exhaust you *might* have to modify the hanger mounts a tiny bit. I'm certain i have a R34 GTR cat-back exhaust on my R33 at the moment as 2 of the hangers didnt line up exactly when we were installing it a couple months back and the exhaust hangers had no signs of being modified. As a result the exhaust doesn't quite sit perfectly. The only thing was we had to modify one of the exhaust hangers to get it to sit right (literally just heated it up and bent it to suit). Given i'd just blown my pervious exhausts muffler apart, and replacement was $100 as a temp fix - modification was the only option -
Loving the Beamer sound. Very awesome. Sounded better than the M3 CSL that was there IMO. Although the CSL is still pr0n on wheels.

Yep, exactly that. Car is on a slope. Also people need to actually READ up on the 100mm law. It's 100mm on in certain points depending on the wheelbase of the car etc. Pointless thread is pointless

Nah that's one thing I don't wanna get into - SLI or Crossfire. Friends of mine have too many issues with both to justify it for me. Mate is getting rid of 2x GTX280 for the GTX580 for just this reason. I mean i could get 2x 6950 for around $500 and really stomp things but i cannot handle the headaches.

Well no doubt Cozi will see this thread and he can investigate somethig for next Thurs That's more than a week to organise it, and probably a T/S server as well Worst case Clan SOB (who i've just joined), might let me use theirs if they play also (great bunch of blokes and a few of them are SAU users too). So a few options available.

Wrap really doesn't suit it

lol @ world champion - so so true. Silly goobers.

lol Did you have the semi's on still in the arvo after i left? Spewing i went home early with a 67.2 - getting close to the 66 marker which seems to be "the spot" for street tyres.

Be good to see once you get more boost into it, and workout the issues at the moment. Very interested Almost every manufacturer does that, how else do you think they get 10 years out of a motor and "magically" keep wringing power/torque out of it to add something new each year/revision etc Wouldn't be surprised if Nissan already have an end figure/set-up ready. Just a matter of swapping parts, adjusting tunes until new motor time.

Everyone needs the dodgy $20 billabong straw hat I think i got mine from Shepp a few years back?
-
Really? With my super awesome $20 special straw hat, not a mark of red anywhere

Yep, and 2.6l

That's the wrong way to look at it. Put in a 3.5 or a 4" exhaust and all of a sudden you'll pick-up power, no doubt about that. This means the 3" is not flowing enough at 350rwkw and is causing a restriction. It's only making the power because you are jamming boost into it. Think about it, I'm making 360rwkw on 19psi/PULP with the same turbos. Piggaz is making over 400rwkw on E85 and ~23psi I wouldn't be surprised if you found 30-40rwkw just in an exhaust swap! That's HUGE.

yep - shit map, especially when 3-4 people are mortar spamming

I didn't read the Supp Regs haha, but ye would have preferred the "usual" way to gauge the mods I've done in the car in terms of time etc. The Reverse Fig 8 was still fun overall though. Agree on the Race Solutions point. Two events I've been to recently where there has been a lot of time wasted on their behalf whilst they just sit in the 4WDs, especially when people come off. There is 1-2mins before anything happens... If i had some off and was in trouble, 1min is a long time. So certainly room for improvement there & hopefully someone is giving them feedback to improve what they are delivering. Still had fun overall though which is what matters Wish i could've stayed till the end but if gates did indeed close early (Someone said they did?) then probably wouldn't have missed as much as i thought.
