  1. Thread closed. Believe it or not, but since SAU started more than 7 years ago, this topic has been discussed before. Please use the search function in future. It may be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search&search_in=forums While we understand that it can be frustrating to have your thread closed - Please consider that other members may feel it to be disrespectful and selfish of you to post a simple question, without using the search feature to review the wealth of information provided by said members over the years. If you still feel that this action is unjust, then please PM me and we can discuss it further.
  2. Should have stuck around indeed I didn't have any involvement with the judging - totally independent so people couldn't say "favouritism" etc But if you left - no trophy/judging for j00!
  3. It was not a default win.
  4. The silver R35 was owned by Jon - Jonny_r35 Sooo clean and unmolested
  5. Even with my E8400 and HD5850 it's playing reasonably well. The CPU though struggles in some area's and the game will lag a bit. But given it's over 4 years old now I'm pretty impressed with that and pretty certain it's not the card letting the set-up down - might try over-clock it a little just to be certain however Have had no major issues with crashes, more issues are with the online servers than anything else. Graphics are amazing, the sound running through my amp'd headphones/sound card is phenominal - happy camper here!
  6. Who cares about stock cars? It's about two modded russian ones! Whilst this is a GT-R dominated site, gotta give respect where it's due and that Lambo is simply amazing in every which way you look at it.
  7. Great to meet many of you over the weekend after many years! You lot are a top bunch of blokes (and blokette's just for you Mel!) Hope you enjoyed yourselves and getting to chat to other interstate peeps, it's what i look forward too the most at big events!
  8. Do i really need to remind people of a thing called the forum rules?
  9. Can't i go away for a couple days? ffs.
  10. -5s of win joyrides tomorrow
  11. They are testing for noise as i said. That is all they care about.
  12. A noise test is just that - a noise test
  13. JB are releasing early - if you pre-ordered through them head to the store now
  14. Yes you can enter on the day. There is just no more "pre-rego" as payments take days to clear etc.
  15. Yeah certainly a good tip. What I was doing @ Coota was driving around with my foot on the pedal up to the start line to get heat into it. And that was just a 400M run haha. Same thing I do when doing short motorkhana/hill climb stuff - usually works quite good
  16. Ok if that doesnt work the: When you load the page, bottom left - try changing the "skin" to IP Board Mobile. Not sure if it will appear for you or not - i can't see it but it's an option for the site.
  17. I pre-ordered through G2PLAY.net and i don't have a key yet
  18. You do know there is a very easy way to fix such a problem?
  19. It's a Android O/S setting. Not a SAU setting. You need to open the Menu - More - Settings Then check the "Mobile View" box, it'll be an option 1/2 way down the menu items. Then simply go back and refresh, the forum should then be in Mobile view again.
  20. Don't forget who started it See you all in a couple days - I'll struggle to post much - lots of running around to do. All i will say... FKEN EXCITED
  21. Ye sounds like fun! Any idea of the attrition rate? Facebook was telling me there were a few cars that ended up with issues early on in the piece. RE: Surface was probably like Coota Airport which had a fair heap of loose rocks and what not. Certainly 4WD advantages to be had
  22. 86,000kms my arse Have a look how worn the interior is. I'd say it was probably 186,000 and wound back heavily. You'd spend $500 on pre-inspections (body/panels & motor) only to find out it's probably fked. 12k gets you a car that needs 10k of work to get to something you'd buy for 18-20k
  23. How many runs did everyone get over the course of the day?
  24. So what does this prove exactly apart from that it can be done? Given the last 2 pages basically have nothing to do with the question. End of the day you push the stock bottom end power/RPM wise - it is a matter of time before it fails. Just because yours is fine at the moment is no testament to anything in the reliability stakes yet. Do that consistently, for 3+ years and 40,000kms, with more than 4-5 motors - then call it reliable all you want. Sums it up perfectly.
