  1. Please tell me you had the motor and car properly inspected before purchase? Just cleaning the pipes would be the end point. For safety sake get a comp/leak down test done. Especially given the price it was selling at - perhaps you've just found the reason why it was cheap.
  2. If you can tune well enough you shouldnt need them. I dont run them and have gotten 600-700km to a tank Sounds like you already have the MAF sorted.
  3. Well thats another BAN for the growing list. Keep pushing it guys - I really don't care for banning people when it takes me 3 seconds.
  4. View your profile. On the left hand side is "view my content", click it. Then on the right hand side, top right there are a few options from a drop down box. Use the "View all topics Rolls has started" Will list them all for you.
  5. There are "maps"? Unfortunately no there aren't. The PFC is a single map, it doesnt have dual map. Either way as others have said, get it checked by a professional. You are rushing into all of this in the wrong way as per your other thread. Stop, read, learn - then do.
  6. Possibly, will depend if they sell out on the Sat or not. Order one or run the risk of missing out in all honesty Reason being we can't carry "stock" as they are 1-off items. A few extra t-shirts etc were ordered but it was 50 or anything big. Otherwise all that happens is there is a box of t-shirts that no-one will buy which ends up pushing event/entry costs to cover that.
  7. At least there are some see through the wool over their eyes. Poor get the benefits once again where reasonable income earners get raped to pay for it.
  8. Make sure you pre-order online if you haven't already, there is a strictly limited amount being done. http://www.saunats2011.com/entries/
  9. Nah it was just my car Paul That was 6 months ago though. I put injectors/AFM/-5s/retune all in at the same time.
  10. Remember board rules you lot. Just handed out another suspension. Really cannot believe some of you.
  11. Given the amount of secrecy that seems to follow them I'm surprised such information would have leaked. I mean people won't even say a single turbo shat itself. SIF a full production shut down would get out.
  12. Better off with a legal exhaust than one that is illegal (valve based) given you are in Vic. There are a few 3inch items that do pass EPA for when you get pinned. You will need a prope tune as well. I feel sorry for your car being forced with that boost on a shit stock dia exhaust, can't be good at all.
  13. Oh, using phone so didn't zoom in
  14. E85 or PULP? Always good to name the fuel, especially when there is a reasonable power increase (and some response) between the two.
  15. 555s should be enough for -9s. If not a tiny bump in rail pressure will fix it easily. I was running -9s with factory injectors @ 330rkkw - reasonable bump in rail pressure
  16. Petrol companies have been abusing the pricing for years. BP in Vic this week: 2 nights ago: 1.36/L. Last night: 1.54/L That's just the cats piss fuel. 18c hike is nothing but a rort. So add 15c or so for 98 and it's just offensive, it's almost $10 a fken tank difference. Which over a year, by buying on 'normal' price days, I could save around $500-$1000 - That's when you know the petrol pricing is up the creek How prices swing buy such amounts which is totally disproporionate to the price of oil/supply at any given time astounds me. The ACCC already do sweet fk all about it even with all their "powers", as if they are going to be able to stop it with all the extra work this farce of a carbon tax is going to bring. And i say this irrespective of the extra "funding" the ACCC is "set" to recieve, you can bet your balls it won't be enough so it'll only get worse from here on in as it'll take years for everyone to get their heads around it by which time plenty will have taken full advantage and petrol companies will be one of those. So whilst petrol pricing wont be directly affected by one of the 19 bills, it will be indirectly IMO. So overall I'm worried in that they are far higher than they should be. I'm not worried about the "scene" though, that won't change. More and more people getting licenses each year, as the population grows etc. It's impossible that it will decline at this point. Petrol would need to be $5/L for that kinda impact to occur in todays age.
  17. So by natural, you mean less – correct? Because that’s what’s happening. Less boost = less torque. A lot of people that do the "wind down the boost" end up using full throttle everywhere and more RPM for the same cause. It’s a false economy really as more RPM more of the time is undue wear The best boost controller on the market that I found was the right foot. You want more boost you simply press the foot further into the floor. Works just the same for economy, you want better economy use less of the right foot. Regardless of if you run 5psi or 20psi the economy will be pretty much the same in off boost situations
  18. lol well don't leave your place till 9am or something then? SIF be homo and cruise alone though, that's something Clutch would do
  19. Please provide further information as required by the Group Buy standards: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/81129-thinking-of-organising-a-group-buy-read-this-or-your-thread-may-be-removed/ At least 2 key points are being missed. I cannot find any details anywhere about Carontec, China. Nor is ther RRP supplied. Thanks.
  20. 455rwhp you mean. Not sure if the R34 is Vspec is the same - but i know it's a problem on the R33 Vspec. What i mean by that is you cannot rebuild the A-LSD easily. I need a rear LSD for my R33 Vspec as the A-LSD is shagged/playing up, from what I've found out i need basically a R33 GTR NON-Vspec housing and then put the Nismo diff (1.5) centre into that as the shafts or something is a different size between the A-LSD and LSD versions. Not saying A-LSD is bad, it's taken a hiding in my car without a doubt. It's just a problem when it needs replacement. So if the R34 is the same as the R33, then this will be a problem SHOULD the A-LSD fail. Otherwise it might well be fine for 5 years
  21. Spaces will be pre-marked on the ground etc. I'm doing that with Anna a few days earlier so should be a pretty fast affair to line cars up You getting there @ 10am means you leave @ 6:45 from what you've said, so realistically thats no difference. Plus it'll probably be 10am by the time you guys get there anyway as there is always someone late/having car trouble
  22. If you are dead set, save the 25k. Buy a modded 33r for round 30k in a few months. There is always 3-4 at any given time from a good stable. All basically track ready. You'll easily save yourself 10k+. And all the time and bullshit that goes with it. It's exactly what I did for my current car rather than building another from scratch.
  23. 25k including purchase price – isn’t even going to get you out of the driveway if you intend to go circuit racing. IMO is that is your budget, you should be buying a R33 GTS-T and setting that up for track work… Why you might ask? Turbo swap inclusive will be around $3500 if you are lucky. If you go the HKS items (identical to Garrett) you’ll be paying $4000+ total. Then the usual supporting mods: ECU $1000 Tune $600 Exhaust $600 Clutch $1100 Oil Cooler kit $600-$1000 Labour $800-$1200 Full service upon purchase $500 (that’s all oils motor/diff, plugs, new filter perhaps) So far you’ve already minced $9000 if you are lucky, and you’ve not even drive the car yet. Then the other stuff you’ll probably need Coil Packs $600 Suspension $1200 Brakes $1000 Tyres $1200 Labour $1000 So maybe $5000 there, bringing you to around $14000. Add on another $3000 because shit never works out to plan when modifying cars Leaves you $8,000 for a purchase price. No idea how 113,000kms bothers you mate. That’s what, 7000kms a year – total b/s that is in most cases. So as I said earlier, buy a GTS-t and set that up for Track and do a LOT more reading of the forums. You aren’t going to get far with 25k and a GTR. Even buying a worked R32 GTR – Just the maintenance costs alone if you do half a dozen track days + street driving - you will blow your budget.
