  1. Thanks for the work done thus far Hambo! I look forward to helping until Feb as a care-taker style VP
  2. The age old - How long is a piece of string? There are 100s of places that could hi-flow a turbo, and to any specification. If it's a hi-flow, it is very possible it wont even have an ID tag - or that it's even correct. The only way to really know is the following: 1. Find out from previous owner who made it, and any reciept/info/specs 2. Pull the turbo off, measure both the front and rear wheels = 100% known specs. Unless you do this all you can do is wind boost into it, tune accordingly, see what happens.
  3. Wasn't me - tuner was adjusting it until we found a sweet spot! Dont think it was that though? I'll see if I can have a look tonight actually, i know it was set to 3400 so it wont be hard to find if i trawl the menus for long enough.
  4. Ok so see if m-itx have onboard RAID yet. If they do, you are set (cheap solution). It wont be fast. Otherwise buy a RAID card if you are worried about speed. Wanna know how to stop the dust? Put chicks stockings over the fans - and bolt them back in. Best filter you can get and cost nothing, and just wash em every 6 months. Works perfectly for me and my machines are on 24x7
  5. It's injector related. There is a RPM setting, ill find out what it was next week if someone doesnt post up sooner. I had the same issue with my car, was popping & backfiring, on occasion throwing massive flames too. Was also "jerky" with inj duty going from 0-4% like a wave. Adjusted a RPM setting (NFI what menu) to around 3400rpm (so it wouldnt do it below 120km/h in 5th) and never had a problem since. Can tap/rest on the throttle and its perfect. As the car is throwing in fuel, and then taking it out without any change in load. Hence the carrying on.
  6. Duty couldn't be too high with 600s, im running 700s and only seeing max of 65% @ 350-360rwkw. Has a minor rail pressure bump so move it to 70-75% 600cc @ 300rwkw, rough stab would be 55-65%?
  7. It was not deleted. There is a sticky in this section that CLEARLY explains what is going on. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/66949-cant-find-your-thread-it-got-moved/
  8. It's really not. We are trying to do a good thing for the community, users etc. Its more than just products as Christian is also wanting to move towards event coverage and what not as well as stated. We are sure there are people that would love to get involved with such an endeavour. Let SAU worry about the legal stuff, we are certainly no stranger to any of that and know what we are doing.
  9. Yeah rack really isn’t an option. My tower sits on carpet mate, and has for quite some time. I mean it has “legs” so its not sitting bottom surface etc. Can’t see why you cant do that. Also keeps cabling out the way. How many drives do you have? 4x 2TB or 8 x 1TB Running RAID cards? Or JBOD? If it’s just a JBOD server, a 4-bay m-itx option like this would be a good idea http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_547&products_id=16066 I’m not totally up with m-itx boards, so not sure if they have onboard RAID or you need a RAID card. If you do need a card/more drive space: (ive not totally checked space/specs tho) http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_547&products_id=18323 http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_547&products_id=14503
  10. Please read the FI Guide. There is a specific "spark plug" thread linked. Its long, has plenty of info - you can then make a good decision.
  11. Barbs you should be unable to change your name for being such a PIA!
  12. I get mine in less than 15mins after taking it But ye, overall quite good. Not sure if it's just the oil or the fact im coming off a pretty hefty illness but im certainly feeling quite good the past week since I've started taking it
  13. Must report in... Getting slight reflux issues with the Xtend life product, in certain situations. The only time I do is if I take one soon as I get outta bed. So not having eaten for 8-9hrs. Long as I have even a small amount of food, its totally fine. So quite impressive overall
  14. Agreed! Although if the invoice on it clearly states "journal bearing", then even without a ID plate we know they aint a ball bearing Garrett core. Do the housings look machined? Back in 2004 that might have been a 'ok' price, I can't remember exactly when Garrett items of various series came out. I know you couldn't get a "-9" (same as HKS GT-SS) until around 05/06 if memory serves me correct for instance. Either way now you can pick up such turbos for around $1200ea new. Journal bearing items, 2nd hand, maybe worth $800 for the pair. Not saying they aren't genuine, just that they are not a ball bearing core.
  15. Ye there really isn't much in it by the time you get legit Z32 AFMs. Heaps of copy AFMs around that are about $100ea cheaper. greenline.jp - cheapest place for Nismo items every time i dig around
  16. Nope. The Garrett link is a ball bearing unit, going by what you said - you have journal bearing items. Sounds like your turbo's just have had steel wheels and a rebuild kit put through the original cartridge or similar rather than the ball bearing Garrett replacement.
  17. That's the one Paul Without actually going and testing it, I doubt anyone would know. Not read anywhere about someone putting a Z32 into a stock housing, they just buy an adaptor kit to fit the AFM. Far easier and cheaper than chopping up 4 AFMs. There is only around a $150 price difference between 2x Nismo and 2x Z32. Factory in adaptor kit & pods to suit a Z32 and there isn't much in it at all over going Nismo ones.
  18. They are not identical. The resolution/calibration is slightly different due to the housing size. Think of putting a stock AFM element into a 100mm body - the AFM will give the same reading, but there is LOTS more air as it's calibration hasn't been altered to account for it. If they simply put a Z32 into a stock housing, it wouldn't work and would read markedly different - hence Nismo are a tad different as they've been calibrated however they are set. Someone a 3-4 years back did post a graph of the two against voltages, wasn't huge differences - but they were there. (sorry i can't recall whom it was).
  19. $700 and I'll cover postage in AUS. Want it gone!
