If you see drag racing why are you worried about corners? Use 4 or none IMO. I ran 4 Hoosiers, 1.5 60ft times FTW! Depending on the power you don't want the rear to grip and the fronts to spin and you'll be able to launch above 7000rpm easily on drag radials on the rear, which when power goes front, will just have them spin.

Track Battle Australian Time Attack Series

I told you two monkeys you'd regret not entering! The drifting carnage was awesome. Not many events with that level or carnage in Oz, made for really excellent viewing. It was funny, usually you see the drifters with arms and legs out, doors open and other tomfoolery... There was none of that shit this time -
It's a stroker with around 350awkw plus it has nutbags behind the wheel

Track Battle Australian Time Attack Series

I got the 4WD trophy for street class by default in the end LOL. The bluebird in my category killed a motor, and the few EVOs that were meant to be street all rocked up on semi comps on the actual day and were moved class -
Hi all. Recently a SAU User CRMIN-4 /silrb26 / TRBGMH – Or Jimmy Gabra as his real name – has been ripping members off over all sorts of goods over the past month or two. This user was also dumb enough to knock over a workshop here in Melb recently, and get caught… Obviously the more information & evidence, the more charges that potentially can be laid & more harsh the penalty. If you were ripped off then drop me a PM and I will give you the contact details for the Police Officer dealing with the case. Thanks.

Max At Wheel Hp With 2860-5 Garrett Turbs ?

Plenty of threads, plenty of results. Read the Dyno thread as well. Thanks. -
^ Ye I was holding nicely around that corner, the bump unsettled me a bit harder than you guys on semis who had the extra grip to turn in. I ended up having to stab the brakes a little just before the bump, so when i got to the other side it was settled and turned in sweet

I'll MMS ya tonight Bris, might have something.

You only get pistons as big as you need too. If you only need 86mm, get 86mm for instance. Don't just mince out to 87mm because It will depend on the block, how much needs to be taken out etc.

Moved here so people can reply - didnt realise the News section was locked

Ye no using the other bank, it is 110% unsafe to be used, hence we are down on the apron area, which isnt actually "that" bad. Just requires a sensible use of right pedal Good news RE: Venue improvements, very good

What people have issue with tends to be using 10-15yr old heads, lots of KM's on them, and they then of course are going to have issues. I had my RB25 head rebuilt with just stock stuff back when i had my RB25. Stock cams, values etc and it was between 270rwkw and 370rwkw depending on the fuel i had in @ the time. With a forged bottom end and a GT3040 it was spun to 8000rpm without an issue. I think it was upto 140 dyno runs I also did around 60-70 drag passes as well (some with 370rwkw/24psi) and it was spun to 8200rpm on those runs. So not quite extended RPM @ circuit, but it also saw 8000rpm on the street fairly often over 10,000kms. Guilt-Toy was also running a GT35 and 350-370rwkw for aaaages on a stock head and spinning to 7500rpm I think oversized values for your goal is a bit of an expensive trip for not much gain as at the end of the day the .63 housing is going to be the restriction in your setup, and your power goals aren't that high. Also you'll probably find due to the housing, that you simply don't need to rev past 7500rpm as power will have well and truly falled over anyway That said the comp ratio would be a good thing to pay attention too though and hasnt yet been mentioned. If you are only going to be running E85 you could bump it up a bit more than normal PULP builds, this seems to be what a fair few guys are now doing with great results.

Thanks for processing the Vid mate!

Christian (Prank) & myself have been talking for a while now about starting a 'Review' type area of the forum/website. One that will link to the front page as better content that will be picked up by Google etc. Basically review parts that you buy, take some video/photos & some quantifiable tests, then write up a review about it. Things like - did the product work as claimed, compare to other products, the quality of the product etc. In the end scoring the product out of 5 stars or something. The write up would be submitted/checked and then posted up. It could be any product as well. Things like brake kits, engine parts, tyres. Even car care products & audio. I’m already in the process of writing one for a Brake Kit, and another member is reviewing a car Battery Charger. The aim moving forward for this is that Companies/Manufacturers will approach us to review new products coming onto the market to help the community get a feel for it, and the world in general. If you are interested in joining the SAU Review Crew – Then please post up. We would like some technical people only at this stage that can do the testing in a little bit of depth and don’t mind spending the time. Maybe in the future it could be expended to attending events as Media for SAU and review those/write up about them. If you have any ideas/feedback that would be good Cheers Ash

Track Battle Australian Time Attack Series

Ye there were cones put there later on! On the first day hardly anyone was cutting, and then on the Sunday one started doing it, so everyone did it in the next session haha, then cones arrived! -
LOL Russ you nearly hit the same water barrier in the same way as I nearly did twice Awesome driving, its all about using the bank and braking late as possible. Top run.
-
I reckon they actually look good and suit it nicely hehe. Good thing as well given they both sponsor the car Looks a bit fked now though after hitting a tyre barried, front lip/bar not so good haha.

^ What he said - 100% free for spectators BOTH days. Simply coming along you could win Hot Laps in one of the super hi-po R35 GTRs - So definitely come along to the Track Day. You don't have to have a race/track car to be in the track day either. There are a lot of guys bringing their stock, daily driven cars to participate and have some fun, which is what this is all about You will need a properly affixed fire extinguisher A safe car (so full fluids, tyres in good nick) Marking tow points/battery points. A Helmet to protect your egg And lastly neck to toe clothing. If you enter the Track day, from the website, the regulations will pop up explaining it all in much more detail Or view a copy here first: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/377440-track-day-information/

I have no doubt they would I emailed off a fair bit of feedback that sits on both sides of the fence. End of the day they gotta look after the drivers just as much - without them you dont have an event. They all enjoyed themselves from the talk around the pits, as did the track guys. So they've got that spot on, now to work on other areas. I've organised many events over the years and often the first one of a regular thing can struggle even with the best planning as there is always stuff you just don't think of Ah no stress, i wasn't around my car a lot on Sunday, i was sitting in the Red Bus Racing camp as i was exhausted
-
Ye not saying you did, but it will generally end up like that which is the problem unfortunately
-
Of course they will remove it off their FB page. There is a right and a wrong way to go about it - I'm sure you can workout which that is No way would I get into a public slanging match on something like Facebook, that doesn't help anyone as everyone will always go wild. I actually spent a bit of time typing up a long document to the organisers myself with some comments & constructive input which was a collation of talking to Drivers, Patrons & Staff members over the two days, they were my own views & no doubt it will help to improve the event. A 1st event is never going to be near perfect, such things are not possible.

For the first 6 months just buy a cheap 5k car. You are going to drive everywhere, and the car will get driven into the ground. You'll end up nudging walls, barriers etc when parking and doing general misbehaviour that any young bloke would do. Better to do that and get it outta your system first and get a reasonable care 6-12 months into driving. Insurance is always a killer too. Getting 12 months out the way with a cheap car is a good idea
