  1. With -9s its well and truly all on by 4000rpm. You then have 4000rpm then to play with, in my case im using 4300rpm. This isn't a RB25 thread where the show ends at 7000rpm - this is a GTR/RB26 thread.
  2. They were all different cars mostly, the ones that went to smaller (-9/-7) from larger ones -5 was mainly from a rule situation given Targa ruling and other motorsport etc. I've had -9s, -5s. Currently have -5s and for the street IMO they are too laggy on a 2.6ltr. You really have to ring the neck and peg back gears where with the -9s in the hills you had power everywhere Whilst it only seems like a "few" hundred RPM on the graphs/dyno loaded in 4th - i can tell you on the street it is much more noticeable in 2nd/3rd and to anyone that asks i will always say -9s for a street GTR. -7s being a tad more responsive again (over -9) would be an excellent choice if response is your #1 goal.
  3. gts-t or GTR?
  4. So what does $150 actually get you? Are there maps, competition/trophies or is this just a simple open skidpan with basic cones? Reason i ask is it's almost double what the SAU-Vic days cost (DECA is cheap to hire afterall) and we use the entire facility including backtrack etc.
  5. Ye it 100% depends on the day, how its running etc. Say there is a big oil down etc, then obviously that will get canned in the name of giving everyone decent track time
  6. -7s are basically the R34 N1 equivalent. The -9 are a little bigger. So yes the -7s will be responsive, about as responsive as you can get really. I did a comparo a while back you should have a bit of a read over etc. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/350440-dyno-comparo-various-twins-rb26/
  7. It'll be easier if you do it now? Pricing will change as the early access is cheaper for the Merch. You can put though a secondary entry, that isn't a problem
  8. Hmmm sounds like you just have high performance street tyres on there ATM, not a semi? As for the Bridgestone - It largely depends on the actual tyre you are going to put on there and it could be 255 or 265. What tyre are you actually looking at?
  9. The track will be swept before the day, so there won't be that issue
  10. Falken Semi slicks? What sort? What brand is the 280? I wasn't aware there is a 280 on the market. Either 275 or 285 - A 285 on a 9" rim, not going to go well.
  11. lol i missed that... You'd need to confirm attendance first ya know
  12. Clutch still here. Will let it go for $1050 no less. R33 GTR Alloy Bonnet, super light, hard to come by - $500 R33 GTR Drivers side guard & guard riser - $200 ORC Twin Plate Clutch R32/R33 GTR - As new. Plates are barely worn as per pics - $1050 $800+ saving for a next to new clutch that, bargin.
  13. This S'n'S entry made me laugh.. Matthew Tonkin Nissan Patrol 1996 Might have to get my rust filled Safari up lol!
  14. Updated confirmed list
  15. Listen to them where though? I've found that listening in-store (this is going back 10yrs now) wasnt the best way either because of the installation into the walls varies between brands and often specific brands design it so they sound better "instore" so to speak as the area you are in is much larger etc. End of the day I ain't no audio nut This is more to improve what is basically the worst set-up known to man. So anything i guess could be better! Will def look @ sound deadening the doors though, 1KG here/there isn't really an issue.
  16. Guys please forget about installation costs - there aren't any. Installation wont cost me a cent, regardless of how long it takes I just put JB up as a source because I can easily get cost price there. I could potentially source from other places as well need be, I'd have to find out etc. I'll get down next week and checkout some decks and see which ones are user friendly and report back! Def want rear speakers. It'll sound weird not having sound coming from the rear.
  17. A Temp New section created to make it easier for everyone rather than this epic long thread now http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forum/250-sau-nationals-28th-30th-oct-11/
  18. No better example of this than ole mate Marko really. About time you did, everyone will benefit. I mean you supposedly asked for a tune without a midrange... And are firmly on the big cam bandwagon this month: Yet only 2 months ago you come out with this? Says it all really.
  19. Trackday listing is up: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forum/252-entry-listings/ S'n'S tomorrow, but nobody misses out there basically given there are plenty of spots

  21. You really should just put the shovel down sometimes dude.
  22. The XR6 turbo issue was a Ford problem, not a turbo problem. It was only on a few models (forget which), and it was to do with a restriction with oil feed/filter or something in that department that over time caused damage/failure.
