  1. what car/motor etc? Once you add things in like custom rails & a reg, sometimes its cheaper/easier just to get proper replacement injectors.
  2. looks stock. unless they redid the actual chip itself without relabel - which is out of character. Although one of the chips does have a bit missing on the edge. Mmight have been played with. if you dont have a limiter, could have just had the speed wire cut to the ECU Either way nothing to be excited about, a decent ECU would be required regardless.
  3. Ye the 7-blade one is not the one you want. Bad and nasty performance for what should be the same price for a proper 6-blade. I actually thought they'd stopped making them in that option given the choices of 3076s out now with various trims etc.
  4. ^ exactly. rubbish. your mechanic is a dead set idiot. You can get an engineers no problem, then insurance. Plenty have done it over the years. Door handles will be a problem though, that wont pass engineers i would imagine
  5. Nice Graeme! Funny thing is 'hoons' are tarnished with such a nasty swipe, yet people like this are just as common yet get away with it time and time again. Really shows the Gov't focus is not on actual policing it correctly at all when the Justice system fails as badly as it is.
  6. Only diff is age
  7. I wasn't impressed when i went there. Either way use the search, covered many times.
  8. Yes. Think about stock manifold RB26's @ 400rwkw they are fine as well. Stock items are good, long as you don't screw with them (weld gates, poor exhaust support etc)
  9. Stock ones generally are perfectly fine. Rare to see one crack as plenty have been running 250-300rwkw for years without issues. If they do crack its because someone hacked up to weld a gate on, or had the full exhaust weight hanging.
  10. Ask and ye shall receive
  11. Any manifold you pay less than $1000-$1400 for, you are going to run the risk of it cracking. The quality simply is not there yet from the China stuff when you subject it to extreme heat, weight etc. They just crack. Even the RB26 Tomei manifolds crack and you pay $1000 for those! You really need to spend to get quality in the manifold area. 6boost are a SAU Trader, i'd be dropping them a PM if i were you
  12. They aren't if they are dying/corrupting. And this is the major issue I have and the reason I've not upgraded. Reading some reviews that actually do some proper testing and investigations, most of the feedback does not instill me with a great deal of confidence. No doubt they are faster etc, well aware of that - but losing data is a PIA, rebuilding the machine, intermittent issues... None of this I've ever had with HDD's, and I've got 10 running 24x7 and have for years.
  13. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/373729-track-battle-calder-park-thunderdome/ read the first post, you can do Sun only if you are doing Sandown
  14. Raptors have been going cheap as fk lately, given people are clearing them out Very affordable next to a SSD IMO. RAID0 them and you are laughing. I'm still not convined of SSD's very on a $ vs performance scale. Even with GEN3 drives outs now. I keep reading there are a lot of underlying issues, corruption etc etc. I really CBFd with it until its fixed.
  15. I'm in Melb Not worried about hurting the Aus economy. The Gov't have done a better job that I could ever with the taxing (don't get me started ). Installation is not a problem. If $900 makes it easier then go with that? A mate that works @ JB, cost price is possible there. So it's purely parts/items cost only, which are a PIA as i have no idea what works well & what does not. Specs, brands etc etc. Just don't want to go in without having information. I don't plan to ever upgrade, the car is built to be tracked after all and it's just for some reasonable sounding tunes driving to/from events AND USB so i can just dump off my PC so i don't need to worry about CD's. Ill start having a look around in stores next few weeks @ Decks that I actually like to use and start there.
  16. You do slightly lean forward a bit, but not really from the lower back at all, that remains stationary as there is no major strength to benefit from. Have a look @ some youtube videos, im sure there are some guides as there is for everything else lol
  17. Was it blowing fuel clounds before? As in ... has it always done it (cloud) but you've never taken notice of it? Are you only noticing these things "as a result" of a bit of paranoia surrounding the low fuel perhaps? If its a "new" thing, could be a fuel reg is failing, not uncommon and easy to check with a pressure gauge.
  18. ID's are just an injector - made by Bosch, so why not just buy Bosch ones People use the 1000, 2000 etc. I cannot see the 725 being show stoppingly different mate. It's just all the custom that goes with for a 25 is the sticking point of it all. I reckon Nismo's would work out easier and almost close to the same price? Used sets come up in the FS area all the time too, just get them flow tested before installing and off you go!
  19. What do you reckon the weight will be? I remember putting my GTS-R on a bridge years ago and it was 1400-1410 without me in it. Would be one hefty beast with a 4WD running gear in it and the aero of a brick
  20. Rolls what kinda drugs do you take man, i need some Rememember a supercharger = infront of the heat, not behind it. That is going to be the typical enemy. All a supercharger does is pressurise the intake, same as a turbo. Its just doing it mechanically rather than turbine based. Superchargers given mechanically driven = off the motor. How do you intend to get the belts behind the exhaust manifold area?
  21. I used to row, in row boats - And you certainly don't reach right forward haha. When i do them i do go forward, but not a full extended type stretch, you can often strain weaker muscles if you go too far with too much weight to drag back. Just one exercise to be careful of IMO.
  22. Mmm depends on the savings. And what 2nd hand audio gear is like. I have no idea lol. But given the Aussie Dollar i'd imagine $700 will go reasonably well buying from the US - I just have no idea what is decent and what is rubbish. Even if i have to spend 800-900 that doesn't worry me overtly if it means the extra 100-200 is really making a difference. I plan to have a much quieter exhaust in the near future anyway so it wont be too bad
  23. Yep! Sure will - but not this thread, something special just for the SAU Nats is coming to the Forums You'll see what I mean when it happens later in the week, just need time to sit down and do it (hopefully tomorrow night). Although a lot of people put "Nissan" into the box LOL... Most of it was Vic people, so lucky i know what car they have anyway.
  24. More prizes!!! $500 also from MOTHERS Car Care products Better put that towards a S'n'S award, or someone that tickles a tyre barrier @ Winton perhaps - bit of buffing might be required
