  1. Sounds similar to the car Steve speaking about. Not sure which i prefer, hard to get the exact from video but having seen the other car in person it was certainly the winner. Best I've heard in 10 years! Stock 25 head, 3ltr, 6boost manifold with a gtx35. Not sure of the gate/exhaust combo etc. Sound is as much to do with the manifold, exhaust, gate size, angle/length of screamer as it is RPM anyway. You could rev to 9000rpm and it could sound shithouse.
  2. Debate & discussion is healthy. So ye I think it should be open, and then obviously follow the board rules etc. The product supplier could even say a few words as SAU Traders could submit new products/kits to the SAU Review Crew to gauge interest and so on and get feedback.
  3. Random users couldn't just submit a review We are looking for people that obviously have a bit of history with SAU, like to tinker/review products and have some reasonable(to expert) technical knowledge or are getting workshops to fit them up. Could be things like: Intercooler comparo - back to back results same dyno/day Brake kit review - Does the kit bolt up, measureable improvements in braking force Exhaust review - Ease of fitment, measure the noise level exterior/interior, take some audio Car body products - Like say "XXXXX" wax. Apply it and see how long it lasts. Is it easy to apply, does it last as long as the label says Accessories - battery chargers for instance, similar to the above in that does it work/easy to use etc. All reviews will be "reviewed" by the group before going public anyway. Idea would be it would be in a private area before being put onto the frontpage. There would be a set of minimum requirements to follow - that would be for the group to determine once this gets off the ground and of course will be fine tuned as time goes on and more feedback comes. There will always be conjecture on results. Look at any product review site from PC parts to Musical instruments. Such debate is always going to occur. The idea is just to give people an idea in a simple/easy categorised resource.
  4. Not getting much feedback in Gen Auto - so moving to FI as there is much more "tech" people that might not check outside FI etc. Shoot ideas though, post up comments and so on. We'd like to get this off the ground soon as we can
  5. ye ill do mine when i get home tonight for you
  6. We already have the "donator" group, which basically gives you all of that. However - Donations are currently disabled and have been for a while as it was not a simple thing to sort out. Christian might bring it back in 2012... Lots of cool stuff comming for SAUs 10th Year
  7. You can set it up to recieve an email each time it sends you a PM one. That's what i do incase im on the forum at the same time. Works perfectly. You can also "bulk delete" converstations if you like to get heaps of notifications.
  8. Ye there is some serious investment that needs to go into the head. Just a set of springs really isn't going to cut it for extended 9000rpm+ Well 290 degree cams give you 1000rpm response over any other choice according to some around here, so they should be the first items purchased!
  9. I've had a play around with my notification settings - working 100%. I'm getting all the subcriptions I've asked for via email and PM. I'll take a screen shot when i get a chance for others to use if they choose.
  10. The ORC twin was heaps nicer than the OS Racing twin i have in my HR31. Not as good as the high end Nismo Coppermix Twin ($2500), but then ORC is $1500 cheaper
  11. Read the forum rules before you bump again, or use anymore ebay links. Excessive bumping, you will have your thread locked. Once every 3-4 days is fine. Every 2 hours is not.
  12. Definitely no need to change cooler for -9s I'll hopefully have some back to back with a GReedy core late this year to help remove the doubt and show the GTR core is great for under 380-400rwkw.
  13. Not really a spanner. It's already been established, the -7 setup was 100rwkw down @ 4500rpm compared to every other -7 set-up. That ain't no dyno variance http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/379561-gtr-r33-v-spec-build/ So whilst a direct 'comparison', it's totally wrong to compare a working set-up with one that has major issues. Very misleading info, although it wasn't intended that way of course.
  14. I can think of 4 cars that have gone 430rwkw on stock rods, this was 2 years ago as well, have not heard of the motors failing.

    Hi Ash

    Your problem
  16. It is very simple. Posting details about a car, where you saw it - fine. Posting details about the owner, where they potentially work, what they look like, rego plates, exact locations etc etc - plain wrong. If i have to come in here and clean the thread again, whoever has posted off topic shit will get a 14 day ban. Club member or no Club member - you are bound by Forum Rules in the public sections. Do not push this issue any further, you've all had enough warnings. End of discussion.
  17. I always use 98 when posting stuff, as do most, kinda a given. Usually people post/make note of E85 when used. -5 and GT35 would be much closer/interesting I agree. Pity you -7 setup was down nearly 100kw at 4500 tho, would've really been crappy to drive!
  18. Those two things go hand in hand!
  19. If im reading your comparo graph right... Your -7s were only making 220rwhp (165rwkw) @ 4500rpm ? If this is correct, then you had an serious setup issue. Possibly boost control. You should have had a result around 350rwhp (260rwkw) @ 4500rpm. Quite a whopping difference to say the least. A correct/working result would actually the -7s more responsive than the single. Given a GT35 is larger than a set of -7s, that makes reasonable sense in the broad world of comparison with this type of thing. So not really a fair of debate single vs twins if you are comparing a working set-up with one that isn't working
  20. Build a decat and find out i say.
  21. If its not stated in the rules, fair game I'd say for modified class
  22. Next thread, and anyone that posts in it. Instant holiday. ENOUGH. That goes for anywhere else on the forum.

    The Wasteland

No more wasteland for you guys tonight. I don't have time to cleanse the disgrace I saw. Take the time out to go read the board rules.
