  1. Hi all. Please see here for the full details: http://www.fordxr5turbo.com/forum/index.php?topic=10253.msg293968#msg293968 Basically we have a dodgy motherfker trolling the WTB section of the forums. As each day passes more and more people are seeming to fall into this guys plight. He calls you up from WTB posts, and hence does not currently have an account here. That of course, has not stopped me tracking him down PLEASE BE CAREFUL ABOUT BLIND EFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Ash
  2. No point going external gate on the factory manifold, its mutually exclusive. Might as well stick with internal gate and a simple bolt on affair. Internal gate limits are inline with stock manifold limits pretty much. If you change one, you generally will be changing the other as it's then over 300rwkw
  3. So you are a business selling goods. Easily fixed. If you wish to sell parts on this forum, you must become a paying trader just like every other business. Please refer to this thread for further information: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/ Thanks.
  4. lol yes plenty in the 4th. i ran 24psi, 370rwkw, factory reg. current car has 20psi, 350rwkw, factory also. i know many other cars in the 20-25 range all perfectly fine. fuel regs fall into the same category as BOV's, turbo timers and my fav... AFR gauges that run off the factory O2 sensor... pointless!
  5. nothing wrong as long as its done ny someone who knows how as it must be placed at a certain point. do you have a stock manifold? anything bigger than a GTX3071, and you'll need an aftermarket one anyway.
  6. Ok all good, back among the land of "i have time" I'll go through the list Sunday and workout who said what, and we can go from there WATCH THIS SPACE
  7. Which VASS was it that said they would approve a 5.7ltr V8 into a 1300kg R31?
  8. How about you use some poise and think bout your language. Abuse will get you nowhere. 1. Flood control exists to stop spam bots. 2. The search works fine. I use it almost daily, i rarely do not find what i want. If you give specific examples we can help, otherwise its a bit hard
  9. I also had a look @ your For Sale thread last night as i was reading the forum... Honestly, your cars setup now, won't even handle 400rwkw on the circuit. You brakes will run out after a lap or two, you'll certainly have cooling issues and without a wing IMO it'll be all over the place if there is any higher speed cornering and so on. Suspension might be ok, but you'll need adjustable arms and all sorts of stuff to help it along. It just sounds to me like you have a big motor and little else to support it
  10. Over 400-450rwkw (550-600rwhp) would be the region given you can pretty much get 380-400rwkw now on PULP with a big motor I highly doubt you'll get bored when over a 2-3 year period you see seconds upon seconds drop off your lap time. As that's where you'll find the fun... And i hate to say it, spend more money Learning to actually drive a high powered car etc. If all you have is a built motor and not much else then you'll have more problems to worry about then getting bored. Suspension/braking/cooling/tyres/gearbox and overall reliability will be more of a worry than how much power you'll be making. Heat is a MAJOR issue and you could spend half a year getting it right. If you get bored you can always upgrade the turbo later once you've had a few seasons of roundy roundy. With that power you'll also be well into the 10's to boot so it'll be good overall that's for sure.
  11. Price or lock. Forum rules are clear
  12. Please read the dyno sticky thread. There are plenty of results with the stock turbo in there to read. There are also a lot of other results with 30-40 different turbos covered. Thanks.
  13. lol I actually haven't - I've been told by 100's of people i should I have enough series to watch ATM that i can barely keep up with :S
  14. It's like two seasons old now?
  15. Orders? sounds like a business, or a backyard one. locked. if you wish to sell goods here, you are required to pay like everyone else.
  16. DO NOT start a new thread each day for the same items. also take note, do not excessively bump threads (ie, daily). all 3, locked.
  17. yeah, different organisers too. although Fri you do tend to see a few more altercations the times I've been there. but that's what you get with drunk asshats in suits on a friday afterwork style.
  18. honestly 600rwkw and circuit, you have gotta be kidding! think of the heat, braking, oil/water temps. id be doubtful there is many, if any such GTR's around. the closest i can think of was the street driven Racepace GTR which on full race fuel ran around with about 450-500, i remember seeing it had actually twisted the turbine housing. Now think about the heat over years... The other car that comes to mind is the Russ/High Octane which is an outright race car, still isn't 600 @ the rubber because i dare say its pointless outright power is nothing compared to a well sorted and reliance brake/suspension/aerotrack car. I agree the GTX35 sure does look like one the choice.
  19. I've been going to CQ sat for as long as the night has been there (after it moved from Blue under crown, before that Billboard and before that Spy Lounge before that 2000-2001) VERY rarely is there a fight with the crowd, and that's over a 10yr period. when you think about other places that ha e glassings, knife issues etc, that's a pretty good track record for a venue/night of that size.
  20. yeah no way a t04Z is gonna make 600rwkw even with E85. at best maybe around the 650rwhp(480rwkw).
  21. Wont change R&R
  22. Give it time mate, could be weeks given the time of year. Im playing around with a different skin - im 50/50 on it at the moment and there are a few minor issues that ive noticed. So it could be a while as we want to find the "right" ones to offer
  23. Ye but by the same token it sounds like the GT35 doesnt NEED to hold 45psi as the wheels flow what's required at 10-20psi less. IMO holding a peak boost number is utterly irrelevant. If anything its showing more and more that unless you have a built motor, are prepared to run 25psi+, then forget these turbos. But as i said, still wanna see more results. Do you have any?
  24. They never did. It's not a bug. Go to where the redirect it, details are there.
  25. Indeed Samir Godzilla: Today, 12:07 AM Closed.
