  1. XR6 turbos are a waste of time on a mild motor - least of all one without the 10k in supporting mods required. And by the time you have all the supporting stuff in place there are better turbo combinations to get anyway! If you know its going to be epically laggy, how then does it mean the time/effort is worthwhile? Some people's logic makes me wonder sometimes
  2. Why don't you just BUY the plugs @ 0.8mm? They come like that outta the box. No need to risk damaging the electrode. As for the rest - OP - read the damn spark plug thread. You have the wrong plugs.
  3. Could be many things - take it as stated for an inspection @ either a suspension place or a decent workshop mate. Some stuff is impossible to diagnose over the net
  4. Whatever fags - either way you cant use a "-" in the search. Hence it spat out an error. EG: F-CON - wont work F CON - will work.
  5. I would tend to agree - it's not deleted. Just been made invisible. Although i must admit the thread did push the limits when you think about what was being discussed in the latter pages. Well, more-so "how" it was being discussed. No doubt Dan will know more - and whatever was decided i stand by that
  6. GTS-t and GTR are not the same. You have extra weight, totally different characteristics with regards to over/understeer and so on. You are basically discounting advice from people who've been doing this stuff for many years... and running some very respectable times. And no point "trying" different spring rates initially as you'll spend more time learning about the car, how to drive it fast and so on. I'd only be toying with suspension in detail after at LEAST one full year of track days.
  7. Awesome I've never heard of such comparo's being done. Will be interesting indeed!
  8. Umm... no. Because you have to drive soooo sedately, yes they are THAT restrictive when closed, that you'll end up having it open all the time
  9. Garrett bolt on replacemt turbos (2860's), new tech stuff Was wondering how they compared response wise. Obviously they would be better given 15 years of dev. But just how much, and more importantly how do the torque curves differ Even get the two cars onto the dyno same day just to see it all. Would be an interesting comparison IMO, results could surprise everyone
  10. Let me know when that is - I'll be in for that, although it's not a cheap night (for the tightasses out there) Easly burn $70-80 if you like eating top food
  11. You will struggle to come close to 600rwhp (440rwkw) on PULP with a GT35. 550rwhp is probably the upper limit there. If you want a jap pump, a nismo or similar will be fine. Otherwise a big bosch will also do. Forget wasting time with walbro fuel pumps.
  12. The HKS ECU is massively limiting - simply because of the tuners able to tune it. I think there is only one in WA? There are not many in the country at all end of the day, so it heavily restricts you. IMO it is the worst choice possible based on this. For around what, $1000, the PowerFC is tough to beat in the cost/gain market.
  13. ^ yep - they are adjustable - therefore illegal.
  14. Yep - they do fail, and just as much of a pain to replace so good thing to do if the motor is out. Also get the paint tidy'd up as well Fair enough if you got a good price I kept getting pin hole leaks which then results in coolant being sprayed all over the place. From what i could tell the hoses are a bit thinner, and there isn't a lot of the webbing inbetween the silicone layers when you slice it open. So obviously lacking support and durability/quality. 3rd time it happened it was the straw for me so went with OEM hose that was modded to suit.
  15. Why not just get two mufflers installed to start? Then you'd also have a EPA test (which you paid for) confirming your car was then 100% legal. Giving you then every right to contest the next EPA notice in court
  16. True that - NFI what i was thinking this morning 1/5/3/6/2/4 - RB26 firing order, so would work out ok.
  17. If you only want 280rwkw then you don't need to change dumps, sump mods. Also be careful when changing the plenum gasket. I do believe there is a "trick" to get it to seal correctly. Do not clean the butterflies etc either. Also the silicone heater stuff I've found to be crap. I've had to replace 3 hoses in 1.5years and I've done less than 10,000kms. It's one of your typical EBAY special's. It's been replaced this time though with Nissan OEM hose
  18. Just ensure the mufflers are straight through, if they have kinks it will impead flow. But any decent exhaust place will know this if you stress it to them (never hurts to check for yourself of course)
  19. Of course it works fine I dont believe half the stuff i hear about things "not working", i guess 10yrs in IT Support/Operations has jaded me a tad though I use opera from my HTC to surf/post on SAU from time to time and works fine. Don't iPhones also run opera?
  20. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ch...ni-t327553.html 6 page topic on this. Please ensure you use the search function.
  21. Take it to a workshop listed in the workshop sticky thread in this section. Could be 100 different things as your description is majorly lacking in detail
  22. As lot more than $1500 that's for sure But it comes down to mufflers and labour costs. If any exhaust shop doesnt know what you are talking about then go somewhere else. As honestly if they cant workout the biggest two mufflers and some welding, they shouldnt be in business. If you are including a 4"-4.5" CAT as well then it wont leave you much room to move in $1500 IMO. It'll perhaps go a bit over. Depends on the muffler cost really, and 4"+ CAT's aint cheap either depsite what EBAY might tell you
  23. Selling my HD 4890 as per below. Runs all my games on max setttings very well @ 1900x1200 resolution. It was the best value card for the money at the time, and is still a top performer The card performs as good (or better) than the current HD5830 which is also priced @ $250. Just have a look @ some reviews of 5830's Contact via PM.
  24. Change it to 3.5" and get two nice big mufflers problem solved. As to wether than fits the budget is another question
  25. More like in the interests of promoting your crappy advertising campain you created for VicRoads IDC what other countries do - We need road conditions improved. son of rajab knows the pricks rake in enough money with speed camera's to be able to afford it. And now everyone has to go buy new melways or GPS's (if they are not updatable) Another waste of taxpayers money.
