Why don't you do a LS1 mate? Cheaper and you can buy an over the counter kit from the US for a full installation. I know someone who did it and it was flawless and you can DIY it basically as it's a full installation kit. By the time you sell all your bits + the 7k you already have - you'd EASILY have thick wad of spare change. Lighter motor, will make 260-280rwkw with a big cam and the stock ECU can be tuned easily... Can't argue the viability in the value factor and it's a fairly rare conversion still

3ltr Shaun, just slap your head on a stock-rebuilt bottom end. Get away with it for a couple grand tops IMO. I know someone else who did a 3ltr into a Stagea, owner loves it. Made a ridiculously huge difference as it's used for towing as well

Yep - 2 hours is the limit. Any edits due to inaccuracy/spelling we found generally occurs inside that time. Outside that time dodgy traders were using it as a method of ripping people off. Soon as we made the change, literally overnight, the level of bad trader complaints dropped by 80% and now it's @ the point where I get 1-2 a month rather than 1-2 a week which for the community, is a good thing even if it's a bit painful.

I remember when doing the Mt Baw Baw sprint in Feb (ambient no greater than 14c), there was EVO X there. Stock, small km's on it & just semi comps on & it didn't last longer than 6mins in the tight hills before the transmission overheated and the car shut itself down and went into limp mode to protect itself. Just something to be mindful of as it would appear they do not like a solid amount of work at all if you like to go for a bit of a drive on a weekend, you'll need to attend to the transmission cooling even in a stocker format. Have a google, you'll soon see that it's almost one of the first mods a lot of people do
