  1. ended up taking two brilliant minds to get that fuel basket opened my head's still spinning from the fumes....... and i was just watching B working away in the back seat
  2. ill be there tonight...... watching
  3. 09 upgrade includes new calipers 10 upgrade does not i did a similar upgrade on my m3 when i was due for new front discs. i went with the larger csl front discs and they came with a different bracket bw the upright and caliper - caliper and pad are identical i doubt the change in r35 caliper is a mounting issue. id assume its some internal change they made to the caliper itself, and in "upgrading" nissan figure you're better off with the newer improved caliper - remember there is a visual difference bw the 09 and 10 caliper in the lettering on the face
  4. 25k is over exaggerated oem pricing for a limited production model's turbos - just like how nissan charge 15k for their sports ti exhaust you can obtain the same, if not better, parts from aftermarket at significantly less
  5. spot on i always modify my cars and the car i choose for my daily needs to facilitate this learnt my lesson with my last daily that euro cars don't like being messed with and oem parts fail quickly
  6. if you read step 13 of this diy it says most aftermarket injectors dont use the slide clips http://www.speedforsale.com/staff/files/FuelInjectorsGTR.pdf

    Need Help

i think ive heard of that shop - was mentioned to me at a Z club meet depending on what you need done, its no different to any other car in terms of installing bolt ons - as for tuning, you can buy the cobb and have someone like willall email you already proven and tested maps as a starting point (and often its all you need)
  8. much easier to buy catless downpipes
  9. i believe paul ellis was single handidly the man responsible for over hyping all the US gearbox failures in 2008 and the high servicing costs on the interwebs....
  10. hahaha hissy fit fail here's my comment to paul ellis 997 GT2 distance travelled since GTR purchase - 52kms i really like the driving experience of the cayman. I was shopping a cayman s when i bought my M3 but this was before they up'd the power and offered the optional LSD. I loved the wrap around snug cockpit (which is what i loved most about my 350Z) and the mechanical noise of the engine and box behind me, but ultimately it lacked outright power porsche tried to ditch the 911 in the 928 and 944 and the enthusiasts said no. they even tried to modernise the cockpit/dash layout in the 996 and the enthusiasts said no.
  11. im really happy with the cobb and the current willall tunes - i definitely dont want someone else tuning my car now that's it all sorted 100% if cobb are working on a proper flex fuel system than i'll just wait for that
  12. i dont think its the nissan oem s/w that allows this, but rather the software that the cobb flashes onto the ecu look past the showy eyebrow work....
  13. the ecu can hold up to 9 maps
  14. yep exactly that i find myself using solely caltext e85 now - with the lack of carbon build up, smoother running and extra power, i cant go back to 98ron i have bought 2 20L drums of e100 from racefuels so the plan is to top up a few L's of e100 if the local caltex brew dips in the low 70s or below also having the flex sensor all setup does allow me to run flex fuel maps in the future - im sure cobb are already working on this as ecutek have been
  15. i was looking at that pic wondering where the hose went i grabbed this pic from an injector diy so makes sense we was draining excess fuel

  20. Hi guys Planning to install my GM flex fuel sensor + zeitronix ethanol content display and need to tap into the return fuel lines under the bonnet Does anyone have a pic showing exactly where this is, and if i need any kind of special tool to remove the oem harness/plug? I'll be doing this with the help of my local mechanic on sat - im assuming ill need extra hose length too, can anyone recommend a particular brand that will hold up under the pressure, i dont want any leaks edit - is this it?
  21. hahaha what do you expect with toyo triple 8s, they are more of a cut street slick than the bridgestones - grooves create wet road grip afaik even with VDC off it still brakes the wheels to a slight degree the R35 is in no way setup for DECA style events - it's too wide, too heavy, too powerful even did anyone take any vids of your runs? post em up boiiii
  22. This sounds like one of those brain teasers So turboadam are you saying a single point on a larger circle wil still take the same time to travel a full rotation than a smaller circle? Common sense would assume the larger circle takes longer to rotate
  23. my brochure for my 2010 says $4990 for the brake upgrade and $13xxx for the brakes + suspension nissan must have changed the calipers 2009 to 2010 the extra 10mm on the 2011 discs comes from wider hats and then a different bracket bw the caliper and upright to push the caliper out 5mm, otherwise us 2010 owners wouldnt be able to re-use our existing calipers + pads in this kit so the extra braking performance 2010 vs 2011 isnt really from increased surface area of the disc as one would initially think, but rather from the increased cooling effect by taking a longer cycle for the disc to travel one full rotation under the pad when im due for front discs, ill just order the new caliper bracket and larger discs as 2011 spare part like i did upgrading my M3 brakes to the larger CSL discs
  24. wont happen in Aus mate lucky to get a low 11
  25. bargain ill take 5
