  1. im going to try beat your time.......on gt5
  2. not like you can compare different dynos but my stock e46 m3 pulled 220 and my stock 350Z Anniversary on the same dyno a couple years earlier pulled 198 so id say that dyno for the v8 m3 is reading a bit low
  3. m3 is underpowered having come from an E46 M3 as a daily prior (and still have it), the bigger issue is how underwhelming the driving experience is on the day to day grind.......feels no different to a bargain basement 3 series when you're not revving it out to 7 grand
  4. Thanks for the feedback guys Gohan no the Cobb can't adapt on the fly just yet But I can monitor the ethanol percentage with my Zeitronix + gm fuel sensor... and I'm already hard wired for when/if Cobb release flex mapping I do have those drums of e100 just in case I get a bad batch of e85 I've been running the caltex e85 with no issues at all, a testament to the safety margin Martin built into my map The latest map Martin sent me feels like the boost comes on harder at lower revs, and Im getting all 4 wheels spinning through the midrange in 3rd now lol The easy datalogging with the Cobb has proved invaluable in continually tweaking my tune. I email the file to Martin and he emails me back a revised map. 5 mins later it's uploaded on the ecu Re LSP, its opti-coat + prima amigo + naviwax dark - I'm a hobbiest detailer and among the 30 odd waxes I have (collect) naviwax is my numero uno pick at any price point
  5. probably this guy who wouldn't get out of my way
  6. and an update on my fuel consumption DD'ing with E85 inner city roads and ritual weekend country fang..... ummmm
  7. now that my mechanicals are sorted, i spent some time detailing my car pretty much done now... just waiting on some dry carbon mirrors willall dyno
  8. if you're going to buy an R34 to keep as a collectable, there's only one........Z Tune

  16. well there's been alot said on the forum about the various LC versions of 2009 vs 2010 all i confirm is, my car is april 2010 build and i can use LC with everything in R mode (dont need to turn VDC off). Revs rise to about 3000-3200rpm and is very smooth off the line, no axle tramp at all, even now with ~30%+ more power than stock through the wheels
  17. you should start with a 2010 as it came with the newer digital mfd, mp3, auto headlights, etc nissan short changed 2009 owners with the analogue lower res mfd screen
  18. tbh man i cant remember exact figures - but i know i wasn't happy with the costs vs no issue with the gtr my m3 just like my gtr was modified, and oem parts were failing all the time, replacing oem top mounts every 6 months with my bilstein pss9 coilovers, sway end links about the same with my H&R sways, went through a couple mafs with my gruppe-m intake, etc on top of the servicing costs and i only street drive now ive put the stock suspension and wheels back on - and conceeded euro cars dont like to be mod'd
  19. i dont think its crazy at all was paying similar/if not more to maintain my daily driven M3, and didnt get a loan car from the dealer nor a smiley face when a 20 yr old rocked up to the service bay
  20. ROFL @ 10k per year i haven't even spent half that in 1.5yrs and have been bringing forward all my scheduled servicing by about 5K kms (currently 20,000kms daily driven and no track work) i dont stress over insurance, reg or depreciation as any car at this price bracket will cost about the same off the showroom floor lct + gst + sd are lost as soon as you drive off the showroom floor as the dealer buys minus those charges with an lmct the key is obviously minimising track work, as tyre and fluid costs would be the killer just like any tracked car really as for breakdown; first service was free, second service at 10k was around 1000, 20k service was around 1600 iirc......30k is over 2k, then the cycle repeats again
  21. depreciation is not linear
