  1. the 'Swine' are getting desparate; the swift is a natty little car but hardly, I reckon, suitable for rough and tumble Police work, perhaps it is only used for administrative chores, ie fetching pies and cakes for 'mornos'!!.
  2. love the white R32 GTR's; any pics in the 'photos of R32' topic yet?.
  3. aint that the truth; I reckon GTR is an acronym for... Get Thou$and$ Ready!!.
  4. all my car needs for Xmas is it's 'two front teeth'; Bembros..!!
  5. sad to see the car banged up but now you can put plan 'B' into action. cool attitude/temperament, plenty of owners would be looking for a very tall building to jump off!!.

    Police Blitz

sounds like the 'boys in blue' are gearing up for Xmas. they used the same tatic on the M1 on Tue this week. also saw my first ute being used as an unmarked traffic law enforcer on Wed, near Coomera. description: white, holden, '07-'08?, after market wheels and slightly lowered from what I could see. clearly a "sucker car" hoping to activate the adrenal glands of would-be racers!!!.
  7. the last time the AU$ tanked [around '99-'00]it fell to less than .50. it took until July '08 to recover to it's high of .97 ish. so I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting for a speedy recovery.
  8. even the so called experts have trouble trying to predict currency exchange rates/trends. for instance, nobody predicted the AU$ would crash as it has; at least, nobody I was listening to or reading, and I have a keen interest in the exchange rates for the Yen and the US $. anyway, if you wish to get a better idea on the whys and wherefores of currencies go to < www.x-rates.com >. some good info there. I imported my GTR 9 months ago when the AU$ fetched approx 100 Yen. at todays rate [approx 61] I would have to consider if I could afford to import the same car now. are you considering importing?.
  9. nobody likes to see a bloke 'scammed' but to call this incident "unfortunate" is drawing a long bow. Thrustt sent money into the ether to a seller that he thought was "suspicious". I agree with Mr Nismoid, there are better/safer ways to do business.
  10. a combination of bad luck, inattention and concentration loss; we've all done it. of course, this doesn't make it any easier. don't you hate that "crunching " sound, even before you inspect the damage, you know it is going to cost $$$. no, you are not an idiot, but we all feel pretty stupid after an incident like this. I know I did!!!. the good part of your story is that nobody was injured. good luck with the upcoming repairs.
  11. personalised plates are probably one of the few items you put on a car that have a chance of holding, or increasing in value. to each his/her own though, they are not called 'personalised plates' for nothing!!.
  12. yep, Mudgeeraba. heading south on freeway, take Mudgeera turnoff, Shell servo immediately on your left. cruisers usually park in Hungry Jacks car park next to Shell.
  13. so you know 'where to do it', and 'when to do it'; but not 'how to do it'?. gutters have been around for a long time Matey!!. wake up to yourself, before you mount a gutter and kill some innocent passerby using the footpath for it's intended purpose.
  14. rotten-minded scum!!!. good luck with getting it back; I lost mine [GTR] last year and even though the cops caught the thief , I have not seen my car since it was stolen. cops say it is either locked in a shed somewhere awaiting 'rebirth' or, already sold off as used spares.
  15. good job on the paint, great to see an original classic get the respect it deserves and a freshen up. sounds like your old man got as much fun out of the painting as you did; aren't 'revhead' Dads great?. I might be wrong here, but I think the original lips were just black plastic with a matte finish [not paint]. that is what's on mine anyway and scratches don't show unless you take a real close look. other members might be able to shed some light on this though.
  16. I have been on this forum for a few years and this is the most immature, gutless and petty post I've seen. good onya. I haven't seen the car in person, but it looks OK in the pics. point is, there has been a lot of work put into this paint job by a bloke and his Dad; they are both happy with, and proud of the result and so is every other poster to this topic,.... except you. post some pics of your car so other 'weenies' can throw shit at it!!.
  17. seeing as the 'old lady' doesn't insure herself; she should have plenty of money to pay for the damage she caused!!. was the trolly insured!!?. anyway, you have my sympathy, shit thing to happen.
  18. get your car fixed, stay alive, and we'll see you for SCC 2009!!.
  19. this is a sensless statement; you don't know the circumstances of Tyson's 'accident'.. wet weather brings plenty of drivers undone; not all are "stupid". if you have to crap on someone, crap on his Mum for not ensuring he had time behind the wheel in the wet. she obviously knows there are special skills/knowledge required for wet weather driving.
  20. all good stuff above, look for all the normal stuff as if buying an ordinary set of wheels: then [seeing as you are new to the GTR wonders]have a recognised GTR, literate workshop give the car a full electronic diagnostic. plenty of hidden costs here. good luck!!.
  21. the point is; what goes around , doesn't come around to the thieving scum. when the thief gets caught [if he gets caught]he usually gets only a slap on the wrist. hardly a deterrant when there are large sums of money to be made stealing rare/valuable cars etc. we all pay for the stolen cars in higher insurance premiums.
  22. COOL ATTITUDE; BUT HAVE YOU HAD A CAR STOLEN?
