yep and turf the nismo thermostat and put a standard one back in, unless you are racing it. also, don't bother with an n1 pump on a road car it just gives you less water flow at road speeds.

S1 Stagea Orange Side Indicator Part Numbers
Duncan replied to flavzz's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Are you sure they are a factory part? Many models have side repeaters fitter for aussie compliance, and the complier generally chooses something cheap like pulsar ones -

yeah serves them right for their greed over the years, particularly in import parts. global competition is much easier these days -
yep I've had exactly that problem....when I had the dash out and didn't plug the mirror switches back in. they are pretty easy to get to and just pop out forward....so give that a check first

awesome to see everyone providing good updates, and good on you for asking the question in the first place. changing coils is a good idea no matter if they are the only issue, so buy some from just jap or similar, and follow a DIY guide on here to change them. It will probably take an hour or 2 to do carefully if you've never done anything like this before. And if you're not confident just ask someone to come and give you a hand. BTW pretty poor form from the shop but to be fair their expertise is oil changes on commodores and camrys..... -
AA and AP are both class A (outright). AP was allowed 2 professional, 1 amateur driver AA was allowed 1 professional, 2 amateur drivers So year, AA beating AP is impressive. But then again those kids had done so may hours on playstation maybe they should be considered pro

Duncan's Race Car - The Most Overdue Build Thread On Sau
Duncan replied to Duncan's topic in Motorsport Builds
umm yeah, nah. no updates from me, especially not on the new national holiday, "Nismo Day". I have been working on the trailer mostly, added solar panel, battery, invertor, compressor, winch, cameras lights etc. Pretty big job but all sorted now and should be nice and convenient at the track And now that's done, I need to sort the spares Neil and I brought back from the container the other week. Then...back to this old girl! -
fking awesome, stayed on the right lap and out of trouble all day. and definitely had the pace in the last 15min when it mattered. go nismo! and also, sucked in v8s. couldn't have been a better result for Nissan and free to air as you piss off to foxtel. especially after moving your dates around and deliberately banning supercar drivers from Bathrust

best damn use I've ever seen for a drag strip, good on em putting that together. looked nice and fast in some bits, but maybe the chicanes were a bit tight for a whale. good work! -

Aussie Delivered R32 Gtr's
Duncan replied to BoyWhoCriedWolf's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
BTW Kasey reduce the average sale prices by 10-15k for the blown motor and you'll be about right. Not sure who came to the conclusion that head work is required, it is almost certainly a bottom end rebuild that is required including new bearings and probably boring out the cylinders to remove the scores (which will also require aftermarket oversize pistons). Not a big deal, but not minor either...been there, done that before Where is the car, I've been keeping an eye out for something that has original bits but needs some work. Also, this forum is probably the best place to sell it to a genuine buyer that understands why it is worth more than imported GTRs. -

spotted old mate tonight, on the M4. good to see it out and about -
not at all. the cams motorkhana handbook (which we have a copy of BTW) specifies the approved courses and their exact layout and sizes. I saw the guys out with measuring wheels making sure it was all good. If we want our club members to be better prepared for proper khanas we should be using at least some of the courses so people can be familiar The organisers (RTDC) were very professional and worked hard all day, and I don't think we can complain as a club if one event out of a series isn't perfect for us to win!

4 Wheel Drive Gtr Gearbox Questions
Duncan replied to ossie cossie's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
actually just to be difficult I'd say its probably a 33 gtr box which was converted to push (ie 32 type) because it does have both clutch mounting points on the bell housing. But anyway, it doesn't really matter. They are all the same internally except for some parts in series 3 R33 GTR boxes. In any case the 32 and 33 series 1/2 parts are discontinued and you would have to fit 33 series 3 parts. They are all the same strength (ie very strong for a production box, but not unbreakable with enough power). I don't know much about differences in the attessa pumps but can note that the plugs on it are not 32 style, they are 33 or later style. -
It depends what you are doing, but if it is a "speed" event, ie not racing, the standard system is OK. There was plenty of confusion with scruits early on with these rules but it has all been settled for a while now. be fitted with two separate fasteners on any bonnet or other panel where the leading edge can be raised. The fastening systems shall meet the following requirements: (a) to be deemed separate, a fastening system shall continue to function if the second system is removed in its entirety; (b) they shall be of adequate strength and limited extensibility; © they shall simultaneously hold the bonnet or panel closed or as an alternative for speed events only, one fastening system shall hold the bonnet or panel closed and its release shall allow the bonnet or panel to be raised to provide access to a second fastening system fitted within the vehicle. The second fastening system shall prevent the bonnet or panel from being raised more than 150mm from the fully closed position. In a speed event, a road registered series production car fitted with an unmodified original equipment twostage fastening system shall be exempt from these requirements;

While no response isn't super helpful, I'm sure you can also understand that removing phone numbers is any scammer's #1 friend, so they probably ignore all such requests. -
Looks like some runs are up on youtube: Alex, damn close until last cone which I think was WD: Here is his incar, you can see how steering wheel work is needed for such a big heavy car on tight courses: Awesome apex watching too, I think he was looking out the rear window at times. Tim's incar, the first one in particular shows how well has was handling the tight turns and getting close to the cones And outcar from the same as the first vid. One win, one lose, its amazing how totally different lines end up with such similar times. Aggrodave, also drove really well but some cone hits hurt overall https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCrlrUwWCps Two of eric's runs And none of the leaf, no surprise, it doesn't sound very interesting! Basically this event didn't suit our club's cars, but the whole point of this series to have a whole heap of different types of events....if everything suited Skylines we should just call it the Skyline Nationals! Our job at this event was to get as high up the club chart until the other events so that we can defend last year's title

Nissan. but you'll need your VIN and FAST to turn 14075N into a full part number. if you post up here someone can look it up. BTW is it a metal part/joiner? If so you can get a decent workshop to repair it by brazing or welding
-
yeah that's a really common issue when they haven't been apart for a while. what car? I know the gtr ones are readily available from Nissan at a reasonable price....because I've had to replace a few over the years for the same reason
