  2. Has it got the HID headlights? Or why doesnt it have them? Theyre like $1300 a piece to replace... I thought it was a standard on S3's GTR's....?
  3. Happy to accept $13,000 CASH before rego runs out on 15th October. After this price will go back to $14,000 and car will come with 12mths rego and RWC for serious buyers only. Not interested in swaps for any cars, so dont ask. The only swap I would consider is for an R33 GTR plus cash your way.
  4. Hi folks, Up for sale is my super reliable daily. Low kms approx 117,500kms. Bought almost 2yrs ago with only 104,000kms in the clock. Full Log Book History Stock Silver Top LPG engine. Because this was the last of the wagon series that came out it came out as standard with the FG engine and silvertop LPG which is one up from the earlier greentop LPG engines. Rego: 1HL2ES Expires 15th October, will renew if required but price will increase by $700. VIN 6FPAAAJGWAAS96064
  5. Fixed! Ended up buying a decent 2nd hand one and got it reconditioned for all up around $230 thanks to Prestige Auto Venue , Coburg VIC But price will depends how bad it is to whether it can be fixed or if its stuffed. You can't get cam kits for them. But you can get seal kits etc. My pump was sounding like a supercharger when it got hot so we are guessing the one thats stuffed in the car is most likely dead. There are cheap shitty Chinese pumps available but i was told they don't make them good enough to use and to stay away from them. Final test is next week when she's installed!
  6. Original one was damaged in accident. 2nd one was off the donor car. (Is the one on it now, suspected stuffed, noisy bad sounds when hot) 3rd one?....I've got a second hand one but been told it can be possibly reconditioned with aftermarket parts for a few hundred $$.... Or buy a new oem nissan one which costs a mint... Bit over the labour costs atm
  7. Ive got a build date 11/1997 Nissan Skyline R33 GTST automatic Issue is the power steering pump ( the bit bolted onto the motor) has shit itself to say the least. Been told no new ones available in Australia, can't be repaired, no aftermarket option available, can't disable it.... Anyone else had this dilema? My mechanics theory is he doesnt wanna start to try to fix it cause he's pretty sure the cam inside is stuffed which will cost $$ labour and leave the car undriveable if no new parts are available. I agree. Just want to know if there is any aftermarket options out there to fix the problem.? Don't really wanna go second hand again but may have to.... OEM Nissan part is like over $900! But theyre not even sure if Nissan Japan have them available[emoji849] I need to replace the engine fan and fan clutch anyway so gonna sit on this until i find out the fulll options. Any help , Advice appreciated. Thanks in Advance[emoji1303]
  8. Yes had security. They broke in through the boot and disabled it someway through there. Then must of pushed it then roll started it. Not 100% sure. I had my LP2 coupe there too at Downshift that day. Quite a good Skyline turnout[emoji846]
  9. Yeah Steve and I woulda taken to the streets if it didn't turn up. Damaged rear bumper. Looks like they rolled it then pushed it with another car. Ignition damaged. Not sure about the driveline still being investigated / finger printed me thinks by cops. Main thing is its found, thanks to all the car loving peeps in Melbourne sharing the post.[emoji1303][emoji469][emoji469]
  10. FOUND! Thanks to everyone out there in the community for sharing. The owner is very appreciative for the help.
  11. STOLEN! If you see a Midnight Purple GTR R33 driving around Melbourne call ST Kilda police.! Or contact Carl Goodwin ( the owner) on Facebook. Our mates car has been pinched from St Kilda area. Stolen sometime after 5pm yesterday til today. Rego plates AKR263. Car was at Downshift Meet Saturday.
  12. Please also note these rims were all checked over beforehand and no stress cracks or twists at all. Then professionally sandblasted back to bare metal. Then powder-coated Dulux Gloss White by a great place locally. Centre caps NEW carbon fibre with Nismo inserts. Advertised elsewhere also. Low ballers will be ignored. $1,000 ono.
  13. OEM Nissan on water pump, timing belt , idler bearings, belts, I always use OEM Nissan. They cost more but worth it for the vital servicable parts. Garunteed fitment , insurance if anything goes wrong. As soon as you fit non-nissan parts goodluck claiming if they fail.
  14. You'd need to get permission from the realestate to do it. I work at a concrete formwork company. There is a clear sealer you can checkout that is oil repellant but it costs a mint that might help, check the tds. Colortec Max /Colorfresh Intensive but its expensive approx $2-300 ex gst. for 5litres. If its a rental you'd proably want something on top of it also cause the realestates love taking rentals to the cleaners at the end of leases. We just got brunted with dealing with having to clean a place that had a condition report 10+ years old! Theyre ruthless. So make sure you get permission if your gonna paint anything.
  15. Hi Decided to sell off my newly powder-coated rims to help fund towards my 1st GTR R33. Freshly powder-coated gloss white with Nismo Style centre caps. 18x7.5 Front 18x8.5 Rear PCD 5x114.3. Perfect R33 Skyline fitment (These came of another R33 SII Coupe GTST and were black originally but got them powder-coated White) $1100 ono open to reasonable offers CASH preferred Really nice Deep Dish would look great on a Silver, White or Midnight Purple R33. Pm if interested Local pick up or I can drop off Melbourne area if serious Will post more bits for sale soon. Got a heap of S2 R33 interior parts, headlights, rear strut brace, double ups from my rebuild left over.
  16. Agreed with Adam[emoji1303] Same goes with timing belt , bearing OEM used on my car works a treat. Pay more knowing it will fit/work.
  17. Hi Ive just purchased an oem GTR rear wing for my gtst s2. Its in need for a bit of restoration. Needs the rear brake light... Are these available to buy/source still? And rear base corner has damage but not sure if it is important when fitting? Photos attached There seems to be 3 fixing points already on the base and 1-2 on each side near the rear at sides. Just need to know if the damage is worth fixing or not. And if I can source a light?
  18. hope you made it out ok mate, looks intense.
  19. RACV for example said to me that they only quote repairs based on using Brand New parts, not spare parts because they offer a guarantee on repairs done. My point being, brand new OEM Nissan parts for an R33 are darn expensive. E.G. a set of OEM airbags a cool $6,500, Headlights around $1,400 a pair, Rad Support $500, etc etc. So it doesn't take much for them to write your R33 off as an economical write off. Obviously if the cars structurally compromised they will deem it a statutory write off regardless of the repair cost and they don't let you buy the car back at all, they send it to Pickles and you can bid for your wreck , if a statutory write off will never be able to re-register the car. They definitely factor in the wreck price. All complicated and each insurer has different rules, excess's .
  20. RACV's assessor told me this information. He said if it costs the insurance company more than approx figure of 70% of the cars total worth they can write the car off as an Economical Write Off and payout.
  21. I just signed both my cars up with Shannons. Laid Up Insurance on my R33 whilst she's being rebuilt and Full Comp on my Ford BF Wagon. Good value, good insured amounts, better than RACV. RACV are quick to payout but also quick to write your car off as they only quote on repairing your car with brand new parts so if its an import they'll write it off pretty quick as economical. eg A new set of airbags on an S2 Skyline new will set you back $7,000 and the insurance company will write the car off if damage is 70% or more of its worth. I got to buy my car back with RACV but the premiums are ridiculously expensive.
