  1. Hi guys, Been rebuilding my Midnight Purple SII R33 over the past year and thought I'd share my powdercoating experience. Had some rough looking 18" rims that had been previously spray painted black. So looked at new 19" and $$ out of my range atm until my car exits the panel shop. So decided to powder coat the 18" white. Went about getting them sandblasted back to bare metal up at Tullamarine. Then got our powder coaters to recoat them PEARL WHITE. They look really great and well worth $$ if looking to refresh older rims. Added some carbon fibre caps and they look fine as a cheaper option whilst saving up for some Japanese rims Work/Volk/Enkei. Some photos of the finished product below :
  2. Don't know exactly the name of the part but it's the lower front drivers side bracket that I think holds front subframe. Also looking for underneath splash guard for under engine. See photo below: Pls text 0450428158

  4. I was lucky was just that the windows were just wound down before the power was pulled. Everything in tact nothing removed. Just a matter of removing door skins, finding the window motor connection un clicking it and follow above instructions. Before that i just had to tape up the windows, tarp over top of car then waterproof heavy duty car cover over top. And tape the tarp down. Car battery, 3mm wire, clips, small battery terminal clips.

  8. DONE! Bought a new car battery as I needed one anyway for my other car once it is fixed. Built myself some cables using 3mm wire with terminal clips at one end and switch clips at other end so you can easily plug in/out of the switch. Then plugged the switches in depending on which way you want the windows to go up/down. Then place the negative on the battery first and as soon as you touch the positive terminal your all systems go! Please note this was all done on a car that has no loom or power or fuse box, hence only fix available. Not bad for a girl [emoji846].
  9. Perfect. Rang my mechanic and said the same unfortunately i have two flat car batteries so only half done. Off to buy a battery charger! Thanks guys! Will try to post a video of it once done . [emoji846][emoji846]
  10. Do you have a photo to show where to hook up the wiring to? Positive / Negative? I knew I had to get manual power to the motor with a battery, just don't know wiring part. Thanks for the help so far
  11. Can you manually wind up windows on an R33 if you have no power? No Headlight Loom or Fuse box in engine bay available. Door Skins are removed so easy access. Just need to know OR be shown how to either power them up manually with battery OR wind up manually without power. Or is it best to just get an auto electrician in?

  17. Damn that looks super clean! Was a fresh import earlier this year. Only 96,000kms and 100% stock original. Went like a rocket but we had a little front prang earlier this year so it's being fixed. Definitely fun to drive even as a stocky. Good solid engines. I've got a silver 1997 SII 40th also but I have to part that to fix my other one unfortunately. Your car looks super clean too!
  18. Hi I've just towed my donor car back from my mechanics but I'm having issues locking the car manually. Drivers side won't lock OR open Passenger will unlock only. Mechanic has ripped out entire dash , airbags , ECU and engine loom to fix my other car just wondering if I need something powered up to get the locks working? Also will need to get windows up too... The car had a remote alarm system when I bought it so not sure how to fix this? Maybe I can hard wire something? Any help would be appreciated.
