  1. I spent a year in Norway and saw some great bands. Google on YouTube. Hurra Torpedo Black Debbath The Cumshots Turboneger Enslaved Wardruna Gorgoroth
  2. If my car is finished by then could be a good first outing.
  3. I'm having a dilemma. I've got 2 broken S2 Grills and another S2 Nismo style. 3 OEM parts in total. 1. Smashed up unrepairable 2. 90% but broken brackets on LHS 3. I have another S2 Grill but it wasn't the one bought out on my 40th Anniversary model so may use if I can't find a replacement tomorrow. Based in Melbourne's Nth, available to collect tomorrow. Nissan part number on two damaged ones : 62310 27U00 Nissan part number on the Nismo Style one is: F2310-26U00 I've added a photo of my car to show the type of grill required PM me if you have one...
  4. Its prob cheaper sell the GT and buy a Turbo GTT.
  5. I was looking at a car for sale seeing if it was worth the hassle to fix up. Only info I was given: Oil isn't milky Car is still running but the guy insists it requires a tow away And that the lifters require replacing. Think it might require a reco engine or expensive. Myself though Im really wanting the experience of trying to repair it myself under guidence from my mechanic. Shoulda just did an apprenticeship when I was younger i guess. Ive worked on older simple cars like Gemini's etc so the RB25 is a huge jump. Asking price is too high atm. I sold my silver 97 40th anniversary rolling shell inc engine/tranny for $1800
  6. Beautiful Car [emoji173]️R33 GTR
  7. Thanks! And what if the issue was caused by oil pressure issue? Any other things that need attention to detail? eg oil cooler, oil pump, oil pressure stuff.... Guess it's hard to guess til it's opened up.[emoji849]
  8. Is it difficult/expensive to fix a lifter issue on an RB25 turbo engine? Engine is still running. Ie does it mean the Head is probably in question and Oil Cooler/Pressure.? Full rebuild possibly? I've never rebuilt an RB25, pretty keen to learn how to rebuild RB engines in general. But to know when it's worth it or not is the question/knowledge i guess. Cheers
  9. Anyone vouch for a good company that ships from Sunshine Coast / Gold Coast to Melbourne? Or who not to use? Cheapest quote so far is $695... To move an R33 Coupe.
  10. That dealership has been caught winding clocks back in the past, there's an old thread about it....no idea what they'd be like these days. The car looks different to this one advertised. A lot of stuff removed if it was the same car. I'd be asking for import papers to prove kms if buying from that dealer.
  11. I like the R33 GTR over the R32 just personal choice but to find one in Australia that hasnt been boosted/modified beyond belief is difficult. With those sellers not offering a roadworthy but still want big $$. The R32 are getting "tired" they had over heating issues which was eliminated on the R33. But the R33 is heavier... Pros/Cons with both. I'd personally fresh import any GTR at this point cause at least you know what your getting up front. The R32 GTR's pricing is ridiculous, asking $40+ k for cars that have kms over 100,000kms. These are high performance engines, how many km's is a Stock GTR engine good for? R33 GTR's arent much better in price and also are over 100,000km territory. At this point I've decided to keep my 97 SII LP2 GTST , genuine 96,000kms because its cheaper to maintain. I'd love a good stock LP2 SII R33 GTR but its that or a house deposit! [emoji849] I think the only GTR's of any type that are gonna hold their value is good genuine low km STOCK GTR's. The whole point for collectors is originality. I think alot of GTR engines have been screwed up by opening them up and screwing with internals....
  12. Whats with the rear diff shutter? Have you been quoted to repair it or find out the cause of it 100%? Otherwise it looks like a beauty.
  13. Hey I'm pretty old school. [emoji846] All my car has atm is the stock Japanese radio cassette player which doesn't tune to many Australian channels but it's pretty cool having a cassette player again. The car currently has zero mods whatsoever any where on the car.= blank canvas. So any things better at this stage. My only concern was the remote is missing for the head unit. I didn't realise how cheap stereos are these days. I'll probably get the speakers changed over to new ones as I reckon at least two have blown cones. I also have this cool Nissan "Puretron" air cleaner/filter but not sure if it's worth re-installing or if it even works.
  14. Hi, I inherited this stereo when I purchased my donor R33 to fix mine and just tossing up if its worth installing into my car or is it out dated and not worth the pain.? The specs on both seem pretty decent but the CD receiver is missing the remote. The power amplifier is pretty good for 1000 watts max output. If its old and out dated I'll just sell it and buy a newer stereo. 1. 2009 Kenwood KDC-MP6043U CD Receiver. 2. 2008 Kenwood KAC-8104D power amplifier
  15. I know this is an older thread but checkout partsouq.com website Type in the blue jap vin number eg for yours. ER34-004336 and every spec for your car turns up. And every part number. Assuming you havent changed engines etc since it was new. Heres the overview of your car when it was first built. Cheers
  16. I found out that there is no difference between Series BUT there was a difference between a turbo and non-turbo. Bell housings are different for obvious reasons.
  17. [emoji846] too funny, scrap metal? They're good for up to +/-450HP "apparently" ...though Im not interested in increasing HP atm. The need 4 Speed....[emoji469] Thanks for the info!
  18. Just a quick question in regards to auto transmissions between series 1 & 2 for R33 GTST coupes. I own a 97 SII auto. I figure autos arent that hard to source but it would be good to know the differences if any. Was looking at buying a spare auto but the buyer advised its from a 94 model. I remember reading here somewhere on SAU about older autos only were 3 speed? Does anyone know where/what series/years had different transmission gear set ups?
  19. Definately can't get the thing out even after unscrewing it. Its fixed in pretty tight. It leaks through where the black sealant already is. I'll checkout the boot channel seam area and see if that putty stuff has deteriorated. Ive got a spare pair of blue tail lights as a worse case scenario. Its mainly the LP2 trim thats the issue if stuff breaks. Not the easiest colour to source when buying spare parts. Cheers
  20. Since I've imported my R33 coupe it's had a very slow leak which looks like it's coming from the internal seal of the RH tail light inside the boot. A slow dribble around the seal. Problemo is I can't seem to get the light out to re-seal it back in. The little bugger is stuck, my mechanic even tried heat lights to soften the black gooey sealant to no avail. Was considering cutting it out with a knife but scared of breaking it. Are there any secrets to removing these puppies without breaking the tail light? Just don't want water/ rust to start inside my boot when it rains heavy.
  21. Yeah I know how darn pricey these puppies are now NEW... Ive got a fair condition Drivers side was hoping there was some cheap 2nd hand pairs out there.... Nissan want $700 each... Passenger side has one bracket broken slightly was looking at buying a new pair but I doubt it now that theyre $1,200... Will stick with the pair off the donor car I have and get the bracket fixed.
  22. Anyone know where to source these from? The 1997 SII Coupe are a bit different to the Series below... To suit Coupe NOT Sedan Definately dont want SI lights. Some photos below of what Im looking for. PM if you know of any floating around. Happy to pay freight from interstate if required. Must be working. Cheers
  23. How serious is the rust around the struts you suggested? Have you been quoted anything to repair it yet? Cheers
