  1. fits, i had the r34 on it, now running a split r33 system that came off a r34...... so yes, it fits
  2. sure. would be much appreciated if you could see if you can find a better price.
  3. thanks, didnt realise they were so damn expensive tho, all the ones i found were the 120 mark incl shipping... but then again, they were aluminium. i did a google search and google never helped me find any useful information...... figured, google + stagea = shit
  4. Hey, just got my old rear subframe bushes out and now looking at buying new ones as the frame is being powedercoated. This is for a C34 stagea, none of that M35 shit here Now, my questions are: Are they the same as the silvias and skylines??? I know the s15 and s14 subframes fit into the C34 stageas, but with a couple of mods, are the mods bushes related? Also where is the best place to get them from?? All I find are from UK and even then they are the solid aluminium ones. They might be a bit noisy for a road car. Thanks for the help Fellas and Fellettes
  5. rb25det NEO cuts out at 14-15psi. thats when mine cut out. and at the 15psi mark, it will also go into R&R around the 5k rpm mark every now and then. mine ran into 2 problems when i hit 15psi, it either cut out completely and it felt like i drove into a wall when the fuel cut out, or the other problem was it just stopped accelerating past the 5k rpm (i could keep foot on accelerator but it would not go past the 5k mark), i think the R&R kicked in then. The ECU decided at random what it problem it wanted to choose..... so i replaced the stock ecu with a power FC and run between 14-16psi depending on the day
  6. pressure switch.. on the c34's it should be a little switch on the rear of the gearbox where your pump is connected to. at least i am lead to believe that that little hose goes into a "pressure switch" which activates the attesa clutch pack.....
  7. oh, and invest in a 2nd clutch, thats all
  8. are you running 18" all round? as long as they have the same rolling diameter it doesnt matter what you run.
  9. checked ping. ive had no problems with pinging on e10. ethanol runs as good as it should. 95 i got more pinging than on e10. why do people think e10 is shit petrol? we all know the properties of ethanol and the chemical structure. it is better than petrol
  10. my car runs silky smooth and i run on e10....... (rb25det NEO @ 14psi stock turbo) r33's have an issue with the aac getting really dirty and most people seem to flush them out or clean them. i know of some people claiming to have problems in some of their skylines when running hi octane petrol, one guy says he has a perfectly stock r32gtr from japland and he has problems running 100octane and sais the car runs like shit and just spits and misfires, so he runs octane booster. my 2 personal friends on the other hand, have both imported a r32gtr from japland 4 months ago, with everything stock besides the exhaust and the boost restrictor removed can run their cars perfectly on e10, 95oct,and 98oct. so to be honest, i dont know what people have problems with.
  11. Sedan over 1700?! Did they build it with lead enforced chassis? Thats beyond the stageas weight lol....
  12. When i was a p plater, i had a mk2 golf gti and got into n/a tuning, before i finished tuning the entire car fully, i went from 100hp atw to 145hp atw. I went into cams, porting and polishing, exhaust setup, compression and finally ecu tuning. I never got round to forging the engine and drive train setup. Car had a set of bilstein shocks and springs in it and some high performance pads. This was a 1.8l 8v engine, so not as bad. And all up i threw $3k into it. My cousin had a mk2 1.8l 16v and that thing from factory had 139hp atw. Pretty damn impressive. In my oppinion, nothing sounds better than a properly built N/A engine
  13. sounds like GTR weight, i have a stagea, so im in the 1600kg bracket. might have to give the RTA a call and ask em? From memory the r34 gtt was 1410-1480kg depending on setup
  14. if you want to do this for money wise, these are your options: buy a stagea series 1 turbo engine (lots of spare parts and millions of add ons) also the engines are cheap as nuggets then if you are going for a manual conversion, buy a r32 gtr box, cheap to come by and uses the push type clutch, HEAAAAAPS cheaper to buy a clutch for. depending on what condition the gearbox is in, it should hold the odd 400kw quite easily. that is the cheapest option. better option plus, using slight less petrol: stagea series 2 NEO engine ( slightly more expensive, and less tuning parts to go by, internally tuning that is) but it is a newer engine. and mate that with a r32gtr push type box
  15. i did 6 seconds in my c34 rs4s, but that was with 14psi boost and a 3" straight thru exhaust with dump. also i did a 5.5k rpm dump.
  16. Thank you guys, i am getting my car repaired now as is, cause i have run out of rego since i was waiting for their long ass reply. So now i need to repair out of my own pocket and have to go through blue slip etc for rego. I will talk to a lawyer on the weekend, and then i will sit down and have a chat with rms and see what i can get done. Thanks for the help, if there are any more ideas out there, throw em in here
  17. nah, i was actually in traffic, i could not see the "lump" in front of me because we were all lined up at the lights driving off. i do not expect them to keep roads 100%, but serious damage on the road, that can defect your car, they need to be liable for. i could not slam on the brakes and stop in front of the pothole otherwise the guy behind me would run up my ass, could not swerve otherwise i would have taken out the car next to me. this is a main road in the city, there is always traffic. but i reported the hole before i made the claim, and the hole is still there, 2 months after i reported it!
  18. Its not quite a pothole, its hard to explain. Its tar that has heen pushed to the middle of the lane because it is soft. So it dips down where your wheels run, like a pothole, but alll the excess tar builds up right in the middle of the lane. So that giant bump of tar took out the bottom centre of my car.
  19. Sell the car to another p plater as non turbo cars go for more $ than the turbo cars and save your money from the engine conversion, ($4k+) and the sold car, ($4-6k). That would roughly get you $10k+ together, then just buy a r32gtr with some added cash. They can be had pretty cheap these days. 14-15k for a decent one. Then build up from there.
  20. btw, i drive past pot hole every day as i work in the city, and it is still there.... still with the exact same yellow square spray painted around it when i first hit it, plus another white square again. the lump/pothole has gotten even worse, i now see some cars even swerving around it.
  21. so do i, im pissed off beyond belief. it just annoys me how arrogant they can be! what is everyone elses opinion? who should i talk to etc etc? as i dont want to jump to anger and ruin it all for myself and the car, I'd rather ask you guys for some advice. best options, lawyer? pestering them? or anything else?
  22. [update] ok boys and girls, the results are final, here it is, the email i have received from the RTA claims people: Without Prejudice Dear Sir Date of incident: 6 April 2012 Location of incident: Intersection of Cleveland Street and Elizabeth Street Surry Hills RMS claim no: TPC5220 We refer to previous correspondence in the above claim. Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) has investigated this claim and has determined that it was not negligent in this instance. The reasons for RMS’s decision are as follows: 1. RMS inspects Cleveland Street and Elizabeth Street on a regular basis to identify, prioritise and repair observed defects, including potholes, on the carriageway. Further, RMS is required to respond to reports of defects on the roadway in a specified period of time. 2. An examination of RMS’s records confirms that the inspection prior to your incident on 5 April 2012 did not identify any defects on Cleveland Street and Elizabeth Street in the vicinity of the location you have identified. 3. RMS was also not notified of any defect on Cleveland Street and Elizabeth Street prior to your incident. 4. RMS is not liable for damage caused by defects on the roadway if RMS was not aware of the existence of the defect at the time the damage occurred. RMS does not doubt that this incident occurred, however at the time of this incident it had no knowledge of the existence of any defects on Cleveland Street and Elizabeth Street. RMS regrets that this incident occurred, however as it complied with its legal obligations and had no knowledge of any defects on the roadway at the time of your incident, it cannot accept liability and therefore denies that it was negligent in this claim. In support of this, RMS relies upon the relevant provisions of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW). Yours sincerely Shirley Prasad Claims Officer Injury Management & Claims Services
  23. PAT! yours is also a t4 flanged turbo, not a t3, its some sort of other hypergear turbo, def does not have anything original on it your boost kicks in at 5k rpm anyways. but from there on, it pulls like a train. BTW, to OP, to upgrade your turbo, you might want to invest in a clutch as well.
  24. if i can scratch some cash together to pay rego ill be in too. would be some great fun.
  25. car will run fine on standard ecu, but you will benefit a heap more with a ecu. but do the exhaust regardless, nicer sound and free flow, less restriction on the turbo
