  1. Read hypergear thread from 296 and on wards: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-hiflow-service-continued/page__st__5900 They've tested out the fully bored out and remade stock manifold against a $1300 steam pipe manifold plus manifold with external gate. Expansive manifold made a difference.
  2. I think what he meant was get a proper hand made manifold with a proper external gate system for better power.
  3. install an electric turbo that sits 3 psi on ideal. lol
  4. I believe some one mentioned about cracked turbine wheels I think it finally busted a chunk off. The cheapest bit is ask Eiji to replace it under warranty or get a genuine greedy wheel and get it balanced.
  5. Didnt hypergear selling the billet version of the 10cm 20gs.might want to check if they keep stock.
  6. There are 283 pages of it lol. Check out this thread. Http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-hiflow-service-continued/page__view__findpost__p__6435394__hl__hypergear__fromsearch__1
  7. I'll be very interested to see what the common models can do on high mount externally gated setup.
  8. That would be making a pretty big difference. Be interested to see what the G3 can do on a proper ext gated setup or the 5556 int gated on stockie setup.
  9. The Hypergears were only bolted on stock manifold and internally gated. Is the new turbo also running on factory setup as well?
  10. That is mint. Perfect power curve. Must be crazy fast on road. How do you think this would compare against the original SS2 you made back in the days?
  11. Are there more stories on this shinny roller bearing turbo? Ever throught of using this on your new SS2?
  12. lol if the problem you've had was from exhaust restriction then why not take your car back to the tuner and get it patched up with the twin pipes you've made. it should be able to pick up another 20kws with extra 4 psi of boost.
  13. Great work. Thats lot of power out of a unopened Rb25det. The Gt3076r result, was that with cams as well?
  14. 1) I been hearing a lot about the Gt35r turbos but unsure if theyll do or bit expensive and might as well go with cheaper? Thats a turbocharger made for a ford xr6. will be laggy ass for a RB25 engine. Get hypergear's PU high flow done to yours, its a drop in turbo that save you lots of fuss, makes 280rwkws on 98 and roughly 330rwkws on E85. 2) 440cc or too low? Yes that is too low. Get ID 1000 injectors with fuel rail or some 850cc sard or Power enterprise injectors. 3) a lot use Walbro is there a specific pump needed or mainly all walbros are high flow rate? Walbro is fine, I perfer bosch 040, you get them at your ford service centers. 4) what difference between ECU + tune or just a nistune (daughter board) + tune?? Nistune don't work on Rb25det unless its a Neo motor. You can try PFC, Link G4 or get adaptronic plugin. 5) how will 6 or 9 puck clutches differ? Get Xtreme single plate. They are good for around the 300rwkws mark. 6) would i need a GTR gearbox or would stock do? Stock will do fine. 7) what would engineers certificates cost roughly? and engineers cert is done after all the upgrades? or before? Normally you would speak to your engineers before any modifications taking places. There are certain requirement must be meet. They will tell you all about it. 8) would i need aftermarket pistons/conrods? (ie forged) Stock is fine for 300rwkws if it has a good tune. 8) have i missed anything? ie would i need an aftermarket suspension system to handle power/thrust? if so, i like a smooth ride (not rough) any recommendations? Not really, but do get good tyres. and finally, how much will all this cost? roughly between what two figures? I spent about $4G and installed most of the stuff my self.
  15. Had the FNT .82 type B turbine housing in last night along with the modified 6 bolt plate, stao is very helpful. Took it for a quick spin, its lot faster then what it was. the low gear response is very noticeable. It doesn't feels like the car's lazy down low any more. it pulls like a train from start all the way to red burning plenty of tires behind it. I'll get it to a dyno for a quick check up and compare both results. Definitely worth the time, get it done while its free . ps. Ask stao take you for a drive in his 350rwkws Hyperwagon, that thing's gooooooooooooooood.
  16. Stao. I'm bring in my PU high flow back to you this weekend for the type B rear housing you've got as well as getting the cut out of the adaptor flange. I will post some feedbacks for you once they are back. can't wait
  17. I've got a high flowed R34 turbo that is making 287rwkws on my Neo at moment. I like to try some thing different, are you interested to swap for that?
  18. But then you went to all star and got 260rwkws with nothing changed. Any way was your car ended up tuned today? any updates?
  19. I mean referring to your old posts in this thread, wasn't that the same work shop (Andy) whom initially tuned your car and straggling to make any thing above 200rwkws with a G2 turbo?
  20. I don't think mine had the large area cut out when I bought it back in 2010. Does the new flange make any differences in power?
  21. Go to see Toshi and get his remap. he might be able to get lot more killawasps
  22. How much fuel your car uses depends on how the car gets driven. Just go easy on the throttle for better millage, if you go heavy, car drinks more fuel. On high way cruise the car reads of O2 feedbacks, realistically it makes no difference in fuel consumption unless the tune is too rich. My car's using more fuel after all those mods becuase I can't help my self not thrashing it.
  23. apparently if you do get caught with external gate on a RB that is 6 penalty points (1 point is roughly $1000 fin). So regardless how good running external gate is and blah blah I'm just going to stick with my high flow.
