Hi guys. I'm planning to forge my Rb25det next year and looking for some advise. It appears Pistons manufactures offers differenct compression ratioed pistons such as 8:1, 8.5:1, 9:1 and 9.3:1 for the RB25det. Refer to what I've read the RB25det NEO engine runs 9:1 compression. What would be the advantage or dis-advantage of increasing or decreasing compression ratio? I’m looking to make around 350rwkws. Thanks for the input.

What Would You Expect From This On Rb25

thats almost half price compare to brand new. Can't believe they depreciated almost 50% in just a year.

That is pretty interesting. I guess a brand new turbo do perform better then high flowing with factory housings.

Doesn't seems like its going through any cat or mufflers, Its going to be loud as. might be good for track cars.

You are comparing a 450HP turbo with a 500HP turbo. Its obvious. You might as well as compara a GT28 with to4Z.

Mine was a factory OP6 high flow, every thing bolted back the way it was. the 300rwkws+ high flow I referred to was the so called "pu high flow" which comes with a .82 OEM pattened turbine end. From photos all it needed was a oil feeding line like all their other high flows. It runs on factory comp housing so I guess spacer is not needed. Have a read in their thread, lots of information: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Hy...ce-t261613.html

For 2~3 Grand you can get a GT3076R in the new nissan 6 bolt housing. (I think they were for $2300). Or get hypergear to do your high flow, they can make your stockie to pump 300rwkws+. Check their thread out.

Stao I guess you don't pay much attention to other people's topics. "Lithium" 's topic in making his turbo spool faster is around for a while. You can find your answer there: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Gt....html&st=60 By the way my R34 high flow works great. I will be tuning it next week and post some results.

GeorgesR34 replied to GeorgesR34's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Its a very clean car for $15G wirh RWC registration with insurance. Its fully stock. The R34's for $19G drive away with insurance. any difference between those 2x engines performance wise? apart from that I know that Neo engine's got a larger turbo of some sort. -

Hi Guys I'm new to this forum. I'm planning on buy a skyline from JSA in Bell st, they have a 97 model R33 and a 99 model R34 with $4000 price difference. Out of your experience is R34 a better car to get? or I should just save that $4000 for modifications. Thanks for your inputs.
