    Torched 34

The way things are going we can start another offshoot of SAU-Vic. We can call it Team BBQ!!! (No offence to the owner of the 34. Just trying to be humorous).
  2. Peak hour city driving (meaning constantly off boost) averaged out to be bout 22L/100kms. Shupper Shcary Shtuff!!
  3. I used to drive mine on a daily business until I bought the Mazda 6. My car could be used as a daily driver as long as you are prepared to put up with the heavier clutch, noisy exhaust, horrific fuel consumption and without the creature comforts required for daily city driving like a decent stereo, leather, sun roof and cruise control. It all depends on what a person's tolerance is in regards to using the car as a daily driver. As I work in the city and most of the driving was city peak hour, it just wasn't feasible for me to use it everyday.
  4. I didn't have to go. I went to my fridge and low and behold, KK donuts were sitting in there! My lovely GF was in Sydney yesterday and brought back 2 dozen assorted for me. I don't know why you'd queue for this kinda stuff. Honestly...
  5. Happy Bday James!! Hope the chauffeur business is treating you well See if you can scam a bday pressie from some hot model like chic!!
  6. The first KK store in Melb was to open in Fountain Gate in March however it was delayed until April. KK doesn't want to open a store in the city for some time for "business planning reasons". Yes, I was looking into the franchise idea a couple years back but the financial outlay was waaaaaay to great for me The sucessfull bid will be opening at least 6 stores over the next 12 months in Victoria at a cost of around $20M. Personally, I can't wait and can stop making my orders from NSW everytime I know someone heading up there.
  7. I LOVE THIS THREAD!!! Thread of the year so far!! Ash, don't worry mate, I'm pretty sure your mum still loves you...
  8. Well from all accounts it seems that you all had a great time! Congrats once again to the organisers who put in all the effort to make events like this happen. Unfortuantely I couldn't make it as I was at Two Tribes last night until 7 this morning, the Publicity "recovery" party until 2pm and now I'm home bumming out until sleep time. I'M SPENT!!!
  9. James, what is the go with being the mobile White Pages?? Did you actually end up calling any of them? Pete, I know I was playing golf that day. What's your excuse? Looks like everyone had a ball, especially James and Adz!! There's a photo there being a closeup of Pete. Was that photo taken because of Pete or the wonderful scenery behind him?? Hotties all round by the looks of it.
  10. Happy Birthday Pat!! Hope you have a great one mate. Perfect timing for 2 Tribes
  11. Don't forget there's a meeting on tonight kids. See you there!
  12. Mines for sale right now 400+awkw all day everyday. Max output so far has been 617rwkw done at Melbourne AutoSalon last year. Check out http://iceperformance.com.au/gtr for more details. Price is always negotiable As others have mentioned, there's a big difference between cars that can make 400awkw once in a while and a car that can do it all day long.
  13. God Damn!! Missed this thread today Kaz, hope you had a good one and you party hard when you get the chance
  14. Happy Birthday Mav! Make the 21st one to remember

    Bali Nine

Why would you bring drugs into a country fully knowing that the penalty for being caught was death?? Death would be a cheaper option for Indonesia so they don't have to feed these money hungry sods. Hang em I say but that's just my uneducated opinion of international drug trafficers. Hope they don't suffer from claustrophobia.
  16. I have a number of tones I change every now and then. They are: Zombie Nation The A-Team Theme Knight Rider Theme The green man traffic light noise (d/loaded it from some RTA kinda site) Aha - Take on me
  17. I'm currently with Medibank Private too. I've got Smart Choice Extras Level 2 with Super Extras. http://www.medibank.com.au/productandservi...icehospital.asp http://www.medibank.com.au/productandservi...hoiceextras.asp I pay about $240 a quarter but after 2004, I totally believe in this system. I never used to think it was worth it but I had a collapsed lung in 2004 and spent 2 weekends in hospital. After all the surgery, anesthetistic, hospital fees and everything else, I was about $300 out of pocket. Keeping in mind the Epworth charges $800 a day for non covered paitents, I think I got a damn good deal. I have to have my wisdom teeth out at the end of Feb too so I'm all paid up. Defiantely worth the investment. Also, if you don't have PHI after turning 30, you will have to pay an extra premium every year you don't get it. Sign up and pay it. You never know when you're gonna need it.
  18. NOOOOOOO!!! Rod!! Say it ain't soooo!! I love your car! Makes me wish I had mine on the road I can attest to the performance of this car. One of the best setup road cars going round. Absolute steal for the price. You try building the car with the same quality for less. It ain't gonna happen. Best of luck mate.
  19. Here's a couple shots of mine in race spec. Big fan of the launch angle of the car.
  20. Hi Darryl, The price of my car has come down considerably since first advertised and if you truely are interested in purchasing it, we can discuss. Send me a PM if you like. To answer your questions... I doubt many people out there would drive their 10 sec GTRs on a daily basis considering the price of fuel these days. I work in the city and commuting in and out of city traffic in peak hour with my car would be ridiculous. When I'm racing or going for a fang, the noise of the exhaust, the stiff suspension and heavy clutch don't bother me. In peak hour though, it's the last thing I want. I want leather, a good stereo which doesn't have to compete with the exhaust, it needs to be ecomonical and I don't want to worry about it parked in a carpark with 11ty billion sh|teboxes around me. Circuit racing is another form or racing you can use your 33 for. The RacePace Motorsport 3.0L R33 GTR is doing 1:15 laps of Sandown on semi comps which is only 3 secs off the pace of a V8 Supercar. If the car is correctly setup, there's no reason why you can't circuit race a 33 GTR sucessfully. It's more comfortable and modern than the 32. The interior is far superior to the 32 in every way. I hated the dials on the dash for headlights and that kinda crap. The finish in the 33 is easier to live with than a 32. I beleive the boot is bigger than a 34 if you are going to use it. I use my GTR for golf so I still have to be able to fit my set aswell as a mates set in the boot on most weekends. As the 34 is newer, the interior is once again more modern and comfortable than the 33. Possibly not as much room inside but it feels more snug. The 33 gives the sense it's is more of a barge inside rather than a race car. Anyhoo, hope this answers your questions. Shoot me a PM if you're still interested in my car. Cheers, Dave.
  21. The tried and proven method have been the HKS 2530 turbos. Makes a nice 310rwkw mark with a fuel system upgrade. Can make up to 350ish rwkw when put on C16 and lots of boost.
  22. Stock R33 GTRs come with 17x9 but use a 45 profile tyre. According to what others have said and I have also tried to a point, the ideal rim for a R33 GTR which is mainly driven on the street and occasionally on circuit days are 18x10 or at most 18x10.5. This leaves enough sidewall on the tyre for it not to ride like a skateboard, make the ride very noisy, uncomfortable and unpredictable. Also, your suspension setup will have a lot to do with how the increase in rim size affects your ride and handling characteristics. bfi.inc, companies such as BMW M3,M5,AMG Mercedes,Jaguar and Ford do use 19" rims on some of their cars however these are stock or factory optioned rims. Going up to 19" on a R33 GTR is 2" larger and stock which is also illegal in most states.
  23. Considering stock width on a 33R was 245 and 285s fit pretty flush with the guards, I doubt it. I maybe wrong though.

Stay away from Singapore chicks Troy. Trust me on this one. They may be loaded past the brim in kesh but they are one of the highest maintenance styles of wimen in the World!! She won't cook and clean for you. She'll pay someone else to do it, but let it be known that if you don't have more money than her, you're not worth looking at coz Daddy says so.
