  1. I know Karl very well. Known him for bout 3 years now. He's help work on my car on numerous occasions and helped out many a late night before AutoSalons getting my car ready. If I'm not mistaken, it was an M800 setup. Came from Japan with a F Con VPro which was quickly replaced with the Motec.
  2. I chose the Autronic simply because I got a better deal on it than the Motec. The only thing negative thing to say about the Autronic is the cold start idle. Doesn't handle it very well but on the other hand it may be because we've just relied on a warm engine for driving... We've recently put a Motec into a R32 GTR and it happily made 535rwkw. Personally, if I was on a budget, I'd go the Autronic with CDI otherwise if money is of no consequence, run with the Motec.
  3. You've hit the nail on the head Wardest. Some of you will argue that there are more Holdens out there coz it's a family car and many Australian families drive Holdens. You can also say that about Frauds too. Simply the fact that there are less 'Liners on the road and most are driven by people under the age of 30 (35 at a stetch) gets us this wonderful attention. I'm not saying that older people are better drivers, nor am I saying that even more experienced drivers with track training are Gods of the Road but I would like to point out that most (if not all) Skyline accidents I've seen on the news or heard of through the grapevine involved drivers under the age of 30. Why is it that insurance companies rate males at 18-28 at the highest risk bracket? It's because they have the most accidents. It's a cultural thing. It's a total lack of respect for road rules, regulations and authority bodies. I'm sick of hearing people whinge about canaries and EPAs coz the modded their car. DEAL WITH IT!! If you choose to do it fully knowing that you are going against law, it also means that your willing to accept the consequences. "These laws suck. They're taking advantage of us." BS!!! Noone is taking advantage of you. Laws and regulations are made and you as a citizen must abide by them. If you don't, you get prosecuted for your illegal actions. If I hear of one more person whining about how they got busted for their illegal cars mods, I think I'm gonna admit myself into a time capsule and disappear for 11ty billion years. How many people here know how often I've been pinged by the cops? I'd dare say it's less than 10 people. It's coz I accepted the penalty for doing something wrong. Whingers are the ones who won't go anywhere in this World. Nobody owes you anything. Deal with it and move on. Abide by the rules, drive safe, don't be intimidated by a wannabe street racer and enjoy your car for what it was designed for. If you wanna race or show off, head to a track or public dyno day. Everyone can see how good you are then.
  4. XR6-T or a Typhoon. Actually, while we're in LaLa Land with Funkey, I'll take a new M5 thanks.
  5. Victoria - Not Any Other State Victoria - Run For the Hills Victoria - Welcome to Labour Country Victoria - Tolls R Us Victoria - Land Of The Defect And just a quick note to those who get upset for getting defected for mods...Learn to deal with it kids. It's here to stay and the only way you won't be defected is to keep it stock or stealth
  6. If you have no other mods, I would suggest you make around the 175-185rwkw on a conservative dyno... But that's just guessing really. I don't remember my inital dyno run it was that long ago.
  7. Simply having an RB26 under there doens't make it a GTR though....
  8. I've also seen a certain Lada running round Melb with one of those badges. Damn wannabes.
  9. SAU shirts are $30 for members and $35 for non members. Please let me know whether you want a red or black and what size you'd like as it saves the Pres from bringing the huge box of shirts everytime. Anyone else who wants a shirt, please post a color and size so it can be organised before the meeting.
  10. That would have been TRY-09 which ran some very tidy numbers in QLD. There was an article for it in HPI awhile back too. Oh and OBEHAVE and BIGPSI (I believe which is a GTS-T) are another couple powerful GTS-Ts running around and pulled nice numbers on the strip. There is also another red 3L GTS-T running around Melb owned by a certain FunBoy looking Fang Artist. I was only quoting GTRs as I don't follow the GTS-T scene as much. If someone else wants to list the most powerful GTS-Ts going around, feel free
  11. Or bring it to Ice Performance Details in the sig.
  12. Nowhere did I mention I had more power than IWIN. IWIN was mentioned on the list of most powerful cars. I was only judging a cars power by drag strip times as dynos read differently depending on calibration so the only way of getting a half accurate reading is at a drag strip. IWIN (as far as I know) has not made a pass down the strip so it was hard to tell where it would fit in the World of Powerful GTRs.
  13. Say bye bye to your stock turbos if you still have them. The ceramic wheels will have a fit and create nothing short of a supernova under your bonnet. Just out of curiosity, how long have your run your car on 1.3 bar with stockies?
  14. In Oz, there is without a doubt the Mario's GTR700 is the most powerful. I guess you could split this into 2 different categories, race and street regoed cars. In the race category I'd put the following (as judged by ETs and trap speeds): GTR700 R33 GTR Kier Wilson R32 GTR Munro R33 GTR In the street category, I'd include the following: Theo's R32 GTR LeeWah R33 GTR RacePace R33 GTR Ice Performance R32 GTR * IWIN R33 GTR * * - Has not recorded a time on the drag strip but publically run dyno runs have been recorded.
  15. If that's the case, then to the question "Have you been beaten in a race?", my answer would have to be "Yes. Yes I have." but does it count if you didn't know it was a race to start off with? What actually makes it a race anyway? Do I get a trophy at the end of it all or is the speeding ticket and the confiscation of my vehicle my prize? I may drive like a girl but at least I'll have my licence, a functioning body and the knowledge that I am actually faster than the penis envying turdburger who wants to race on the street. Besides, petrol is expensive these days and at 22L/100Kms, I'm trying to save it for normal driving...
  16. LMAOROF!!!! I can't believe this. you have to be making this one my Shan. Love it!!
  17. That's strange. My stock 33 GTR only made 174awkw when it was dead stock. To get 200+, I had to change the exhaust and cam gears and a PowerFC. As mentioned, a good stock internaled engine with 2530s and around 1.3 bar will make around 320rwkw as tested by both Ice Performance and Racepace (The car was Emre's 33 GTR). The only performance mods were injectors, fuel pump, cam gears, exhaust, PowerFC, clutch and OS Giken Cross Mission gearbox. I'd be looking into an aftermarket ECU quick smart. Power FC will do the job fine.
  18. Muppet: Is that a GTR? LeeWah: Sure is. Muppet: Love the paint job. LeeWah: Thanks mate. Muppet: Who did it? LeeWah: Nissan. It's a stock color for R33 GTRs (midnight purple) Muppet: Is it fast? LeeWah: Yeah, it hold's it's own Muppet: You reckon you can beat my mates HSV GTS? LeeWah: Dunno. May have to check one day Muppet: I reckon it'd be pretty close. My mate and I dragged off a XR6-T the other day and spanked it. LeeWah: Good on ya. Both have a fair bit of go Muppet: You into street drags? LeeWah: Used to go but gave it up a long time ago and keep it to the track now. Muppet: You should come on Thurs night! We'll have a drag LeeWah: I may just do that. Muppet: Can I look under your bonnet? LeeWah: Sure Muppet: OMFG!!! What the hell is that????!! LeeWah: It's a 1000hp turbo. tone> Muppet: Nice to talk to ya. LeeWah: Have a nice day
  19. Excellent photos! I sooooo wanna go back again
  20. Why would I need that if my custom built Jim Berry twin plate is serving me better than the 2 previous triple plate clutches ever did. For the cost of a Tilton triple carbon, I could have bought 2.5 Jim Berry clutches.
  21. I've been driving with around 400rwkw (around 370ish awkw I guess) and I don't have any problems except the noise of the exhaust pi$$ing off people when I warm the car up in the mornings. The clutch is fine but can be a bit tedious in the middle of the city. Even with the custom twin plate, everything is acceptable considering the power it's pushing.
  22. I've got a set. Check it out at http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=57635
  23. Subby is gone but everything else is there for sale... Anyone? Anyone??
  24. Bugger I can't do any day this week till Sat arvo at the earliest. Any chance of doing something then Greg? I'll be available after 6 on Sat.
  25. Hey Peter, Ice Performance can dyno tune Motec if you like. The boys down there tuned our latest edition, a R32 GTR to 535rwkw without a problem which actually won MAS Semi Final 2004. The only reason why we put Autronics into the R33 GTR and Supra is because they were better suited to our applications.
