  1. I've had some failed dealings with Steve. Although he seems like a nice guy, things don't always go to plan. Would be nice if someone came thorugh with a decent drag setup like this. Best of luck with it. A call would have been nice though.
  2. Hmmm, sounds like this may be fun. Wonder whether I should dust off the cobwebs and bring my car up....
  3. Bump. Just a reminder that the meeting is 2nite.
  4. Apparently but I don't know anyone who's played that much. Most people work or have lives...
  5. Day 480 something. 38.6% Dunno how many cars 11.7M in the bank. Come on Day 694!!

    Comedy Festival

Went to the Comedy Gala as per usual. Saw Wil Anderson last week, and Dimitri Marten last night. All p!ss funny!!
  7. True but it's the models of car they are comparing. I thought the Galardo was RWD as is the Porka Carrera or GT2 (which would spank most cars). I'm just stirring the pot really. We all know Snowballs car is the schiznitz!! :headspin:
  8. Why are they comparing a RWD to 4WDs with just as much if not more power? That's simply unfair. As for the M3, I'm betting it wasn't a one sided fight there. Don't get me wrong, I think they are all magnificent cars (having driven all of them bar the Lambo) but when comparing things, don't compare a fork to a spoon.
  9. Yes it is!!!
  10. Yeah, photos came from the WRX forums. Wonderful thread bout whether WRXs are better than Ferraris....WTF???!!!!
  11. I beg to differ Nark. It's a great customer service response. Nice, short, simple. Perfect fob off question. What? You gonna write back and question it?
  12. Last year I bought my GF the Casio Elixim Z40. It's a 4 Megapixel with a 3x optical zoom. It's got a huge screen for a small camera and is easy to use. Quick startup was a must for me and this defiantely had it. http://world.casio.com/exilim/en/ex_z30_z40/ Highly recommend it.
  13. Update!! Coilovers have been sold but springs are still for sale. 2 sets for sale. Excellent condition. 1 x Tien springs 1 x Eibach springs Both excellent for street/circuit setups.
  14. Oh Sh!t yeah!! I remember that!! KLASSIC!!! From what I remember, it wasn't much of a bicep either...
  15. No idea, maybe grow up and be more responsible I also have a Mazda6 which is my daily driver (I hate PT). I was thinking of selling both and getting into a E46 M3 or wait for the E90 330 to be released. I don't wanna do the race thing anymore coz it'll take too much money to top what I've already accomplished. If anyone knows someone who's after a true street/drag car, let me know. There's a spotters fee for those who can sell the car.
  16. When I bought my GTR 3 years ago, a R33 GTR was still in the high 50k mark. The R34 GTRs were priced well over 100k. I didn't want a 32 GTR though because the interior was lacking in comfort and the car was somewhat outdated internally. Of course the RB26 would have been the same. I only decided to get serious on the car after reading so much about RH9 cars and I wanted to do it here. The 32 base would have been better for a race car (drag/strip) but I already had the 33 so I went with that instead. At the time, I was essentially choosing b/w a R33 GTR and a TT Supra. I went the R b/c of the 4WD, 4 seats and a decent sized boot coz I play a fair bit of golf. I still drive this car to golf on Sunday mornings
  17. Stock is redlined at 8000rpm. We built mine to rev out to 9500rpm but we limit it to 9000 on the track. Safety buffers are a prerequisite when racing big cars...
  18. Thanks mate. Reaction time makes no difference to the ET when we race. I could wait at the green light for 10 secs before launching and the only time which would be counted would be after I've broken the beams. The reaction time only matters when it's a heads up race. I just need to work more on the 60' times to bring the ET down. We have the MPH but now it's about the launching technique. It's no longer a case or rev to 8500rpm and drop the clutch. With power comes complications...

    What The !!

Yes it is Jack's GTR at the bottom. Someone was advertising this at Melb AutoSalon back in April last year. They stopped the video presentation when Jack had a word to them about loyalty payments for using his car as promotional material even though it didn't have the kit installed...
  20. Happy birthday Ni!! Hope you have a good one dude!!
  21. RH9 were the plates on the purple R34 Vspec 2 in Sydney owned by 1 of Mario's friends. The car did a 10.8 on 2540s. My car is a R33 midnight purple GTR with a custom Garrett high mount turbo and all the goodies to go with it. The best time so far was a 10.47 with 446rwkw. The car now has 617rwkw and we may go racing again after AutoSalon in April. My custom plates are RBDETT but I don't use those plates on the roads anymore. As to whether it will run 9's, I don't know. We'll get out there and try at some point but I'm not really fussed anymore. The car is for sale so whoever buys it can go for it if they like.
  22. Ahh, the committee at it's greatest! Those poor innocent Jap chix. I feel very sorry for them.
  23. "Is that a second engine??" -- Kid asking bout the 2 fuel pumps and the HICAS ECU in the boot of my car... Bloke 1: "617rwkw!!! Fark!!! That's a lot from a single turbo" Bloke 2: "Where's the turbo?" Bass Junky talking to person in reference to my car: BJ: "This car will beat a V8 and a formula 1 car in a drag race!!" P: "Are you sure?? How fast does a F1 cover a quarter?" BJ: "Low 11's...." Everyone around BJ: "You're full of it!" BJ walks away head down. (Sorry mate, had to mention it )
  24. Hey Shodo, Welcome aboard the SAU Express. This is one of the most informative Skyline sites on the Internet and most people would be happy to answer your questions. All we ask is that before you post a question, use the 'search' function first as it is most likely your question has been answered before. Good luck with it all.
  25. I've gone through my fair share of clutches and the OS twin was one of the best I've used. Mine wore out pretty quickly though coz I used it at 3 different drag sessions with around the 400+rwkw mark and the clutch couldn't handle the slipping off the line to launch the car. The simple problem with it for me was that it heated up too quickly and began slipping. On the street, it was awesome to use. Plenty of give and not like the HKS twins with the on/off feeling. The OS would slip nicely into gear off the line everytime. As a new manual driver, my suggestion is to stick to the heavy duty single plate and learn to drive that first. Once you have that worked out, the twin is a natural progession. The procedure is the same, it's just that the clutch is heavier. If you don't intend on having more than 250+ rwkw for some time (12 months+), sell it now and get another one later. Oh, and BTW, I love the rattling sound!! I'd take that noise over the BOV whooshing crud anyday.
