As soon as a car is modded and the other remains stock, there is no fair comparison. Both cars should come off the showroom floor, run in to 5000 kms and then spanked around by professional drivers. Gimme the Ferrari anyday. Would much rather have a Ferrari than my GTR.

Good point....I forgot bout that

It's not really a case of "whats 'wardest'" It's who's Wardest? Wardest is a fellow Skyline owner with a sense of humor which cannot be taught. He brings life to the dead and makes things intereting whether it be by being controvertial, damning or simply funny. As far as I concerned, his comments always lighten the SAU Vic day :nowigetit

BINGO!! 2 words... "No Wardest"

In my short stint in Japan, I must say the best food which wasn't Japanese when I was there was MOS Burger hands down!! The place rocked so hard!! I went twice in a day even though I loved the Jap food sooo much. My fav Jap food was Jap BBQ even though it was a little pricey, followed by the little ramen shops and then my least fav was the bloody god aweful omellete restaurants than put your entire meal into a few eggs. Putrid IMO.

SAU Members cars been Featured in Mags?
Leewah replied to geno8r's topic in General Automotive Discussion
My car had a feature article in HPI a little while back (can't rememeber the issue number). Should have another one coming out soon in AutoSalon mag as I'm the current "Outright Record Holder". The article was taken during semi finals. -
That avatar was made by a friend of mine who didn't have much else to do that day. He made it as a joke but I decided that coz I haven't run a 9 yet, this would be the next best thing to be animated....

Nup, so it didn't happen Sorry bout that Geoff. It was just sooo plesent in the sun shing down upon us and leaning against the car came a byproduct of my laziness. Appologies and if you ever want to, you can lean on my car anytime Just don't claim it as yours coz I didn't lay any claim to yours....

I live in Richmond and see you coming down Vic St in the mornings occasionally. I'm in a Mazda 6. I'll give ya a honk next time I see you. It was a bit erratic but I guess there are 3 lanes on the SE Arterial for a reason Let's just say that I saw a number of black bursts of smoke from your exhaust Just made me wish I had my car so I could play too....

Hey Marcus, Do you live around Richmond? I see your car up and down Vic St a fair bit and followed you down on the SE Arterial on Sunday morning.

Poida, Getting into the TS garage was pretty easy. I kinda just wondered in looking around. I managed to get some of those photos before Nagata san came down the stairs at the back and walked straight to me and asked me to leave the garage area. He pointed in the direction of the showroom if I wanted to buy stuff. I then pulled out the HPI mag with my car in it and my dyno chart from AutoSalon with 617rwkw. He was notably impressed and said to come back in 30 mins. I headed up to the showroom, bought a sh1teload of gear and went back to see him after talking to one of the directors about TS, cars and the import scene in AU. I went back to Nagata and we talked outside for a bit and then I started asking about the Supra. We talked for a good 10 mins bout it and then I asked how the RB26 compared to the 2JZ and he offered to show me The story ends here. Not to brag, but I think it was simply I could prove that I wasn't wasting peoples time and I was genuinely interested in what TS does. The customers at TS obviously spend ALOT of money there and as my car was developed outside of JP, it held some kind of weight. The ride in the Supra was defianately not expected or even considered so I probably wouldn't go round asking for a ride. Ever spent time watching ants building things in a methodical fashion? TS is exactly the same. Put something out of place and chaos will break loose. Just be courteous and everything will be fine

I hardly call semicomps or slicks chearter tyres. The point of the exercise is to get the fastest time possible within the rules of the category. Some may argue that Nittos are cheater tyres in drag racing but aslong as they are recognised a street radial tyre which RH9 cars must run, I'm gonna use them. It's just getting an advantage over the competition in my opinion in an effort to get the best time and if they are cheater tyres, that would mean people like Ben, Andrew, Crazy Tony and Nige were all cheating amongst others.

Great day for it. Good to see many SAU cars getting out there and giving it a righteous go. Thanks for the ride Snowy, much appreciated. Ash, sorry there wasn't a second session mate. I feel like I ganked your spot Congrats to those who bettered their PB. For the newbies, hope you all enjoyed it. From a specatators view, it's was awesome.

I like the idea of this however I'm gonna play the Devil's Advocate in this thread and pose this to you. If I'm aged 18-20 and I've just sat my stage 4 test and passed with flying colors, does this give me the right to drive like a fricken idiot on public roads? Other people shouldn't be allowed to do this coz they haven't passed the test like I have. I'm a professional driver now coz my state licencing center has given me a sticker to tell me so and coz I suppposedly know my car and roads better than other people, I have the right to drive fast, cut others off and do other stupid things on the streets. As was posted by Rezz in the "other" thread, although experience and training are a big factor in this issue, another issue which people are neglecting is respect for authority. People in this country go out of their way to show rebellious behaviour. The number of high powered Skylines in Japan driven by young people defiantely outweigh us and yet they don't seem to have as many problems on the streets. People in this country, both young and old need to start respecting road rules, licencing rules and other road users. Without this, the problem won't go away.

Ok. Here we go then.... I have a new project car in mind which involves buying a fairly cheap car and modifying it in a way which hasn't been done in Australia yet. It will involve the car being off the road for around 6 months having all the new stuff done to it. The dilema here is that all this money will be poured into something which will most likely be unroadworthy and illegal but highly styled and a performance animal!! The other option is to get into a nice comfy Euro and use it as my daily driver as well as a track car unmodded. It will cost more than the project car but resale value will be better and there will be less headaches with servicing and broken bits as it will remain unmodded. I will also be driving it everyday which I think justifies the extra $$$ it will cost initally. The GF is telling me I'm nutz to do another project car and do the Euro. I love the idea of the project and am really thinking it maybe more fun to do even if the hassles present themselves. Judge Wardest, am I right in doing the project car or should I listen to a level headed 3rd party and settle down with the Euro and cruise in comfort?

Dear Judge Wardest, It's good to have you back on board and posting again for the time being. Considering I am one of your better friends and have known you longer than any other forum goers, I'm gonna kick this one off. Who should I vote for this weekend? I love the idea of an economy in good hands and a proven track record of previous years has shown me that the coallition is doing a good job. The only problem is a PM who seems to be not very clued in on the goings on of his own ministers and has to ask G.W Bush whether he can wipe his bum or not. I am however also intrigued by this Latham character who promises the World but has been blamed for letting a local council economy fall on it's a$$ in the short time he was managing it? I would take this to mean that with a supposed AU$800 billion budget, he could righteously fark that up too even though he wouldn't be the treasurer. The track record for the ALP has hardly impressed me with the level of interest rates considering the last ALP PM who is now a pig farmer in some secluded area. What does impress me about the ALP though is their promises to help people in my socioeconomic group who don't earn $1,000,000 a year. Can he really provide the solutions for me? Will I suffer in other ways when he helps me out with these promises? Does the advertising I see on TV influence my opinions of both parties? Probably, but isn't that what the ads are suppposed to do? Right now, I'm leaning towards the More Beer Party even though I don't drink but I want to support my friends who would benefit from my precious vote.

I don't understand it... Why do people constantly have to put their lives and more importantly the lives of others at risk when it will eventually end up in tragedy. It's simply a matter of time until drivers no matter what car out drive themselves and cause an accident. I noticed this morning had damp roads too. What would convince you that you can drag race on public wet roads without the risk of injury?? Yes, I feel for the parents and family of those involved in the accident but I'm having trouble feeling sympathy for the drivers of the vehicles who risk lives in an uncontrolled environment. Drag racing at the track is risky enough but at least there are safety crews and concrete walls there incase there is a problem and you lose control. There ain't anyone on the roads to save your sorry a$$ if you fark up. Take it off the public roads you farking jokers and stop thinking your're better than you really are.

Great work Mark. As Munro said, not many people truely understand the time and effort involved to get there. Good luck with the 10s....and then the 9s.....and then the..........
