  1. I'm gonna be there and then heading to Earthcore on Monday!! I'll also be at Hard Kandy on Friday this wk and next. GTR-400, if you wanna hook up, send me a PM....
  2. Look at the diff casing at the rear of the car. Vspecs have fins coming off the casing for cooling purposes I believe. Also, I believe Vspecs have an extra light on the dash for the ATTESA-PRO system
  3. I work full time Mon-Fri but luckily for me, I own part of the workshop and my car spends most of it's life there.... We are open on weekends or open late by appointment. Give us a call on 9512-7591 and you'll speak to Gerald or Nigel who can organise a time to help you out.
  4. The only way the GTR could outbrake the 1050kg car is if the brakes were a hellava lot bigger than that of the 1050kg car. Eg. If a full weight GTR had 8 pot calipers and 16" carbon rotors with formula 1 grade brake pads and the 1050kg car had pissy 2pot calipers with 13" rotors, then I guess the GTR would possibly win. It's simple physics. It will take a lot more clamping pressure to slow down a heavier object.
  5. I'll be there to propose a couple new things too.
  6. I know but I guess I'm not allowed to enter on the grounds I was there last night and saw everything....
  7. Congrats to all who made it possible. The stand will only be greater now.
  8. D, It all depends on which dyno they used don't it.... I got a dyno chart which says that I ran 600+ too Correction factor was a little high though....
  9. Hey David, Check out http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=13305 for more details on tuning shops in Melb. I highly recommend Ice Performance
  10. Does anyone know the rules for the dyno challenge this year? Are you allowed to run with NOS or does it simply have to be turbo power? Depending on this answer, I may put my car in again and see how we go.
  11. On behalf of Ice Performance, I give my sincerest apologies for the delays. In the defence of G and Nige, how many workshops do you know will always give your car back on the agreed time?? Snowy, we hope that you are happy with the car and good luck with Philip Island. D, I tried a few mates for a GTR BOV, but no luck. Sorry mate. You are right about them though. They are truely the best BOV around standard or aftermarket. I can't imagine my car, Nige's or Ben's without them. They are a bit of a rarity. Good luck with the hunt.
  12. Ash, you now have my number. James, you already know it. We'll see you there!!!

    Hard Kandy!!

Post has been put in the events section!! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...0892#post660892
  14. Alrighty!! It's now Tues which means that Kandy is only 3 sleeps away. Anyone who wants to come should and for those who don't wanna come, get stuffed and miss out on a great night out!! Anyways, I'm gonna be there with Wardest from 11:30, most probably in the crn next to the dance floor next to Jane's Bar to start and then we'll be at the front of the dance floor after that. If you wanna try calling or SMSing me, PM me and I'll give you my number. If you wanna be on a guest list, I suggest you sign up at www.hardkandy.com as it'll allow you $12 entry rather than the usual $16. $4 isn't all that much but you can still save it just by going to the website which ain't a bad deal. See you all there!! :rave:

    Hard Kandy!!

I'll defiantely be there. Tix are only $45 atm!!!
  16. Hey Smoothy, You may have a 13" penis which was proven on a dyno, God only knows how but 500+rwkw is achievable. Just look Jason's R34 (rh9.com.au) project which never got finished in the end. His car made 500+awkw with a shot of NOS with 2540s which are low mounted...
  17. The NOS was on from the start of the run. This is because my NOS is triggered by a full throttle switch.
  18. Congrats on the big number. Don't forget peoples that the run was done in Shootout mode too which generally speaking will give a slightly higher reading than a dyno run on a calibrated setting. My run was done on the standard settings for DD dyno. Shootout mode would have produced a bigger number. http://iceperformance.com.au/LeeWahGTRNOSRun.jpeg The best for my car so far was a 10.47@137MPH when it only had 446rwkw. We have not had a clean NOS run yet as the clutch was slipping when we went out last. The best so far with the NOS was a 10.7@132MPH but we have seen a MPH of 140 but the time was still only a 10.7 coz I bogged the launch Good luck at the track and hope to see some good times.
  19. As far as I know, Splitfire coils do help produce a larger spark than stock coils however it is not a CDI. A CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) is an add-on box which amplifys the charge of the spark during combustion. I have an Autronic CDI in my car as the ECU is also an Autronic. HKS have the Twin Power Ignition Amplifier, Motec also has it's own CDI. CDIs usually retail for around the $1000-$1500 mark depending on the brand and the size of the charge it can produce.

    Hard Kandy!!

Nark, is it coz yr losing the 'Line that you have to get the GF to speak on yr behalf?? The cool sly wit is going out the door just like yr car.... :devfu: "Open his eyes wide up"?? Is that a racist comment????? JK. Jack, I figured that if my car goes faster with some additives, maybe I would too. I was right!!!! Horus, I don't look as old as I really am so therefore I can pass quite comfortably as a 22 yr old Some of us just have the gift of the gab. James, H&F @ Chasers was awesome!!! I used to go a fair bit too. I was also an original promotor for Goo @ Metro on Thurs and Gspot on Fri when were back in 95-97. Ahhh, the memories of the days I didn't have to wake up in the morning....

    Hard Kandy!!

Admittingly, I haven't been to Bubble or Bass Station yet but am intending on going in the very near future. For the timebeing though, there is no alternative to the Kandy. I have met some people who have been going for over 3 years and they reckon that it is simply getting better as time goes on. Scott Alert is a dead set legend and one of the best DJs I have ever heard anywhere!!!! I have found Nirvana and it's name is Hard Kandy!!! Oh and BTW, Nark, for the fact that you are leaving the Skyline fraternity, noone is listening to you anymore :whip:

    Hard Kandy!!

I'm bored today so I felt that I had to post something totally irrelvant to cars and the like. How many Vic SAU goers visit Hard Kandy on a Friday night? I'm a reasonably newbie at going but I have nothing to say about it besides I'm hooked!!! :rave: The first time was just before Xmas and then I've been the last 2 weeks running and it has gone off in a big way everytime. I was kindly introduced to HK by Wardest and I must say that it one of the best things I have ever experienced. It gives me something to look forward to during the week, especially today as not only is "Hump Day" but it is only 2 sleeps until the next Kandy session!! Unfortunately I won't be there this Friday due to other committments but I will definately be there next Friday and other Fridays to come.
  25. My condolences James. Hope it all works out for ya.
