  1. The rotors on the $3500 kit were used for about 3 months of normal road use. I didn't take the car to the track/dragstrip at all due to fuelling issues so it was all normal (non performance) street driving. Before the rotors went onto my car, they were fully machined. There is a slight groove on the inside the rotors but nothing drastic.
  2. It's not the diameter of the rim which dictates whether the brakes will fit. It's the width of the rim which will make a difference.
  3. Can someone please either email me or PM me the current details of WTF is going on with the SAU MAS stand. I've been in Qld for the last 3 wks and checked the Innernet once so I think I'm a long way behind on everything. I'm still a possible starter in MAS as my engine is now out and we're starting the rebuild on Monday. Finger crossed, me engine will be back together and in the car the week before MAS. Although I'm not promising my car will be at MAS, I'm hopping it will be and will be included in the SAU stand.
  4. My GTR will be there as long as the engine can be rebuilt in time. Had a bit of an incident just before Heathcote and hence my no show Let's just say that it was time for the engine to pack it in and have a rebuild which means that when we get out again, the rebuilt engine should hold some decent HP.
  5. Does it really matter what type of modelling it's for??? I just wanna help out a mate where I can :shake:
  6. Taken from www.exvitermini.com Everything is ready to go - the BFG Drag Radials have been put onto the BBS alloys and they are now on the car. The car looks even better now. Cool. The new wider slicks have also been delivered and have been put onto their rims. We've also got another 2 barrels of ELF race fuel, and that was all we were waiting for, we are all set. The new BBS is now online. As it is hosted inside the performanceforums.com BBS, you will be required to join it if you wish to post. As they are well moderated, we believe that is the best way to ensure that the moron content that plagued the previous test board doesn't return. Hopefully the next update I post will be something for me to be proud of... This is not to say that everyone involved in this project shouldn't be, they've done more than was asked of them. Jim, Theo, Daniel, Simon, Matt, and Josh have all worked very late nights and harder than ever to ensure that the cars were ready on time for this weekend - even when issues came up that were not of their doing, they persevered and made it happen. I'm pretty sure that I even saw a bead of sweat on Jim's forehead (we need to check the video evidence to substantiate that, so it is un-official for now... Taken from www.rh9.com.au Update: May 30, 2003 - [email protected] RH9: Well we are racing this weekend. RH9 stage 1 / 2 is now complete. Thank you once again to Jim, Daniel, Simon, Josh and Mat for their hard earned work which has now completed the next stage. I would also like to thank Russell Clarke from Heathcote Raceway for making this weekend possible for our test and tune. The last things to happen are bonnet restraints which will be done today and the sticker set up on the car which will also be done this morning. Jim tuned RH9 last night to run NOS and lets just say that we made over 500kw's at all 4 wheels in 5th gear with 11,400nm of torque. This thing will be a ****'n handful to keep in a straight line. Watching RH9 come on boost is something that only a few of us saw in the flesh last night at about 11pm on the DYNO. Yes I have heaps of videos of the tunning and power runs. This weekend we are off to Heathcote to better our time of 10.81. Thanks to Andrej, the Hollinger gearbox is now well run in and just needs to be treated like a dirty bitch. The harder and rougher you are with it the better it will perform. I am hoping the motor holds together, if it does I am sure we will make a few people envious. At this stage we are hoping for a 9.99 or better. If RH9 runs a 9 second pass my next update will be a great feeling to upload. Thank you once again to the team at CRD. Fingers crossed we will be in the RH9 club by Monday morning.
  7. How's that for a kick in the teeth as a surprise?? GTR700 and RH9 are racing at Heathcote this weekend!!!! Dunno if they're racing on Sat or Sun but let's hope it's Sunday so we can see how the big boys do it!! I'm hanging for this weekend more than ever. Let's just hope my car is ready to roll by then...
  8. My car will be there. Oh yes!!! As for the chicky...23 blonde, size 8-10 and ready to rock. She wants to do it coz she's building her modelling portfolio and wants different scenes for her shots so I suggested this would be good for her. I just need details.
  9. Hey Ambz, PM or email me know bout the girly meeting so I can hook something up for my potential participant.
  10. Can someone please PM or email me with the details of MAS? As stated way earlier I couldn't make the meeting but wanted in on the stand... I'm going to QLD for 3 wks come Tuesday but I'll still be on the forums when I'm up there bumming about doing nothing
  11. I may have a model lined up for SAU MAS if we require her. She is a piece of work and wants to do this so she can build her modelling portfolio. So if these shirts and models thing is serious, let me know and I'll hook her up. She can't make the whole of MAS but will be free to come for a few hours during one of the two days. Is entry for participants and partners going to be free for the whole weekend?
  12. Ice Performance is in Cheltenham and we can service the car for you. Give Gerald or Nigel a call at the factory and they can tee up a time for you.
  13. Thanks for that. Appreciate it. Also, it wasn't me driving down Toorak Rd last night. It would have been Gerald going for a hoon somewhere. I don't get to see my own car all that much
  14. FARK!!! I can't make it coz I've got a conference call here at work till 11pm with the US. I really want my car to be part of the SAU MAS stand so if someone could fill me in on all the details via PM or email, that would be great. I may also have a model for the stand for a couple hours on either the Sat or Sun, but this is yet to be confirmed. Please don't count me out coz I really wanna be part of this. Also, you are discussing comps, I will be happy to participate in the HP challenge on behalf of MAS.
  15. I'm no longer cruising up with the SAU crew. I've got a big Sat night so I'm gonna head up in my own time. Should still be there by 11 though. 8am is just waaaaaay too early for a Sunday morning
  16. I think Wardest's Midnight blue GTS-T would also look good just for the fact that the paint job is so dammmmn sexy!!
  17. Although I have plans on Sunday day&night, I guess I'll try to squeeze a couple hours out of the GF time to come to this meeting. Lets just hope it isn't a case of standing around for a couple hours chinwagging and then nothing happening from it.....
  18. I've seen over 260 on my speedo but as most speedos are optimistic, I would estimate I was doing closer to the 245-250 mark. My car has so much more to go, I'd like to take it to a runway and try to pass the 300 barrier.
  19. I'm assuming this means Thurs night? I'm up for it at this point. Where? When?
  20. Legacy is a great thing....
  21. I got another 2 people possibly coming. SirVrooommm in his monster 180Sx and SirWRX in a 400rwkw Supra. Should be good for some more action.
  22. Come on!! These are great deals. Heaps of people out there want GTR Brembos for their car. Why don't you want APs? These are both 6 piston setups and both brake packages shite all over the Brembo setup and none of you want them? Unbelievable
  23. Heathcote's track is defiantely better than Calder due to the fact of less traffic. As for the burnout area, good luck finding a drag strip which doens't have one. If you want to miss the water, just drive around it. You'll find most GTRs do unless they have semi comps or drag radials or similar with a torque splitter to make use of the water.
  24. Yes, I am referring to Nige's Supra. Engine is still a work in progress but doesn't take a lot to put it back together if the motivation is there. The blue 180SX isn't ours but Gerald has his own 180SX project which he can put together if the motivation is there. All in all, if the motivation is there, people will get things done
