  1. I hope they catch the people involved and they get a lot more than a slap on the wrist. A car of mine was stolen - not recovered a few years ago. The police were less than useful, my insurance had paid out before the police called me with an incident number. The ECU comes out of the Stagea pretty much anytime it's parked on the street and i'm unsure of the area or if it's at home (locked up) but i'm away working. Won't stop someone putting it on a tilt tray or stripping parts on the spot but it makes me feel a bit better.
  2. I have run 19x9.5 + 12 with 25mm spacers on the rear, was running 245/35 rubber and could have gone up to 255's. I'm now running R34 GTR rims and 265/35/18 and rubber and 25mm spacers, car drives about 10099993785492569% better. Bloody close to rubbing springs on the inside though. It would be a VERY tight fit/may not fit, you will need spacers, camber, stretched rubber and rolled or probably flared guards to run the 10.5. It will look fat as all f**k though.
  3. Advice/help from those in the know please. I have a fairly noticeable size difference between legs due to an old knee injury and would like some guidance as to how to even them up. I have full range of movement but the injured knee isn't as stable as my good knee. My lower body workout currently consist of the following once a week: Walking lunges, Squats (parallel), Deadlifts, Hamstring curls, calf raises, single leg dead lifts and jumping squats. Try to do cardio twice a week, HIIT resistance circuit, HIIT on rowing machine/stationary cycle, if I have time XC mountain biking. Also do two upper body days a week, a three day split works best for me so I can keep workouts short after a long day at work. No training Sunday/Monday. Some people tell me to do single leg exercises and do more reps for the weak leg, others say start with weak leg and only do the same amount of reps for both sides. Other people insist I should keep doing what I’m already doing and just concentrate on driving with the weaker leg more. I train for general health and to blow off steam after a 13+ hr shifts. I do need to have a reco at some point but time, money and rehab process put me off the idea while it mostly works ok. If anyone can help me out that would be great as it's really starting to shit me. EDIT: I just worked it out MORE SQUATS!
  4. My 260RS, 300+kw and sticky rubber does 12.5 L/100km for Highway and i dont bother working it out around Sydney it would be probably close to 20 L/100km. My Dad has an ARX with a turbo back exhaust and gets around to 10 L/100km on the highway, 13ish L/100km for daily use but thats country town/open road driving. Having spent a fair amount of time in the ARX it is a HEAPS better car for daily use. My Autech is a toy and isn't used (or suitable for) daily.
  5. Make sure you get the tape deck option otherwise switching tunes will take ages.
  6. Hey man, where in Sydney are you?
  7. A small VFD (couple of kW max) which can take a single phase supply and output a 3 phase supply would do the job. It would be a farly easy job for an electrician experienced with such things.
  8. Don't be a girl, run it with the 19's on. My wagon ran 12.3 with 19's, 245 rubber and less power.
  9. PM sent. Damn that's a nice wagon
  10. I would say it probably is an authentic Autech 260RS. What colour is the rest of the trim? pretty quick way to shut the IT"S GOT STANDARD SEATS! crew up. Have a proper look at the gauge cluster, the taco red lines at 8k and the shift indicator has been blanked. It is and Autech cluster, pretty well know fact Autechs have the auto shift indicator blanked out. Everybody knows they have an RB25 engine number on the VIN plate. My FAST verified 260RS came with cup holders too, along with all sorts of random crap the Japanese owner had added or changed. Ever added a non-standard piece of trim to your car? AC/Stereo trim in gloss black. Pretty sure this is Autech specific trim, never seen it on a regular Stagea. Steering wheel looks right to me but hey it takes about 5 minutes to swap that over. Good luck with sale man is sounds like a pretty sweet car, Probably just needs Z32s and a heap more power is possible.
  11. This would probably explain why my car smells like gearbox oil after a couple of hours on the highway? I Put Shockproof light weight in the gear box when i changed the clutch. The crunch 5>4 is now gone though.
  12. Beyond drivable in the real world/bump stop love. If you like the look of your front bar DO NOT DUMP the Autech (please) the overhang is a killer, it WILL scrape if you look at a speed hump straight on. I'm running 34 gtr front struts with king springs lows (25mm drop on a GTR) and this is too low for practical driving.
  13. R33 struts will fit front only, I think they work pretty well when you combine a heavy JDM spring with the extra weight of the stagea. Rear GTR struts will be too short. I've tried it...
  14. DIY high flow cat?
  15. Terrible night over all, Rain stopped things for a while, shit box VL dropping oil twice and some other piece of crap dying at 3/4 track. Best I could manage was 12.6 with a 1.9 60 foot and 185 kmh trap speed. Really struggling to get it off the line with the new clutch.
  16. The strut brace on my 260RS is a spot on match for the one on a mates 33 GTR, I've had his in my engine bay to check this for myself and I'm going to order a 33 brace soon.
  17. I will be heading out to WSID tonight if the weather holds out. Anyone else keen?
  18. Not surprising really considering who is selling this car. Unless you can view an auction sheet you are probably safe to assume most imports will have had a "hair cut" these days. Even then it there is a fair chance it has had one at home before it went to auction.
  19. Yeah but if i don't want to pay for Coke/Pepsi i can buy a bottle of home brand cola for 90 cents and water pretty much for free from a tap. The cheap alternative to buying over priced fuel.... walking.
  20. FWD ? Lame... Thats just maxima.
  21. Thanks everyone for the offers of stock parts. I move down in January but the cars are registered in NSW till the middle of the year. So i think i'll tidy the cars up and take them for inspections asap and then i have plenty of time to sort the cars out if the fail. We've got a dB meter and emissions tester at work so i'll try to borrow the dB for a weekend. Yes M35 steering wheel, heaps cheaper than a replacement stock one/GTR wheels and much nicer/legal than the Personal deap dish wheel that was on the car, it pretty much goes straight on. The clock spring just needs a little foreplay/dirty talk to make it fit.
  22. So unplug the AVC-R, the P-FC is behind the kick pannel so that should be fine and the BOVs are actually plumb back mounted in stock location. I've got plans to get some coilovers as i'm not happy with the ride on the stock struts so i'll just set them above 100mm when that happens. I'll try to borrow a dB meter so i can work out if i need to do anything with the exhaust. Sweet! Thanks everyone for the help with this
  23. Thanks man, also rocking a twin plate clutch for that real race car noise.
