Evo 6 Turbo On A Evo 7 ? 10.5T Vs 9.8T Vs 9.0T?

#@scotty nm35 oooooo niceeee, what was she pushing?? And whered you get the engine built? -
#@89CAL Whats the problem with it?

Hmmm not bad, a tune does wonders in regards to fuel economy. My evo 7 is a 45l tank, fuel light usually comes on with 15litres left in the tank, so roughly get about 270 kilometers under city driving with 15 liters to spare. I usually drive an additional 10 litres worth on fuel light resulting in around 350 ks with 4-5 liters left city driving, i reckon if i dont get on boost, i can push it close to 400ks per tank, which is decent for a early 2000 evo That being said, my fuel effciency increased after a service, turbo back exhaust and tune, before i was getting 280ks every 40 liters ==' If i drive with a heavy foot, probably 280 ks max (if that) from the full 45 liters. Evo's run very rich up top from factory.

Deza3000 replied to Deza3000's topic in General Automotive Discussion
damn, thats no good, factory manifolds ftw haha. Im not at the stage of making 500whp so i dont think a manifold is necessary at this stage. But still, i thought tomei had their shit together -
Exedy clutches are pretty damn good though... i wouldnt be surprised if it lasts couple of launchs and the drive home

Thinking About Getting A Na R32 Or R33

Thinking About Getting A Na R32 Or R33
Deza3000 replied to jake1296's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Enough power for what? No n/a skyline has enough power. As sinista stated, just get something else. BF/FG ford falcon xr6 is a good car to get on your P's. ZF auto transmission, insanely quick, will probably even beat a stock r34/r33 turbo... Or better yet, if you really really want a turbo, get a Golf GTI, or a mitsubishi ralliart, both got the Dual clutch gear boxes, both turbo, both do 0-100 in 6 seconds, a simple catback exhaust, boost and tune gets you running in r34 GTR territory... Also no skyline is cheap to run...ever haha -
Naa if you dont like the game you are allowed to swap/return within 7 days of purchase. Pretty sure anyway.,,

Same here man, horrible game, its literally burnout with licensed cars! No progression, no story, not hot girls, no relation to real life, all arcade, no balance of simulation/arcade. Piss poor game. Only non-car enthusiasts and preteen sheep find such an appalling game entertaining. Haha underground was awesome

Evo 6 Turbo On A Evo 7 ? 10.5T Vs 9.8T Vs 9.0T?
Deza3000 replied to Deza3000's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Oh nice, yea heard good things about that turbo, Now that i think about it, Tomei seems cheaper than the rest of the aftermarkets (good aftermarket turbos anyway) no worries man, no pressure Ill inbox ya when ready, ive confirmed that the evo 9 turbo is considered an "upgrade" even for evo 6s running the 10.5s on a evo forum, so must be a pretty damn good turbo. im planning on getting a higher flowing fuel pump as well, wouldnt want to lean out haha. Was thinking of doing the timing belt too, no clue when that was changed -
Im a PC and ps4 guy, but gotta say, some multiplatform PC ports suck! Buggy as sh**, rather play on ps4. Watch dogs sucked on PC, need for speed rivals sucked on PC, Im sure GTA V will suck on PC just like GTA 4 did... at least for the first 6 months, then the new patches start rolling in, but, by that time i would of already been over the game and moved onto something else

Evo 6 Turbo On A Evo 7 ? 10.5T Vs 9.8T Vs 9.0T?

#@Mick_o FP green, bloody awesome turbo, cost as much as a 2.2l stroker for a 4g63 haha How much you want for the evo 9 turbo? Oh really? I thought tomei was a reputable manufacturer -
Evo 6 Turbo On A Evo 7 ? 10.5T Vs 9.8T Vs 9.0T?
Deza3000 replied to Deza3000's topic in General Automotive Discussion
#@scotty nm35 haha yea im not too keen on second hand turbos either, but new ones are sooo expensive haha. New tomei turbo with equal spool time as an oem 9 and better mid/top end boost pressure is 1.6k. Evo 9 turbos are hard to find, let alone too expensive -
The flutter you speak of is compressor surge. That SUTUTUTU sound is because aftermarket bovs have STIFFER springs to prevent boost leak. The stiffer springs can also cause the bov to not open at all, causing the air to rush back throguh the turbo, giving that famous ricey VSHHHSUTUTUTUT. If you want the flutter, take out your blow off valve, and put it in reverse, so the valve never opens, or just block off the BOV all together. You should now hear some significant fluttering. If you want a louder flutter, install a POD filter, that shizz amplifies induction and flutter sounds. Want it even more louder? Get a steal intake pipe, then you'll hear it from down the street. That being said, compressor surge sucks lol. And its a massive cop magnet. Provides no performance benefits, unless your BOV is leaking on high boost. If anything, it provides negative effects such as premature wear on your turbo.

N/a Engine Conversion In A R33Gtst
Deza3000 replied to scithe93's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ive owned a r33, r34 and a evo, ive never got pulled over by a cop. If the car is flagged, thats another story. I reckon its gonna cost you more money than its worth, no point. Just wait a few months and get a turbo car closer to the end of your Ps, then let your rents drive that while you drive their car, so when the time comes, at 12:00am you can go crazyyyyy with your new turbocharged car Its what i did when i went from R33 to evo. Sold my r33 earlier than expected, so bought the evo earlier than planned(due to dad persisting i buy one), let him drive it till i was off my Ps Took the risk here and there....got caught LOL. -
Evo 6 Turbo On A Evo 7 ? 10.5T Vs 9.8T Vs 9.0T?
Deza3000 replied to Deza3000's topic in General Automotive Discussion
#@scotty nm35 Hmm I see, evo 6 turbos are dirt cheap so i just wanted to make sure. So the evo 6 turbo will be prone to loosing boost up top due to having 2 wastegate pucks? http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/ringwood/engine-engine-parts-transmission/turbo-from-evo-6-for-sale-/1049955958 Found that one, reckon its any good? anything is better than my current turbo at this stage #@Mick_o Wow thats some beefy figures. Yea mines currently tuned on 98, pushing only 180awkw It should be pushing 200~220 but the turbo solenoid is soft and the compressor wheel is missing chunks. Also a thick gap between compressor housing and the wheel. Not a good sign. Tuner said that its either been boosted prior to me purchasing the car, or, the more likely scenario, a rock went through the compressor wheel. Mivec must help a lot with throttle response aye? -
Beware - R33 Gtr For Sale In Sydney (Part 2)
Deza3000 replied to dodgyimports's topic in General Automotive Discussion
http://www.j-spec.com.au/info/Wound-back-mileage2 Pretty decent information. Makes me want to purchase cars directly from them. Good marketing tactic "we sell imports with genuine Ks" haha Just make sure you have the certificate, history and import dates and it should give you a clearer indication. I found that cars which are imported to australia closer to its manufacturer date "e.g. 2002 r34 GTR imported in 2005, is more likely to have genuine Ks, then one which was importer in 2012. Combine that with full service history every 5000ks + the date of service + Import certificate(including date), you should have some level of peace of mind. Especially when in private sales.
